196. Extra Chapter 6 Shooting

Translator: Lena

Bo Yu was a model. Besides, he’s perfectly proportioned and is adept at posing, so photographers can quickly finish their work. Then they start to take Shan Yangxun’s photos.

Bo Yu considers that it might take a long time for Shan Yangxun is a newbie, so he asks his assistant to buy him a cup of coffee. He plans to wait while browsing through interesting websites. However, Bo Yu didn’t expect that his new partner would finish his work so soon. That surprises Bo Yu.

Shan Yangxun speaks, “I spent a year on the runway when I was a sophomore.”

Hearing that, Bo Yu realizes that the young man is a sophisticated model. Shan Yangxun is in a good shape and gets used to cameras. Bo Yu exclaims, “I thought you just started to work now.”

Shan Yangxun grins but says nothing.

Photographers need to take photos of the two. Bo Yu changes his clothes into a white suit. He’s fair and dashing. His crescent-shaped eyes twinkle. When he smiles under the spotlight, he looks like a prince.

Shan Yangxun has perfect jawline and his tanned torso is masculine. He is like a shy and cheerful boy who hasn’t graduated from school when he smiles. Wearing a black suit, he has long lags. Mr. Handsome looks cool and a little green.

Since the main characters are new graduates, Shan Yangxun is suitable for the role. Bo Yu looks young and gorgeous, so he doesn’t look too much elder than Shan Yangxun when the two stand together.

The cameraman asks, “Mr. Bo, please stand closer to Shan Yangxun. You look too unfamiliar with each other. Right! That’s it. Stay still.”

Bo Yu is tall, but he is shorter than Shan Yangxun.

Bo Yu leans against Shan Yangxun’s chest, looking up at the young man with his sparkling eyes. He raises his chin and grins, while Shan Yangxun slightly pinches Bo Yu’s chin. In the camera, the two are close. Their affectionate eyes show they’re a couple loving each other for a long time.

At least, Bo Yu and Shan Yangxun romantically gaze at each other with deep love.

The photographer hits the shutter button. He then says, “Change a posture, please. Shan Yangxun, turn your back toward Mr. Bo. Let’s right. Thank you, Mr. Bo.”

The cameraman shows more respect to Bo Yu because of he has higher social status than Shan Yangxun. The young man notices that, but doesn’t feel anything wrong. Shan Yangxun is a rookie, while Bo Yu is the most well-known actor in the crew. He will fawn upon Bo Yu deliberately, let alone others will do so.

Bo Yu stands behind Shan Yangxun as the photographer orders. He jumps onto the young man’s back and faces the camera, pretending to whisper in Shan Yangxun’s ear.

The rookie’s ears turn red because of shyness. However, he holds Bo Yu tightly so that Bo Yu won’t fall onto the ground.

The following shooting is easier because they had physical contacts. In addition, they don’t have to get closer and flirt with each other later.

Zeng Xun appears when the photo taking part is about to end. Checking those photos, he whispers in the photographer’s ear after considering. The director then comes to Bo Yu, asking, “Bo Yu, we need photos of fake Hollywood kisses. Just some fake kisses for advertisement.”

Zeng Xun explains, so Bo Yu has no choice but to consent. After all, he doesn’t have to kiss Shan Yangxun according to the director’s words. Therefore, Bo Yu nods but says nothing.

A trace of delight flashes through Zeng Xun’s face. He then summons Shan Yangxun. Facing the young man, the director is less cautious. He explains casually, “You should pretend to kiss Bo Yu. Keep working, buddy.”

As a rookie, Shan Yangxun has no right to refuse. Besides, some fake kisses won’t matter, so he replies, “All right.”

Zeng Xun then turns to the photographer.

Bo Yu is a professional actor, while Shan Yangxun is an expert model. The two are ready before cameras.

In order to have the photo shots, Bo Yu takes off his coat. Wearing a white shirt, the dashing man unbuttons his buttons to bare his collarbone, which makes him more charming in the camera.

However, Shan Yangxun dares not to stare at Bo Yu. There is a flush in her cheeks. The two tilt their heads to get closer and pretend to kiss each other.

Bo Yu’s lips are 2 centimeters away from Shan Yangxun’s. The two can clearly feel each other’s warm breath caressing their faces.

That’s weird.

Bo Yu hasn’t played in a romantic play for a long time, so it has been years ago since he stayed so close to others because of shooting. He and Song Shilin have gotten used to each other. Therefore, the couple don’t feel strange when they get closer. However, Bo Yu is not comfortable with that when he goes really close to Shan Yangxun’s face.

