Stone Platform somewhere in the Starry Sky

A man in cyan robes sat in the lotus position with a large book in his hands. This book was too large with numerous pages bound in a thick leather cover. It had no title but instead numerous symbols seemed to move mysteriously on the cover. The man observed the book quietly with a profound gaze completely unaffected by his surroundings. It should be said that the Great Dark was an extremely unforgiving environment for living creatures. Yet this man continued to go through this large book like nothing was amiss. After a long moment, he slowly closed the book shut, and then stood up while tucking it under his right arm.

"Let's begin." he said, whilst taking a few steps forward to be in the exact centre of the platform.

With the large book under his right arm, he raised up his left hand and quickly started making rapid gestures. As if in response, the entire platform started to rumble in sync with the gestures. A golden glow then started to gather in the man's hand, increasingly growing brighter as he made more and more gestures. When the brightness became almost blinding, he rapidly bent on one knee and slapped his palm onto the platform. Immediately, the rumbling stopped and the golden light seemed to have been swallowed by the centre of the platform like water on a poured on a parched land.

Then as if out of nothing, golden symbols started appearing one after the other on the edge of the circular platform until they formed a ring of symbols. It did not end there, as after a loud rumble another set of symbols appeared below the first set to make a second inner ring of symbols. Then, following more rumbles, more rings of symbols appeared until finally, the whole platform was filed with golden symbols, with the centre where the man was standing having only one central symbol. All the symbols glowed with a golden light, illuminating the entire platform and the man in a golden hue. The man broke into a smile, seemingly satisfied with the effect. He knelt down with his other knee and sat back on his legs, before slowly placing the large book on top of the central golden symbol. the mysterious symbols on the cover of the book seemed to sense the golden symbol they had been placed on and moved to align with it. In this manner the symbol on the back cover matched the one on the platform, and it also started to glow in a golden light. The light slowly spread along the patterns on the spine of the book, and to the ones on the front cover. Eventually, the mysterious symbols on the book cover all glowed golden, and had stopped moving about, having gathered into a single design on the front cover.

The man seated in front of the book let out a sigh, which was then quickly replaced with a serious and decisive gaze. He lifted up his hands and started rapidly making hand gestures. His robes shockingly flapped with no wind and his hair blew back, as the speed of his gestures rapidly increased. A golden glow enveloped his robes and body and even his hands became unrecognisable as his gestures reached unimaginable speeds. His gaze sharpened even more and he shouted loudly

"Formation!"

As if in response to his shout, the entire platform rumbled and then shockingly, stated to tilt from one end. Even more strangely, though the platform was in a tilt, the man in cyan robes remained perfectly seated where he was, not dislodged in the slightest. After tilting almost to a vertical position, the platform rumbled to a stop. The whole time the man continued making gestures without pause and a small vortex even seemed to be generated by the fast speed of his hand movements. When the platform stopped, the man slapped both hand on the book in front of him, not disoriented in the least from sitting perpendicularly and shouted

"Chaos"

The golden glow around him rapidly changed colour into a black glow, but if one looked closely they would actually see it was a dark shade of violet that was almost black. the dark glow intensified until it became a blinding dark light, and then it was all absorbed into the cover of the book. The man on the platform vanished with the light! The symbol on the cover rapidly darkened and turned violet, then the effect spread on the spine and back cover of the book. Like an ink stain on paper the violet hue spread into the centre symbol on the platform, then outwards into the other symbols ring by ring. Soon the entire platform and the book were glowing a dark light.
