Waving her hand, she rolled her eyes at me, "Whatever you say." While I shook my head at her childish behaviour.

But suddenly my smile dropped as realisation hit me and I swallowed a lump that had formed in my throat, "W...Will they C....Come to kill Roman?" I asked in concern because according to Freya—it's impermissible to chose a human partner for a vampire.

Her brows knitted as if she was thinking about something, her shoulders slumped and suddenly her mood turned pensive.

"Freya?" I called, giving a light and gentle shake on her thigh. "Are you okay?"

"No." She responded suddenly, "They will never come to kill him because he doesn't belong to clan, so the rules don't applicable on him."

"Oh. That's a good thing." I said as I Came to know that Roman was safe even though he had done many bad and unacceptable things to me. But I just can't see him or anyone I know in danger.

"This is horrible." I murmured with disbelief. "How could they did that to an innocent child? Is this the reason why he's like this because he feels disgraced and disgusted by himself?"

She looked at me as if I had grown two heads over my body. "No! he's never been ashamed of himself. In fact he was the self esteemed and Confident person. What do you think who brought Marcel's business empire at this level from where people look like a mere ant?"