After the cameraman takes a few photos, Bo Yu and Shan Yangxun have done their work. They then walk over to check those pictures.

Bo Yu’s assistant hastily offers him a box of various fruits.

He has fruits every day, but he hasn’t told the new assistant when he joins the shooting crew. The actor didn’t ask her to prepare that, so he didn’t expect that the assistant would do so carefully. He stares at the woman astonishedly, “How do you remember to prepare fruits?”

Bo Yu opens the box and picks up a piece of cantaloupe. It’s sweet and juicy. He likes sweet and soar food because of Little Candy. Therefore, he doesn’t think the cantaloupe is cloying. The man quickly swallows two pieces.

His assistant flames because of Bo Yu’s compliment, “You sent me a message last night and told me to prepare some fruits today.”

Dumbfounded, Bo Yu remembers that he slept before 10 p.m. last night. He was exhausted after having fun with Little Candy for a whole day and supervising Little Watermelon when the kid was doing his assignment. Besides, the man didn’t remember he sent any message to his assistant and asked her to prepare fruits.

After pondering, Bo Yu speculates that it was Song Shilin.

The assistant gazes at Bo Yu in a daze. She thinks Bo Yu is outraged, “Mr. Bo, don’t you like these fruits? I can rush to buy other fruits now.”

Bo Yu beams, “You don’t have to. I like them.” After saying that, he shares his fruits with others.

The photographer bites a piece of fruit while selecting photos with Zeng Xun. They are giggly and joking.

Bo Yu is generous. He heads to Shan Yangxun who is sitting in a corner and using his phone, “What are you doing here? There’re some fruits. Go and have some. You’ve been working for a whole morning.”

The young man turns off the screen hurry-scurry. A chat app quickly disappears as the screen becomes dark. Shan Yangxun suddenly realizes that his clumsy denial results in self-exposure. A trace of regret flashes on his face, “I, I was chatting with my mom. She’s your fan, so I told her.”

Bo Yu is not a man who likes to snoop on others. He planned to leave, but Shan Yangxun’s veracity stops him. Words fail Bo Yu out of the blue. He then replies, “Please express my thanks to her.”

Shan Yangxun is more embarrassed. He turns on his screen. The young man doesn’t set a password, so the chat app emerges immediately after he presses the button. Shan Yangxun speaks cautiously, “Mr. Bo, I was really chatting with my mom. She likes you. I told her I’m acting with you. She didn’t believe me.”

Bo Yu feels helpless because of the young man’s behavior, “I believe you. Best wishes and thanks to your mom. I’m glad she likes to watch my plays.”

Shan Yangxun scratches his head sheepishly, “Can, Can I ask for your autograph? I want to give it to my mom as a present.”

‘Well.’

Bo Yu first sees such an honest man. He responds helplessly, “I don’t have a pan and a paper here. Can I give it to you later? I will ask my assistant to buy some when we have lunch, okay?”

Shan Yangxun speaks hastily, “I brought your postcard with me when I came here. Could you please sign on it?”

Bo Yu consents.

After that, they hear Zeng Xun say, “You’ll start your first scene this afternoon. Bo Yu, take time to run through your lines with Shan Yangxun.”

Therefore, Bo Yu quickly finishes his lunch, and comes to Shan Yangxun with the script in hand. The young man is outstanding for his savvy. Besides, he has been studied in a professional school for two or three years. Shan Yangxun can understand and memorize his lines quickly, and perform well. Hence, Bo Yu is free from worry.

Standing in the rain, the two start their first scene at 2:10 p.m.

Artificial rain is pouring down outside. Bo Yu, wearing a cheap suit and a worn but polished leather shoes, stands under a roof. He checks the time on his watch anxiously.

‘It gets dark, but the rain doesn’t stop. I don’t have an umbrella. Jesus! How can I go home?’ Considers him.

Footsteps rise in the pouring rain. A young man rushes over with an umbrella in hand. He was drenched to the skin because of the strong wind and the cloudburst. The man covers Bo Yu with his umbrella.

“Let’s go.”

Bo Yu is dumbfounded.

His colleague who stands next to him speaks with admiration, “Your roommate is so sweet. He picks you up in the rain.”

The young man seems awkward and nervous. That’s not the expression a roommate will show when he hears compliments.

“Don’t talk nonsense. It’s just on his way.” Bo Yu grins, but a trace of bitterness flashes through his eyes.

The young man is mute.

When can they hold hands and announce they’re a couple in front of others?

It might be a century later.
