"Pop!" a semi pop sound came out of Tang Gon's mouth bu using his lips. Had anyone asked what he was doing, Tang Gon would have cheerfully uttered "for dramatic effects."
He was the type that just could not stand the silence. The type that would rather cause an explosion than to enjoy the peace and silence.
Yet, almost miraculously, a portal of some sorts appeared in front of him. The sudden apparition of the door caused him to flinch and shrink his head back.
But unlike what he expected, there were no alluring temptation drawing him in, except for the innate curiosity that every creature possesses.
Honestly speaking Tang Gon wasn't even that curious. He just wanted to know what it was inside the portal. It wasn't as if he had to know...
Being absolutely dramatic for no one's entertainment, Tang Gon closed his eyes and jumped through the portal.
[Would Host like to enter?]
[Yes/No]
By the time Tang Gon got the message he was already on the other side of the portal. Not through space and time to get to where the portal should have transported him, but directly on the other side of the portal.
Same room, same cave, same portal, no changes.
"...Yes."
This time the portal opened and enabled Tang Gon to go to the other side of it.
But had he turned his head amidst the crossing, he would have seen a ghostly smile with lifeless eyes tilting it's head at him.
The scary thing was that it wasn't staring at Tang Gon rather it was staring directly at something else.
Almost as if it knew there were other listeners or perhaps readers.
[AN: Muhawaha!!! The creepy smile thing is going after my readers!!! I just wanted to add that in, because I'm the author and you can't stop me.]
Unbeknownst to Tang Gon and everyone but the narrator of the journey, this was just the start.
...
Another door.
"Why are there so many door?!" shrieked Tang Gon. It was starting to get annoying and too complicated. The author had to add in so many fillers and so many unnecessary details.
The door was similar to the portal in that it was plain white in color, completely out of place when it was surrounded by the sheen of the metallic walls. But at the same time it was brimming with enchantments and elegance. A contradicting statement in its own way.
Opening yet another door, the room that he peered his head into was pretty much empty. The room wasn't that interesting at all. In fact, other than some empty bookshelves and containers randomly placed around, the room was desolate no matter how long he kept staring.
The room was seemingly endless. Tang Gon couldn't tell as for every step he took a strong weightsoon began to pile up onto his back.
It wasn't a tangible pressure, but one that coated his back with sweat. It was dimly lit, the bookshelves seemed normal, and it was blank.
He could not even see what was off into the far distance as misty fog was blinding his view from the things not yet ready for his eyes. It was utterly hard to explain or describe.
Tang Gon had no reason to fear as it can be confirmed that there were no signs of life in the area.
But the atmosphere was just dreary. For example, the fog had no reason to appear, it just drifted out from nowhere. There was just too many weird occurrences that would perfectly make an episode of the supernatural by itself.
But out of the so many emptiness, there was one shelf at the front off to the side that just caught his eyes.
A book of some sorts labeled with odd looking runes intricately eased onto the cover. It was the only thing in the whole room that was seemingly normal.
Picking it up, Tang Gon got a closer glance of the book. Some sort of leather coating.
"Crash"
A subtle sound of glass breaking startled Tang Gon from his thoughts. A nervous gulp and 58 goosebumps later, Tang Gon had enough.
Deciding it was time and there was absolutely no sights to foresee, Tang Gon ultimately chose to exit the place.
No sooner than had he decided he exited.
The face that was following him from earlier appeared where he had just left.
It was the same careless face that entered the portal a few minutes after Tang Gon.
And at the same time it had entered, was where and when the glass shattered.
Of course there was no actual glass, but it was the warning set in place by the previous Host and his system.
A warning to temporarily ward off whatever it was.
