Blossoming Flowers

"Jiang Fengmian," Han Qingshan called out as he exited the bathroom, looking at the flustered Jiang Yingyue, and smiling slightly when he saw the awkward expression on her face.

Jiang Yingyue was indeed surprised. She had been looking for a job so that she could pay back the money she had withdrawn from her credit card, but she had not been able to find something that she could do with her wound.

Hearing his offer, Jiang Yingyue instantly became a lot more serious, and her embarrassment was quickly forgotten.

"What does the job require from me?" she asked tentatively. She was still a university student, and she could not afford to quit her studies to be his assistant, but if it was a part-time job, then she would be more than pleased to accept the job.

"All you have to do is join me after university ends and assist me in my tasks throughout the evenings."

Jiang Yingyue was slightly hesitating, she had to have some free time left for studying in order to keep up her scholarship, but she knew that Han Qingshan was helping her a lot, and the offer of working as his assistant was also the best offer she had been given.

"Okay," she decided after a bit of contemplating. She could not deny that she actually wanted to be closer with him for longer, but mainly she wanted to thank him for his help all these times.

Han Qingshan suddenly had a smile on his face and went to his briefcase from which he took out a paper and a pen.

It was a contract written in the name of Han Qingshan and Jiang Fengmian. It was an employment contract, and he gave it to Jiang Yingyue, allowing for her to read through it before signing it.

Accepting the contract, Jiang Yingyue read through every clause with rapt attention, and it was not before she found that everything was in her favor, even the salary was incredibly high, that she accepted the pen and signed her name.

Han Qingshan quickly signed his name and gave a copy to Jiang Yingyue before carefully keeping the contract away.

After this, Jiang Yingyue looked at Han Qingshan and could not help but smile slightly as she saw how his lips had been raised into a satisfied grin.

Shaking her head smilingly, she already forgot about the episode earlier where he had looked at her long slender legs, and she was sure that he was still under the impression that she was a man.

Jiang Yingyue mixed up a fast breakfast that they shared before she once more found the familiar-looking bodyguards outside the door and headed to the university.

The day went by fast, and as usual, Jiang Yingyue kept focusing on her studies, while everyone else was busy gossiping about her.

He Yuyan had been taken out of the hospital and sent to recuperate at a facility for the rich, and no one could get more rumors about her. But some of the more nosy students with too much time on their hands had gone to the hospital to see the two bodyguards and the professor.

They were shocked and took pictures of their beaten up appearances which they then spread over the entire university forum.

Looking at the faces of these three, they could all guess how He Yuyan looked, and while some of the guys were very upset as their dream woman had been beaten, most were gloating and jeering at her with alternative accounts that did not display their real names.

Jiang Yingyue was unaffected. All that was on her mind was the lectures from that day alongside her thoughts of what Han Qingshan perhaps could be asking from her in her new job.

She was fully focused on her own thoughts and did not notice that someone was standing in front of her as she walked straight into the back of someone tall. Her nose was hit hard against the back, and she almost fell to the ground as she staggered backward.

"Oh, are you harmed?" a familiar voice sounded in her ears, and Jiang Yingyue looked up as she rubbed her nose, and tears were brimming in her eyes from the collision.

In front of her was Han Qingshan. His eyes turned predatory when he saw the innocent and wronged expression of Jiang Yingyue with tears in her eyes and rubbing her nose slightly.

It took everything in his power to not reach out and wrap his arms around the smaller girl, taking her into his embrace and kissing her tears away.

Tightening his fists, he kept his smile on his lips and pretended to be completely unaffected, but the clenched hands were betraying his emotions.

"What are you doing, you klutz?" Han Qingshan asked endearingly. "You have to look where you walk."

"Sorry," Jiang Yingyue muttered, feeling slightly stupid. How could she not even watch where she was going?

Han Qingshan found her so adorable as she was looking down on the ground, her demeanor apologetic, and slightly confused. It was simply too cute for him to not reach out his arm and rustle her hair.

Jiang Yingyue looked up surprised when she felt the ruffling of her hair, her big eyes opened wide, filled with surprise.

The smile on Han Qingshan's lips grew even wider, and he could not help but linger slightly on the head of Jiang Yingyue before he slowly withdrew his hand unwillingly.
