Chronicles Of Arth: Prince Of Shadows
Chapter 218 - Alaskan Sapphire (12)
Arth was momentarily lost in the magnificence of the beast.
"Oh my god. It's beautiful."
The beauty of the scales were something that couldn't be replicated on a model. Every slight movement caused a thousand shades of blue to sparkle unanimously, showering everything around it in blue.
It's large purple eyes, the size of a plate, seemed to glare at everything with a sense of nobility and indifference. As if everything around it was insignificant.
Beneath her lay two dark blue eggs and a golden one, signifying that she was a mother.
"How. . . . Beautiful."
Arth had forgotten all about the task and just stared dazedly at the dragon.
"What is happening? It seems as though the champion is frozen in shock!"
Arth started to walk towards the dragon, still in a daze.
"What is he doing! Someone stop him! He might die!"
The dragon noticed his arrival and seemed to be hesitating whether or not she should kill him or not.
When Arth took another step, a blast of blue flames gushed out of her mouth without warning.
And Arth became covered in blue flame.
"This doesn't look good. Someone call the medics, this might be bad- huh?"
Bagman's remarks came to a stop as he realized that Arth was no where in danger. In fact, he seemed to be perfectly fine.
"Oh my, now that I got up close, your scales look even better."
Arth was now on top of the dragon with residue darkness fading away from him like tendrils drying out.
"I can't believe that they actually managed to get one."
The dragon realized that a human was on her head and let out an annoyed snap before throwing her head backwards.
Arth was flung off but it didn't matter as he materialized onto the floor quickly after.
"Just as Noble and Indifferent as said in the books. . . . They really aren't aggressive."
"What will the Champion Do next?"
Arth funnily realized that he was participating in the tournament and got a hold of himself.
"I guess it's time I got serious."
I am invisible. I am a side character. Harry Potter is more famous. I am side character. I am extra. . . .
"Where did the boy go! It's like he disappeared."
For some reason, Arthur felt hurt by those words, even though it was what he was trying to achieve.
Arth confidently walked up towards the dragon expecting to be unnoticed when suddenly, Arth felt a great impact on his c.h.e.s.t.
The dragon had attacked once more, hitting him a squarely on the stomach.
Arth was sent flying off into a tree effectively breaking both him and the tree.
Ouch.
"WHAT JUST HAPPENED! THE TREE NUST BROKE APART- ITS THE CHAMPION! WHAT JUST HAPPENED? INVISIBILITY SPELL?"
Arth winced as he got up from what was left of the tree.
"IS THAT THE CHAMPION NEAR THE TREE? IS HE HURT?"
Oh shut up.
How did his never failing one hundred percent success rate cheat passive ability fail?
Then Arth noticed the gills on the dragons face and realized something.
The dragon might have echolocation, as it hunts in water.
Wizards seriously needed to complete their research before ending a book. So far, everything about animals he read were wrong or lacked dire information.
Arth brushed off the dirt and frowned as he stared at the dragon who was cleaning her tail.
What was it he had to do?
