I'm staring at the windows of our classroom when the rain started to pour and from here, I noticed a girl standing not far from the gates of the academy. I clenched my hands when I recognized who that person was. She's already here? Is she following me? I was about to stand up but Sean stopped me. I think he noticed me looking at her.

"Don't make a move yet. You'll get your family in trouble." He said.

"Again." He added as he looked at me seriously. A month already passed and my sister's funeral was held in Italy. I still can't forget what she had experienced there. How she died. Every time I remember that tragic incident, all I that I can think of is Aviana. The person who killed my sister! I want to kill her... But the question is will I be able to kill her?

I just continued to play the red rose pin at my hand. This is what she gave me that night. She said that it could protect me so I accepted it even though it was meant for her. Mom gave it to her, not for me. Because between us two, mom knows Ava can't protect herself.

"Good." The professor suddenly said that made me look at him and a student suddenly came to our classroom.

"This is Ms. Beatrice Gustavo. She is a transfer student from New Jersey." He added and everyone shouted. It's already in the middle of the semester why did they still accept a transfer student? But never mind that, it's not my problem to meddle with.

Everyone's buzzing, they seem so excited about her. Well, she's a beauty. Good face. Good figure. She has a white complexion and tall like a model. Hence, I noticed that she looked at me. Did she saw me staring at her?

"Careful." Sean suddenly whispered to my ears.

"What?" I asked surprised.

"Nothing." He then answered. I looked again at the girl and she's still looking at me. She did not even avert her gaze. I just choose to look at the window and saw that Aviana was not standing where she was before.

Where the hell are you now?

"Hey wait up." Someone suddenly said behind me so that made me look at the person. I looked around and noticed that we are the only one who's walking down the corridors, she must be calling me.

"You're calling me?" I asked her as I pointed myself and she nodded in return.

"Do I know you?" I asked.

"I'm Beatrice, the next heir of Gustavo Fa-" She blurted out that made me come near her to cover her mouth.

Damn this girl!

"Are you insane?" I coldly asked her. She pulled my hand away from her mouth.

"Ohh. So frightening..." She said and acted like she was scared by what I've said.

"This is our academy... An academy for a person who is involved in the Mafia world. So, tell me... why can't I act and say what I want?" She stated which made me dumbfounded.

"W-what?" I asked in disbelief.

"If you don't believe me. Ask your friend." She said and smirked at me. I noticed a shadow from a room.

"Who's there?" I asked. Sean immediately got out of the room.

"Got caught. My bad." He stated with his hands up.

"Damn it! Sean?" I said as he laughed at me.

"Sorry for keeping it a secret okay." He said and patted my shoulders.

"She's a friend. No need to feel alert." He added. I don't know what's happening right now or what's happening in my life but is my world this messed up?

I already got home and saw mom sitting in our living room. Looking at Ava's picture again. I went towards her and when she noticed me, she immediately put back the picture at the table.

"You're home." She said and smiled.

"Yes. Where's Dad?" I asked.

"Work." She answered and came near me.

"Ace... You need to go back to Europe. Tonight." She said.

"Why?" I asked.

"You need to prepare yourself." She paused and fixed my tie.

"You see... You'll be turning 18 next year and I don't know if boys from our ancestors get their ability at this age. Although this is not the age that they are waiting for, we just want you to be ready at any circumstances." She added and looked at me deeply.

"Okay," I replied in defeat. I don't want to be away with them because I don't want to hear any news about anyone dying. I mean them dying. Now that we know that they are capable of killing my sister. It's not possible to happen. I want to be with them because I badly don't want to feel this pain again.

"Mom," I called as I looked at her in the eye.

"I will kill them," I said coldly to her while holding her hands, reassuring her that I will do that.

"There's no point in avenging Ace." She said and sadly smiled at me.

"This is our life so you have to be used to it." She added and that surprised me. What is her point? Is she saying that I should forget about what happened to Ava?

"I'm tired now. You have to get ready. Sean and Beatrice will accompany you in Italy." She said and was about to go upstairs. I frowned and wondered why they'll join me but then again, I remember that our schools' students are involved in the mafia world.

"What are they in the Mafia world?" I suddenly asked because I don't know. I didn't even know that Sean is actually in the mafia? I just know that he's in the entertainment industry.

"Sean's Family is ranking 3rd known for having numbers of equipment in killing like guns and machines. Beatrice's Family is ranking 5th they are known for dealing and supplying products. And when I say products, you know what I mean. Sean and Beatrice will now be the heir and heiress of their family. I also heard that they will be engaged, you could have been too." She said but stopped halfway when. I know she recalled what happened again.

"You will also be soon managing the family. They are our allies so feel at ease." Mom just stated and proceeded to walk upstairs. I sighed as I sat down on the sofa and saw my sister's picture, smiling. She looks happy here. I don't know what to do anymore. Will I avenge her death or not? The question is, can I do it?
