49. The Demon Lord II

Translator: Alanese Fantasy

Early in the morning the next day, Qing Yun visited the Chaos Peak in a hurry and knocked upon the door of Qing Yangzi’s room.

“Come on in.” Qing Yangzi was cultivating on the bed. He stood up after hearing the knock.

“Master.” Hearing the noise inside, Qing Yun pushed the door open and walked in.

Qing Yangzi cast a cleansing spell on himself, “What’s the matter?”

Qing Yun was trained as the next Sect Leader, so he was responsible for all trifles in the Sect. When he encountered something hard for him to make decisions, Qing Yun would turn to Qing Yangzi on the Chaos Peak.

The things Qing Yun was going to report, therefore, was not easy to deal with.

“Qing Yun,” Qing Yangzi patted Qing Yun on his shoulder. “Within this year, the times you have come to my Chaos Peak is more than the total number of that in the previous years. What? Is it still that thing this time?”

“Yes, Master.” Qing Yun answered respectfully. “The disciples at the foot of the peak has sent messages to me, saying the Heiwu Sect was slaughtered. Not even a single person survived.”

“The Heiwu Sect?” Qing Yangzi pondered. “Another small and anonymous sect.”

“Since the beginning of the year, around ten such sects were exterminated. The disciples of these sects were brutally dismembered. It seems all of this was done by the same person according to the killing techniques.” Thinking of the findings he had seen, Qing Yun couldn’t help but feel astonished.

Tens of thousands of people from more than ten sects died in the same way!

Qing Yangzi paced up and down, “What on earth does this demonic cultivator want to do?”

“By the way,” Qing Yangzi turned to look at Qing Yun, “do you find any trace of demonic cultivators?”

‘It’s impossible that people who used such obvious killing techniques can hide all the traces.’

“Master, every time our disciples got to the spot, that demonic cultivator had already left without even a bit trace. And no useful clues were found on the spot.” Qing Yun also felt it strange for the demonic cultivator only appeared in the ten small sects.

“Tell the disciples downhill to keep an eye on it, Qing Yun.”

“Yes, Master.” Then Qing Yun left the peak.

Qing Yangzi came to the Bamboo Peak, wanting to check on Zhuo Hua.

After passing through the thick bamboo forest, he saw a man in white standing outside of the bamboo cottage with his back to Qing Yangzi. The sleeves of the man were swinging with the wind.

“Senior Brother?”

The man turned to him when hearing his call.

“Senior Brother, you’re up.” Qing Yangzi trotted to Zhuo Hua.

“Hmm. Where is Nan Chen and Kaka?” Zhuo Hua walked around just now and didn’t find them.

“Nan Chen got a mission, so he went downhill to accomplish it. As for Kaka, it may be having fun in the back of the peak.”

“Ka ka…” Before Qing Yangzi could finish his words, Kaka had rushed out from nowhere and jumped into Zhuo Hua’s arms all of a sudden.

“Master, finally you wake up. You have no idea how much I worried about you. I couldn’t eat or fall ssleep! Can you feel it? I’m now thinner than before.” Kaka wriggled in Zhuo Hua’s arms.

Zhuo Hua held Kaka and smiled, feeling its weight-it was obviously heavier than before.

Kaka was so complacent that it even burped.

It immediately covered the mouth, ‘Oops.’

“Your lunch today is a Dotted-Tail Rabbit?” Zhuo Hua said while gently pinching Kaka’s little chubby legs.

Kaka looked at Zhuo Hua in surprise as if it wondered how Zhuo Hua could know its lunch.

Qing Yangzi took something off from Kaka’s head; it turned out to be a piece of fur of a Dotted-Tail Rabbit.

“Ha ha ha, you poor little thing, the low-level spiritual beasts in the back of the peak will quickly be eaten up by you.”

Kaka’s face turned red. It jumped out of Zhuo Hua’s arms and fled away without delay.
