Chapter 157 - Sofia Introduced Brent And Grace In A Non-Standard Way

At the same time, Sofia and the rest of her team were happily eating their meals.

"So, do you have plans for the regional tournament, guys?" Brent asked then while slowly chewing his food.

"We are still focusing on other matters. But we will start our preparation for the game soon," Sofia answered.

"Be sure that you will register, okay? I have to claim my loss on our last game!" Brent smirked.

The four members of the Chronos squad looked at him with a surprised expression. How could this young master act so petty?

"You want to claim your loss? Hehe, see you on the battlefield," Sofia casually replied.

"I will definitely see you guys, and crushed all of you.! I will order the Lee Gaming squad to train harder!" Brent spoke with a determined tone.

The man sounded arrogant however, Sofia could tell that he was just joking. Or perhaps, he was giving them a warning so their squad won't slack off.

"Ahh, I am so full now! Thank you so much for the free lunch!" Brent initiated.

As the man rubbed his stomach, Sofia's mind had been wondering where the hell was Grace? The noble lady was nowhere to be found and Brent was about to finish his food!

"Is the young master of the Lee clan on a diet?" Sofia playfully asked just so she could buy time and let the man stay longer. But even so, she was also concerned for it was almost time that her members should go back to school.

"I am not on a diet! But, you know, because of the business and busy schedule, I normally skip my lunch. It had been so long that I went out to eat," Brent admitted with a forced smile on his face.

Sofia cast a sympathetic look on the man. She could also relate to the habit of skipping lunch just to prioritize their responsibilities in the company.

"Even when you are not yet in the company, aren't your eating schedule already messed up?" Sofia emphasized.

"Haha! You got me there! Indeed! Sometimes, we just completely forget the time in our real world when we are immersed in playing games," Brent responded.

Finally, a familiar figure stepped in the entrance door of the Rosen Club. Unlike the group that wore big eyeglasses to conceal their identity, Grace freely walked in without the need to hide her face. Everyone respected her highly... or at least, they showed politeness in front of her.

All of the staff slightly offered a customary bow to the newcomer after they noticed who she was.

"Good afternoon, Miss Grace!" one of the assigned servers hurriedly went to meet the figure. Grace scanned the area and returned a gentle smile to the staff.

Sofia inwardly sighed in relief. She then pretended to look up as if she was not expecting to see the lady at all.

"Oh, this young lady is the mayor's daughter. I met her earlier and she is so friendly," Sofia enthusiastically said. She could award herself for making an improvised yet realistic statement.

"Don't be deceived by that calm demeanor! That's just a facade!" Stephen reacted right away before he realized that he spoke his thoughts loudly.

At the same time, Brent also expressed his opinion, "You have a poor judgment of real people! That lady is so fake! Look at her smile!"

The two men looked at each other before they both shrugged and returned their attention to their meals. Somehow, they shared a similar opinion towards the lady. Did they know her on a personal scale?

Upon hearing these two men reacted badly, Sofia forcefully drank her juice and felt a headache throbbing in her head. There is a lot of animosities to unpack there!

She glanced at Grace and noticed that the lady was still having a conversation with the staff and had not yet moved her feet. But she was certain that the lady already saw their table.

"What do you mean fake? I think this lady is friendly. Don't judge her just because her parents are politicians! There are good politicians and there are also corrupt one. But their offsprings should not be blamed," Sofia argued right away.

"Woaah, you are defending her? What are you? Her tank in real life?!" Brent started with a chuckle. He brought up Sofia's role in the game just to make a point that she sounded defensive for a person who just met Grace.

Stephen could not also help but smile upon hearing Brent's remarks. HE could tell that Sofia was protective of the reputation of the lady. But he did not think too much of it. He assumed that Sofia would also do the same for her friends.

"Tsk! Let me introduce her properly to you so your prejudice will be gone!" Sofia mumbled.

"Oh no! I'm good. I don't need an introduction to this kind of person. I have to stay away from politics or my business reputation would be compromised!" Brent quickly shook his head.

"Too bad, you have no choice!" Sofia said and waved her hand to Grace. Now she could finish this quest of introducing the two.

"What the heck, Sof! Put your hands down. I don't want that lady here!" Brent ordered but his tone was not really commanding. It sounded as if he suddenly felt shy. Sofia did not also listened to his plea.

Grace saw Sofia's hand waving towards her, she waved back and her smile widened. She then sauntered towards the table.

"Hi! Oh my, I did not expect to meet you here again! Join us, there is still plenty of seats available!" Sofia beamed. Her joyous tone almost scared Claire. She had never seen Sofia act like it except inside the game!

"Hello! It's nice to meet you again. Thanks for the invitation, I won't decline it. It's good to have more company when eating," Grace softly stated.

"You are right! Come, these are my friends. Claire, Clark, Joey, Stephen, and Brent!" The introduction was brief and informal.

But Sofia did not need to introduced Grace back to her friends or it would be an insult. It was known that this lady was popular in their district because of her family background. If she formally introduced her to the group, it would only mean that they don't know her at all!

"Hello, a pleasure to meet you, friends! Can I call them friends too?" Grace initiated.

Sofia almost clapped her hand because of their progress. She cast a glance at Brent who forced a smile and looked at Grace. Then, Sofia shifted her vision to Stephen who surprisingly had a murderous aura.

"Yes, they are great friends! Anyway, we still had school to attend... so, I hate to ask this, but, young master Brent, could you please accompany our new friend for lunch?" Sofia said. She did not wait for Brent to respond. "Thank you so much!" she added before giving her group an eye that they were leaving.

Brent looked dumbfounded and felt abandoned. What the heck was happening? Before he could say a word, Sofia and her team already waved their hands and slightly bowed at them. Then the group left leaving him with Grace!

There might be another way to leave the two but Sofia found it easier if she just act straightforward. 'Good luck, Grace!' she gave a last glance of the two figures sitting on their table before stepping out of the Rosen Club.

"You sure are energetic today!" Stephen commented the moment they reached the parking space.

"Maybe, I am?" Sofia feigned ignorance. She realized that her current age was very convenient for her to act clueless at what had just happened. So, she continued to smile as she mentally made a celebration for finishing her hidden quest.

"That lady is not friendly as you think. She is calculative and scheming. Be careful. She could play a game where she is not a player but a coach manipulating the players of her own game," Stephen whispered.

He had a bad impression of Grace but Sofia did not.

Still, Sofia nodded in agreement. She could tell that Grace had also a trick in her sleeves. If was not calculative, she would not be able to determine and approach Sofia at all.

"You don't have to worry about it," Sofia stated. She then opened her phone and check the messages.

"I have spoken without a private press. Someone will handle our endorsements. Sister Jing will focus on our social media updates. As for the fraternity that we have seen last night, they agreed to work for us," Sofia told her members.

"But, they could be dangerous, Sof!" Claire finally spoke.

"Hmmn... Those frat members seemed reliable. And we can always remove them if they failed to do their responsibility," Sofia stated.

"Okay... what are we going to do next, Sof? Uhhmm... you have been doing all the works!" Clark expressed his concern too. He slightly felt guilty for contributing nothing to this business venture that they were about to build.

"Once the acquisition of the property is done, you need to help me redesign the building. So, you guys must make full research on interior designs for a hotel and café..." Sofia trailed and think of other things that they had to do.
