69. To Sleep Together

Translator: Alanese Fantasy

“Daddy didn’t let me go with you. You are bad.” Li pouted, turned his head to the other side while holding Zhuo Hua tightly.

Nan Chen stared at Li’s small hands holding Zhuo Hua, finding the kiddo an eyesore at that moment.

“Hum…” Nan Chen paused before closing his eyes to suppress the agitating Forget All in his Sense Ocean.

All this took place in a flash so Zhuo Hua and Li didn’t notice anything strange. Only Kaka looked around.

Kaka sensed some strange breath and it only existed for a very short period. ‘Was it an error?’

“Li,” Zhuo Hua caressed the kid’s head, “it’s so late. You should go back to bed.”

“I want you to accompany me, daddy.” Li embraced Zhuo Hua and didn’t want him to go.

Zhuo Hua wanted to come back only because the serpent venom in his body was about to break out again. Qing Yangzi, however, didn’t know this so Zhuo Hua used his cultivation as an excuse.

Zhuo Hua hesitated. He knew the serpent venom wouldn’t break out until tomorrow, so he finally made a compromise to Li.

“Okay,” He then turned to Nan Chen and said, “We have been in a hurry to get back all day long. You can leave and have a rest now.”

“Yes, Master.”

Zhuo Hua took Li to the room hand in hand, “Li, wait for me in the room. I have to take a bath first.”

“Bath?” Li’s eyes lit up, “I want to take a bath with you, too.”

“No problem. Let’s go.” Zhuo Hua carried Li and walked towards the back of the peak.

“Daddy, what’s that?” Li was curious, pointing at the place compassed by fog in front of them.

“It’s a hot spring.” Li was in Zhuo Hua’s arms and Kaka followed in their wake.

“Are we going to take a bath there?” Li asked.

“You are right.” They arrived at the spring just when he finished his words.

Zhuo Hua put Li on the ground immediately when he felt a surge of similar feeling. It was even stronger than any moments before. Zhuo Hua was a bit groggy and then fell into the hot spring.

“Daddy!”

“Master!”

Li and Kaka lay on their stomach, looking at the water worriedly.

The spring was not so deep. It just reached his chest when Zhuo Hua stood up in the water.

“Are you okay, daddy?” Li asked him nervously upon seeing Zhuo Hua standing in the spring.

“Nothing.” Zhuo Hua shifted his gaze at Kaka, “Kaka, take Li back first.”

“What’s wrong, Master?” Kaka could perceive his master was not in good health condition.

“It doesn’t matter. Just take good care of Li for a couple of days.”

Zhuo Hua gently caressed Li’s head, “Li, good boy. Can you wait for a few more days? I’ll keep you company to sleep by then.”

Looking at Zhuo Hua’s eyes. Li understood that Zhuo Hua had got something important to deal with, “Okay… come back early, won’t you?”

“I will.”

After Kaka took Li away, Zhuo Hua stumbled and slipped into the spring. He couldn’t make it to the alchemy room.

‘Am I gonna spend three days here like this?’

Zhuo Hua closed his eyes and sank in the water.

No sooner did Nan Chen get into his own room then he felt a surge of strong power in his body, which was about to well up. He clenched his fists.

‘Damn inner demon.’

The sword Forget All kept humming on the table. Nan Chen tried hard to control the demon in mind while closing his eyes.

‘It seems harder and harder to restrain the inner demon. I may lose control one day.’

Nan Chen opened his eyes.

‘I may have to speed up.’

Red gradually sprawled all over his eyes. Some demagogic power was inducing him to slaughter without reason.
