Out of the restaurant, they went all the way to the viewing field of the restaurant and avoided the prying eyes of the people in the restaurant. Lan Lan suddenly limped and leaned against the window on the street, as if she couldn't support her body.

Mu Haitang held her in one hand and didn't hurry to speak. She knew to give her time to slow down and rebuild her almost collapsed mood.

For a long time, Lan Lan stood up again, walked forward without saying a word, came to a cafe, pushed the door in, went straight to the innermost seat, and then sat down as if he had collapsed.

Looking at Lan Lan's appearance, Mu Haitang went to the front desk to ask for a glass of water for her, then ordered two cups of coffee and two desserts according to their respective tastes, and then sat opposite LAN LAN.

Mu Haitang listened to her quietly. He reached out and held Lan Lan's left hand on the table, wrapped it in his palm, as if it could give her a little strength.

Lan Lan looked at their hands, then looked up at Mu Haitang and asked, "my reaction was ridiculous, didn't he? He must have seen it."

Mu Haitang answered calmly and firmly, "it's not funny."

"I should hate him instead of running away in such a hurry." Lan Lan's tone was very low. "I acted as if I still cared about him."

Mu Haitang hesitated and said bluntly, "you really care about him." she paused and added, "you know in your heart, but you don't want to admit it."

Lan Lan took back her hand, then put her hands around her, and said after a while, "yes, how stupid. I was humiliated and abandoned like this. I still can't forget him. I thought I was so natural and unrestrained, and tried to laugh at your persistence." she looked straight at Mu Haitang.

Mu Haitang smiled bitterly, "birds of a feather flock together. Maybe we are the same fool, so we can sit together and laugh at each other."

Lan Lan shriveled her mouth, as if trying to restrain her emotions, and then asked softly, "Begonia, what should I do?"

Mu Haitang looked at her, "I don't know, because I'm also facing such a dilemma."

Lan Lan tried to joke to dispel the tangled emotions in her heart, "maybe we should hold our heads and cry."

Mu Haitang smiled and shrugged, "I've cried enough."

Lan Lan looked out of the window. Mu Haitang looked at her. They didn't speak for a while, and silence enveloped them.

Suddenly, Lan Lan's mouth pursed and her usual determination and firmness appeared in her eyes. "It's just a small encounter. What's it? I should have thought that we're both alive. There will be such a day, just an encounter. Nothing can change."

Mu Haitang looked at Lan Lan's firm side face and sighed in a low voice, "if only I had your determination."
