Ceo Unrivaled

Chapter 110 - What Look?

"I remembered once... during our freshman, you got a big pimple on the middle of your forehead, yet, you did not complain about it! Why are you so affected by these smaller ones now? These pimples are hiding in your jawline," Claire casually asked while laughing with Sofia. Since her friend became very conscious about her appearance, she could not help but also include this attitude in her list of Sofia's changes.

The sound of their feet echoed the entire place as they walked towards the exit area of the place.

"Well, this civilization of pimples must be prevented now that we are getting older. Otherwise, it may leave few scars on my face!" Sofia shrugged. She almost cursed the original owner of the body she was in. The past owner of her body only thought of nothing but gaming! That youngster was really not having any self-care.

"It's not that bad, Sof. At least, your pimples are like tiny dots and they are just in one place," Claire comforted her.

Sofia went silent for a while. In her mind, women, no matter what the age must be very particular with their appearance. In her past life, she only thinks of two things. Her grades and her appearance.

Unlike the original owner of her body, she was the perfect daughter of her parents in her last life.

Now, she was compelled not only to get that appearance and grade that she had on her last life but also her level of success. And if there would be an opportunity for her to surpass it she would aim for the highest.

It may sound ridiculous to others but to Sofia, she needed to surpass what she had once achieved in her last life. Why? It was too simple. Because she had all the knowledge she needed to go beyond her capabilities.

There was no way she would let this new chance to live be wasted. She must see the result in her goals!

"Yeah, they just like this area of my face," Sofia giggled while pointing to the side of her jawline.

"Sof, remember when I told you earlier that it felt like you are possessed by a wealthy ghost. I really think that you are. Like now... it feels like you are obsessed with getting rid of these pimples! Only those rich kids do that. Our kind does not really care about how we look! Unless..." Claire stated and deliberately not finished her sentence.

"Unless what?" Sofia questioned.

"Unless you are like me. Hehe, maybe there is a man that made you felt the need to look at your appearance?" Claire suggested.

"What nonsense!" Sofia pouted her lips and shook her head.

"Okay, so it's not a man. Then, you are really possessed by a rich ghost!" Claire insisted.

"What rich ghost are you talking? You are overthinking, Claire! If I'll be possessed with a wealthy ghost, I will definitely find the riches of this ghost and use it!" Sofia joked.

"I hope I am just overthinking, Sof. But all your actions recently were far from how you act before!" Claire defended.

"People can change even in a span of one night! I have changed my goals and aspirations," Sofia gave subtle remarks hoping that Claire would not press further.

"That might be true. Anyway, don't be so secure with that civilization of pimple," Claire finally yielded. Even she was not also convinced of her observations.

"Yes! Soon, I'll have them evicted! Just a few days of regular sleep will definitely make this civilization go extinct." Sofia declared with full of certainty that she will achieve good clear skin once she got plenty of rest.

Out of a sudden, two other young people had entered the building. These two gone past them and overheard what Sofia said. They instantly halted their steps and frowned. After a few breaths, the two young people gave Sofia a weird look.

"OMG! Those people are scared with what just said, Sof!" Claire secretly told the message to Sofia. Then she glanced back at the two young people which continued to give Sofia weird glances.

"It's not a civilization extinction. It's just some pimples we are talking about! No civilizations are harmed in this conversation!," Claire called the two young people to put their minds straight.

"Hehe, it's fine. I was just joking with my friend!" Sofia told the strangers when they remained to stare at them.

After a while, the two continued to walk to the familiar lobby of their building until they went out.

Inside the building, the two strangers that they casually talked about were almost jumping in excitement.

"Ohh my gosh! Those were the gamers that won the tournament, right?" one teenager expressed animatedly.

"Yes! There is no doubt! Those are the tank and assassin users of the Chronos squad! Wow! They lived in this building?! Nice, nice!" the other teenager grinned cheekily.

These two strangers had also watched the tournament. They just arrived from the gym and could not believe what they had discovered. T

Their reaction had gone late. Just as they want to speak and mingle with Sofia and Claire, their figure had already gone out of the building.

"AHH! I hope there will be another time that we meet them!"

"Well, if they really live in this building, then, we have a great chance to meet them!"

"True. Let's keep this discovery a secret. If other people will know of their place, they might change their address!"

"You are right. Let's keep this between us!"

At that time, Sofia and Claire never really thought about their status in district 7. They just acted like normal students and approached the strangers. They even thought that those two youngsters were staring because they overheard Sofia's statement about annihilation.

What they did not know was that those two youngsters stared at them because they looked very familiar. And when the two youngsters realized their identity, they were also gone on their sight!

It was just in that Clark's car also pulled over few feet away from them,

"Hey!" Clark greeted them as the window opened and then he gleefully waved his hand.

"Right on time!" Sofia stated.

The driver opened the door for them and the two quickly went inside.

"I went to pick Stephen and Joey first. Hehe," Clark said while glancing at the expensive watched attached to his wrist.

"They are asleep?" Claire raised her brow after seeing the two men were indeed sleeping peacefully.

Clark also yawned and nodded his head. "Yeah, the championship had taken all of our energy. I'm surprised that you are not yet exhausted."

"Oh... " Claire could only trail her words upon realizing how extensive the preparation of these men. All of them had equally practiced but her teammates had really put up everything in their match.

On the other hand, Claire was already adept in playing the assassin role. so, among the five members of the Chronos squad, she was not really pressured in the tournament.

To say, her beautiful performance in the game come out naturally.

Sofia had guided them with the strategies and tactics of their gameplay. But she does not really look as tired as Joey and Stephen. Although she had done most of the preparation and practiced with her teammates, she was used to working under pressure. The matter was just a piece of cake to her.

As for the three men, they were just mostly restless because of excitement.

Sofia glanced at the road as the street lights and highlighted the heart-shaped balloons that were tied on the street post.

"Happy Valentines Day, guys!" Sofia curled her lips into a genuine smile. It seemed that this occasion was really overshadowed by the tournament.

Joey and Stephen stirred from their peaceful slumber and heard her greeting. Together, they instantly murmured, "Happy Valentines Day to us!"

"Wow! we fell asleep!?" Joey exclaimed with a little surprise in his tone while glancing at Stephen. His eyes were still half-open.

"Yeah! We did!" Stephen yawned then looked at Sofia with a smiling face. His expression looked more innocent, especially that his eyes were openly staring at Sofia with a different level of intensity.

"When we arrived at the victory party, don't stare with the other guest like that," Sofia softly told Stephen with a stern expression on her face.

The man leaned near to her and then whispered to her ear, "You'll get jealous? Hmmm,"

"What? You are dreaming!" Sofia casually laughed.

"No need to be jealous. I won't look at anyone there," Stephen mumbled with his gentle voice.

"It's not like that. Haha. Definitely not! It is rude if you stare at the other guest with that kind of look, Stephen!" Sofia explained.

"What kind of look?" Stephen peered at her as his eyes started to close again.

"Hmmn... like you want to devour something," Sofia directly said without thinking too much. In her mind, she was just describing what Stephen's look was. She was not really giving this a much thorough thought of whether such look was connected to her.
