93. Three Years Later

Translator: Alanese Fantasy

Since then, Mrs. Zhang and Ke’er had been reminding Zhuo Hua not to get close to brooks or cold water.

Being given lenthy talk by Mrs. Zhang and Ke’er, Zhuo Hua felt warm in his heart and was listening to them with a smile.

Three years passed.

In the past years, the Cultivation World had changed a lot.

Different sect leaders suddenly died overnight. At first, people thought it was done by someone secretly, and the rest Demon were suspected.

However, the new sect leaders got more support than the previous ones, and the management of those sects was also in order. The new sect leaders didn’t look like demons, so people gradually stopped paying attention to this matter.

Besides, many were afraid of being targeted by the Demon. They themselves might still be in danger, let alone care about others.

In the past three years, Nan Chen had killed all the people who in his mind deserved to die and almost completed his revenge. He ostensibly was the only disciple of the top person in the Cultivation World and the owner of Bamboo Peakl while actually was also the Demon Lord who controlled all demons in secret.

‘There is only one more person. When I kill him, I’ll take all my revenge.’

Nan Chen waved his hand and a shadowy figure appeared in front of him.

“What about the man I asked you to follow?” Nan Chen asked.

The shadow was silent for a while before saying, “He.. he escaped.”

As he spoke, the shadow knelt down and continued, “Lord, please forgive me. I will definitely find him out.”

Nan Chen didn’t respond, and the shadow didn’t dare to move a bit. After a long time, the shadowy figure even thought that Nan Chen might fall asleep.

Nan Chen waved his hand again. The person before him relieved and disappeared immediately.

Nan Chen fiddled with the storage ring on his finger and smiled, “Wen Lou, with such low cultivation, you are good at palying hide-and-seek. Since you want to hide, then I’ll have fun with you for a while.”

In the Hexian Village

Zhuo Hua was sitting by a stream, with a fishing rod next to him. Now it was in warm spring. Hardly could he enjoy a sunny day, so he came out and basked in the sunshine.

Zhuo Hua was lying in a deck chair. The warm sunshine shone on him. Maybe he was too comfortable that he fell asleep.

When he woke up, the sun was about to set and he was covered with an leather blanket.

He then sat up, only to find that Ke’er was squatting beside his chair. She cupped her chin while her eyes were still looking at the buoy on the stream. There were some fish in the bucket beside her, and the fish were still alive.

‘Ke’er seems to have caught the fish when I was asleep.’

Noticing the noise next to her, Ke’er turned her head and found Zhuo Hua awake; she then pursed her lips.

“Brother Zhuo Hua, how many times have I told you to be more mindful of your health? Although it is warm now, your body can’t stand it. If my mother didn’t let me send you clothes, you would have caught cold again.” Zhang Ke’er  was babbling about it.

Knowing that this little girl cared about him, Zhuo Hua caressed her head, “Well, I know it’s not okay. You should go back now, otherwise Mrs. Zhang will worry about you.”

“Well… fine, I’ll go back first. Brother Zhuo Hua, I’ll come to see you tomorrow.” Zhang Ke’er then ran back.

Zhuo Hua went back to his cottage with the wooden bucket.

It had been three years and his wooden cottage was not as monotonous as it had been. He raised a few chicks which just been hatched by Mrs. Zhang’s hens, and planted some vegetables as well as flowers in front of his cottage.

Such quiet days seemed to be nice.

Zhuo Hua put the fish in a ceramic jar, then washed his hands and began to prepare for dinner.
