Chronicles of the Beginning of Love
Chapter 14
The small markets on the streets hadn’t closed yet; the wind that traveled through still bore the hot odor of the asphalt road. Qiu Huaijun lowered his head to look at his flip-flops, laughing at how he looked like a stray dog. He followed behind He Qingchuan. When he tilted his head up to see the word “Hotel”, there was a sense of unreality.
“A single room.” He Qingchuan gave his ID and paid.
The woman at the front desk looked them both up and down, frowning. She lowered her head to input the information; the blue light of the computer screen was reflected in her pupils as she clicked away at the keyboard. She didn’t look at them as she handed the ID and room card over. “Room 4632.”
There weren’t many people coming to the hotel at this time. The elevator door closed; there were no more people than them two. As Qiu Huaijun watched his flip-flop-wearing reflection in the wall of the elevator, he said hoarsely, “I’ll give you the money.”
“Okay.” He Qingchuan didn’t refuse. His voice gathered in the tiny space, sounding as if right beside his ear. “No hurry.”
The single-person room wasn’t large, with a white bed. The bathroom had frosted glass, with shuttered curtains all around; soft orange light was cast down.
The moment Qiu Huaijun entered, he fled to the bathroom. He hurriedly threw down a sentence, “I’m taking a shower”, then locked the door.
He was dirty all over. As the heated water came down on his body, milky white mist began to rise. It was then that Qiu Huaijun finally reacted to all that had happened.
How long had he cried? Ten minutes, or maybe fifteen?
Life was truly mysterious. He had gone against He Qingchuan and He Wang for three to four years, but when he had an argument with He Hairan, it was He Qingchuan that freed him from that cage.
When Qiu Huaijun was crying, he’d been talking nonsense the entire time, but He Qingchuan only listened. He didn’t mock him like before. He even wiped away his tears, soothing him in a soft voice.
“Have you calmed down now?” asked He Qingchuan. “There are two options— go home, or leave with me. Which one do you want to pick?”
Qiu Huaijun had no other choice. With his eyes terribly red, he turned his face to the side. He said in a low voice, both weakly and stubbornly, “... I don’t want to go back.”
There were no shower scrubs in the hotel’s shower, so he could only rub the body wash between his palms until it created foamed, then roughly smear it on his body.
Qiu Huaijun took a longer time on purpose. He seemed to hear He Qingchuan make a call, telling the front desk to send something up.
The sound of water in the bathroom was loud; he couldn’t hear clearly.
Yet when he turned off the water, He Qingchuan hung up the phone.
After delaying for ten more minutes, Qiu Huaijun finished showering. He walked to the side wet all over, using a towel to wipe his body.
He couldn’t wear his underwear anymore, since it’d become soaked through when He Qingchuan sucked his milk in the alleyway. It smelled faintly musky.
His uniform was dirty too. The only clean things were his school jacket and the white short-sleeve inside.
Qiu Huaijun wasn’t so stupid as to wear the school jacket. What difference would there be from seduction? He was slightly irritable as he put on the hotel bathrobe. He tied it at the waist, then threw his underwear in the trash can.
After he’d dressed neatly, his entire body wrapped up securely to the point of slight stuffiness, Qiu Huaijun looked at his face in the mirror and took a few deep breaths before walking out of the bathroom.
The mist in the bathroom rolled out. Qiu Huaijun still wore the flip-flops, scrunching his toes in embarrassment.
He Qingchuan sat on the edge of the bed, looking over quietly when he heard Qiu Huaijun.
His facial features were good-looking, caught between the transition state from teenager to young man. Qiu Huaijun stared blankly for a moment, then quickly looked away. He said carelessly, “What’d you ask the front desk for in that phone call?”
“I had them buy some things to use,” He Qingchuan said. “They delivered it just now.”
As for what he bought, Qiu Huaijun had no interest. He found a topic of conversation only to prevent the mood from becoming too awkward.
Just as he was about to sit down on the chair, he heard He Qingchuan say, “Come here.” Qiu Huaijun paused for a moment, his hands fisting. He unwillingly walked over and sat down on the other corner of the bed, only two forearm’s length away from He Qingchuan.
“I’m… very grateful that you saved me. Then I’ll be staying here tonight, and I’ll give you the hotel fee tomorrow. You don’t need to worry,” Qiu Huaijun said thoughtfully, each word hesitant. “Ge, you can go home first, it’s late now.”
“Who told you I was going to leave?” After saying this, He Qingchuan suddenly leaned forward, his hand braced beside Qiu Huaijun. His breath abruptly became closer; the originally narrow single-person room became even more cramped, trapping Qiu Huaijun in the tiny space. This made Qiu Huaijun nearly unable to breathe. He Qingchuan’s knees pushed apart his legs. “I’m staying here.”
Qiu Huaijun wasn’t wearing underwear. When his two legs were forced apart, his pussy instantly contracted from the cold. He unconsciously struggled to get free. “Get away, don’t get so close to me!”
“Also, you said it wrong. I didn’t come to save you.” He Qingchuan’s voice was low. “I came to punish you.”
“... Punish me?” Qiu Huaijun raised his eyes in confusion. “... What do you mean?”
“It’s what you promised me before. I’d keep your secret, and you would be obedient.” He Qingchuan extended a hand to encircle Qiu Huaijun’s neck, the pads of his fingers slowly rubbing over hot skin. He said softly, “You didn’t do that, Huaijun.”
He clearly didn’t restrain him from breathing, but Qiu Huaijun felt like he didn’t know how to breathe anymore. This made him feel like he’d become the prey in the trap. The pulse in his neck became hotter. When he swallowed saliva down, the sliding motion of his throat was unavoidable. His breathing became heavier. Qiu Huaijun pursed his lips, then glared rebelliously at He Qingchuan. “Yesterday night, I wasn’t obedient and went to er-ge’s room. But He Qingchuan, didn’t you fuck me!”
