#20 - Ma Yang's Discovery

In the past, when horses were the primary mode of transportation, speeds were slow, and the pace of life was relatively leisurely. Consequently, the amount of information a person could access in a lifetime was quite limited.

However, nowadays, information spreads extremely quickly, and a person can easily browse a vast amount of information in just an afternoon.

Ma Yang was one such person. He held a relaxed position at his company, and during his free time, his favorite thing to do was browse videos, seizing every opportunity to slack off and enjoy the leisurely moments in life.

One day at noon, Ma Yang was browsing videos as usual when he was suddenly drawn into a live stream.

He took a closer look and discovered it was a live program about exploring roadside food stalls.

Roadside stalls? Ma Yang felt a pang of bitterness in his heart, thinking to himself: Has big data already detected my impoverished nature?

Just as Ma Yang was about to swipe past the page, his thumb nearly touching the screen,

but in that instant, the smooth and graceful movements of the young man in the video stopped his finger.

"Skill approaching the Dao!" This was Ma Yang's first thought.

After Ma Yang couldn't help but click into the live stream, he felt as if his entire being was controlled by an invisible force, and he didn't even notice when his colleagues called him to go downstairs for lunch.

At this moment, Ma Yang's eyes were glued to the screen, as if completely isolated from the outside world.

Ma Yang's colleague saw him staring so intently at his phone and couldn't help but feel a strong sense of curiosity.

Driven by this curiosity, he leaned over to see what exactly had captured Ma Yang's attention.

It was alright if he hadn't looked, but once he did, both of their heads seemed to be frozen in place, as if under a spell, completely motionless!

Time seemed to freeze at that moment, and the whole world became incredibly quiet.

A full minute passed before the video finally stopped playing.

It was when the host, named Da Wei Feifei, began to introduce the amazing fried noodles in her hand that they both woke up as if from a dream.

"Wow, this is amazing! This guy can make a simple plate of fried noodles so artistic; he must have put in a lot of effort and hard work!"

Ma Yang leaned back in his seat, exclaiming in admiration.

His colleague nodded in agreement, saying, "Right? It's incredible! So incredible!"

Before the words had faded, they looked at each other, and as if with a telepathic understanding, they said:

"Let's go, how about we go downstairs to the snack area and try some fried noodles? Although the taste might not be as good as this master's, it's still fried noodles!"

And so, after a brief discussion, the two excitedly headed straight to the snack area downstairs, ready to satisfy their cravings with some action.

Coincidentally, similar scenes were playing out in thousands of different places.

A small live broadcast, like a butterfly effect, triggered countless people to think about their lunch choices.

After witnessing this wonderful fried noodle performance, many viewers couldn't help but wonder if they should also try eating fried noodles;

or simply make a plate of their own fried noodles to taste.

After all, the eyes had already told the brain that it had learned how to make this delicious dish, and whether the hands could successfully replicate the same result seemed less important.

This urge to try it, in any case, needed to be satisfied!

And some interested people had already recorded the entire live broadcast and began carefully editing and producing it, and then uploaded it to their personal video accounts.

But remember not to try to handle work-related matters, after all, this is your own time, and you should cherish and enjoy it wholeheartedly.

Ma Yang was waiting for the subway, casually put on his headphones, and habitually took out his phone and opened a video application, the whole set of movements as smooth and natural as flowing water, done in one go.

The headphones effectively shielded him from the interference of the outside noise, allowing him to fully immerse himself in his own little world.

Ma Yang glanced up at the train arrival information and thought to himself: "There are still two minutes until the next train arrives."

Just as he was about to lower his head to check his phone again, a sound like a horse neighing suddenly came from his ear, the sound like a lightning bolt piercing the sky, straight into his mind, startling him.

Ma Yang anxiously lowered his head and turned his gaze to the phone screen.

The screen showed a long corridor, with many men and women, old and young, on both sides, all silent, staring in the same direction.

Ma Yang followed the gaze of the crowd and finally landed on a man and a woman at the intersection of their lines of sight. The captivating music was coming from them.

The melodious and unique sound of the erhu gave the entire piece endless vitality.

Ma Yang felt as if he was riding a fierce horse, galloping across the vast prairie.

That kind of exciting feeling made his heart surge, even a little blood boil.

Although he had never personally set foot on the prairie in all his years, this did not prevent him from letting his thoughts fly and imagining freely.

Ma Yang looked at the live broadcast and felt that the host seemed to be standing far away from the man and woman. The video image, after being zoomed in, was slightly blurred, but the overall effect was not greatly affected.

At this moment, Ma Yang's ears were completely immersed in this exciting melody, but his eyes were always fixed on the man and woman in front of him, and a sense of déjà vu welled up in his heart.

As the lingering sound of the music faded, Ma Yang suddenly realized that he was waiting for the train. He looked up and saw that two minutes had passed without him realizing it, and the train had already arrived.

However, watching the subway doors slowly closing, Ma Yang knew that he had missed this train, and thought: Well, I'll just wait for the next one.

After the excitement, Ma Yang had a good attitude. If it had been before, he might have been annoyed at missing the subway.

But after experiencing the free flow of thought, he didn't feel annoyed at all, but rather felt it was a beautiful miss.

Looking down at his phone again, Ma Yang looked at the man in the screen talking to the old man, the restrained temperament with some natural ease, a flash of light suddenly flashed in Ma Yang's mind - isn't this "Noodle Bro"!
