ACE KIEN DE LAVE

I've been living here for two months now. Nothing change right from the start. We mind our own business. She's not always home and I'm always in my room. We don't kiss and we don't do other things with each other. We are engaged because of money or maybe because of power. I will not involve myself in getting attached to her.

I lean towards the window as I stared at the car parking in front of the house. She's home. I just decided to sleep again. She'll surely knock at the door any minute now. I looked at the clock on my wall.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Yes?" I asked with a bored tone.

"Let's go to the park today. I haven't had the chance to..." But I cut her off.

"I'm not in the mood," I stated but I suddenly heard footsteps coming from the back of the door. She's with someone.

"Then go and visit your parents. Introduce her to them." He stated. So, she called that old man to get me out of this room?

I just decided to get a jacket. But when I was about to wear it, I noticed the gun that this old man gave me. I grabbed it and put it at my waist. Then I finally opened the door and saw him smiling happily. But I looked at her and she's not looking at me in the eyes. She surely called him.

"Then let's go," I stated coldly but I stopped when I noticed that he's following us downstairs, is he coming with us?

"Don't come," I said then continued to walk.

I stopped the car when we were finally in front of the cemetery where Sean told me. I didn't go to my real parents. I'm here for those people who raised us. I had such a peaceful life when I was with them, that's what they said and I believe them.

I got out of the car and searched for their graves. When I finally saw it, I smiled sadly when I realized that they are not living in this world anymore. They are dead. I looked behind me and saw Sophia still walking. That's her name. Sophia Cassandra Smith. When she was finally beside me, she stopped and eagerly looked at the tombstone.

"Oww." She said. She seems to be disappointed.

"Are they your parents?" She asked.

"The one who raised me," I stated and sat down towards the grass. She did too.

In the next few hours, we didn't talk to each other. I just stared at the gravestones and tried to remember those days when I was with them. But this mind still can't remember a thing. I cried helplessly though I didn't let her notice me. Then I stood up and proceed to the car. It felt like she followed me so I immediately wiped off my tears.

When I was about to open the car door. A car parked not far from us. Just then, I realized that my phone kept on vibrating inside my pants. I froze when Sean had been calling me 34 times now. There's only one message from him though.

When I opened it.

My phone fell as the message tried to sink into my mind.

"She woke up," I whispered. What will I do? I strangely walked towards them. But before I got the chance to get near them Sophia stopped me.

"Where are you going?" She asked unknowingly.

"Get your hands off me," I said coldly, so she immediately let go. I want to come near them. But...

"Run." I suddenly said to Sophia but before she runs, she looked at me first. She has no idea what I'm talking about.

"I said run," I shouted at her and pulled the gun from my waist. Her eyes widened when she saw the gun from my hand so she ran fast towards the car.

I've waited for them to part. When Aviana was finally left all alone near the graves of her parents. I quietly walked towards her. I'll scare Aviana. So please, forget me after this.

When I was near her, I was about to raise my gun. However, I was surprised when she first looked at me and didn't dare to blink. There, she started to cry. Don't cry. Did she recognize me? She tried to push the wheelchair to get near me but in the end, she can't push the wheels so she stood up. But she fell towards the ground. I wanted to come near her and help her but I have to scare her. However, I was stunned when she started to crawl. Don't do that. She's still crying. Don't cry. Please!

"Ace." She called helplessly. Damn it! I raised my gun and pointed it at her.

"A-Ace?" She called in disbelief. I have to do this.

"Aviana!" Sean shouted and immediately pulled her.

"Can you stand?" I heard Sean asked her. Run now. Take her away before I pull the trigger.

"It's Ace." She said looking at him pointing me and there I gave up. She said my name. Aviana. I can't do this.

"Why are you making that face?" She asked him. But Sean didn't answer and instead carried her towards the car. Go on. Run. Get away from me. Hence, while I was focused looking at them I didn't notice the next thing that happened.

*Bang*

Someone's shooting them.

"Ahh," Sean shouted in pain. I noticed that he was shot at his shoulder. Aviana looked at me. She's angry. I didn't do it. Then, they proceed towards their car and immediately left. I hurriedly look behind me and saw her holding a gun. I was surprised but I'm more furious so I ran as fast as I could towards her.

"What did you do?" I asked her and looked at them again but the car is far away now. I looked at her once more. I never even thought that she could hold a gun and kill without any regret. Who the hell is she?

"I'm just fulfilling my mission. So, you better do too." She stated coldly.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"My name is Sophia." She stated and walked towards me.

"Your family's well-trained assassin. Hiding in the form of a well-known person." She simply stated while she stopped walking and bowed at me.

"Please take good care of me, my future husband." She added while grinning at me. Just as I thought. That old man will never let me marry an ordinary girl. Right from the start, I knew that this girl is hiding something. Do I have a chance to get out of this hell? If there is, please, God, tell me what should I do?
