Brush Up Your Proficiency
#50 - childhood friend
Wang Hao felt that he needed to make some adjustments to his plan to increase his erhu skill proficiency.
After eating a simple and refreshing breakfast, he originally planned to go to the back mountain to carefully observe the terrain and see if his position yesterday was just a wind gap, which led to last night's ridiculous farce.
Just as Wang Hao was about to go out, a shout suddenly came from outside the door: "Haozi, are you home?"
The doors in the countryside are different from those in the city; they are usually open during the day, making it easier for neighbors to visit and chat.
Hearing this question, a figure appeared at the door. Wang Hao took a closer look and realized it was Li Qiang, a childhood playmate from the same village.
Seeing Li Qiang, a sincere joy immediately appeared on Wang Hao's face, and he said excitedly: "Qiangzi, you're back too?" This joy came from the heart and was completely different from the professional polite smile he showed in the outside world.
Li Qiang smiled and nodded, walking into the courtyard. The two smiled at each other, as if time had not left any traces between them.
They had spent countless happy and carefree days together, and now that they were reunited, their hearts were filled with warmth and affection.
People's thoughts of their childhood friends often stem from those innocent and carefree childhood days.
Wang Hao and Li Qiang were naturally the same; however, since they each embarked on the road of working away from home, they had very few opportunities to meet.
The last time they met was the time before last.
"Of course, it's harvest time; how can I not come back!" Li Qiang's voice was slightly rough, and he said with a smile.
Li Qiang looked like the tall and mighty type, with a height of nearly 1.8 meters that could not be ignored, and this physique seemed to have been foreshadowed since childhood.
The two then began to talk about their recent situations. After growing up, they were just ordinary migrant workers, and life was not easy.
Wang Hao worked hard with his diligent hands in Xingyun Province, while Li Qiang struggled hard in Chengzhou. Everyone was experiencing their own share of hardship and difficulty.
However, if there was one thing that Li Qiang was better than Wang Hao, it was that he had married a beautiful wife.
I still remember when several close partners in the village went to attend Li Qiang's wedding, seeing the sweet-looking and petite bride He Xiaoqing, and then looking at the rough Li Qiang, it was unbelievable that two people who were so mismatched could come together.
This really made them feel incredible, and even began to doubt life, which was really beyond everyone's expectations.
"How many days do you plan to stay at home this time? Let's have a meal together when you have time!" Wang Hao looked at Li Qiang, who looked slightly tired compared to his memory, and couldn't help but feel a lot of emotion in his heart.
If it weren't for the plug-in-like opportunity he had obtained, perhaps he would be as tired of life as this good friend who had grown up with him since childhood, and he wouldn't know what his goal was.
"I'm not sure yet, isn't it just after the wheat harvest?" Li Qiang's family has a lot of land, and this harvest is quite good. Li Qiang is also full of a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, but at the same time he feels a little lost.
He shrugged and said casually: "Stay at home for a few more days to accompany my wife, and then find a construction site to continue working."
In Li Qiang's eyes, this seemed to be his only way out, with no other choice. He had already recognized reality and understood the hardships and helplessness of life.
After hearing this, Wang Hao shook his head helplessly and said with concern: "Although you earn more on the construction site, it hurts your body! Long-term fatigue is not good for your health, you should pay more attention."
Li Qiang smiled slightly and replied with a pretense of open-mindedness: "Hey, I'm already used to it, it's nothing!"
However, only he himself knew that the feeling of tying steel bars on the construction site under the scorching sun every day was not pleasant.
That kind of fatigue and pain can only be deeply understood by those who have experienced it firsthand.
Hearing the pretense of open-mindedness in his childhood friend's mouth, Wang Hao couldn't help but feel a burst of discomfort in his heart. How could they have thought when they were young that they would be like this when they grew up? It really lived up to the popular saying: It was really stupid when I was a child, and I even thought about growing up!
Looking at Li Qiang's somewhat颓废 appearance, Wang Hao decided to help Li Qiang. He hesitated for a moment, and then said sincerely:
"How about this, I opened a restaurant with someone in Xingyun, the scale is not too big, and it is currently in the preparation stage. If you trust me, come and work with me, I guarantee it will be much more comfortable than the work you are doing now!"
Thinking of the plug-in he possessed, Wang Hao was still very confident in the success of the restaurant.
He felt that letting Li Qiang come to help, although it couldn't be said that he could make his childhood friend rich and noble, at least he wouldn't drag him into the pit. As a partner, he should be able to mention a word about the salary and benefits, and he can't treat his childhood friend badly.
"Wow, Haozi, you are going to be the boss! You are really promising!" When Li Qiang heard Wang Hao say that he was going to open a restaurant, a sincere joy surged in his heart.
After expressing his congratulations to Wang Hao in his own unique way, he then said: "What can I do when I go to your place? I only know some miscellaneous work on the construction site." There was a hint of frustration in Li Qiang's tone.
Wang Hao knew Li Qiang's personality well. If he didn't show enough determination, Li Qiang might decline the invitation for fear of causing trouble for himself. So, he deliberately put on a straight face, stared at Li Qiang forcefully, and said, "Stop talking nonsense, just tell me whether you are going or not!"
Li Qiang laughed when he saw this and replied: "Since you have invited me so sincerely, wouldn't it be disrespectful to you if I declined again." These words meant that Li Qiang had agreed to Wang Hao's request.
Hearing Li Qiang's reply, a big stone in Wang Hao's heart finally fell to the ground, but at the same time, he also felt a heavy responsibility on his shoulders. Whether he can successfully run this restaurant next depends entirely on his efforts and abilities.
Li Qiang was a little puzzled as to why Wang Hao suddenly wanted to open a restaurant. Wang Hao also told him everything except the plug-in, without reservation.
Although Wang Hao said it very objectively, Li Qiang, whose mind was off track, was not so objective. Listening to Li Qiang on the side, he kept啧啧称奇 while listening, thinking: Haozi has found a sugar momma!
