Colonial Suit

#603 - Mission II

Under the gaze of the blood pupils, these humanoid figures coming off the assembly line began to work.

They burrowed into the underground passages of the planet, into various waste disposal pipelines, carrying out dangerous and highly corrosive operations. Their work was efficient, just like real machines. Many fell during this process, even their corpses were melted away... But no one retreated. On their faces, there were no expressions, no fear, sorrow, grief, despair...

They were not machines, yet they resembled machines. They repeatedly performed dangerous and difficult labor. In a sense, they were alternative machines created by the Lomesk people, to free up most of the work that required machines to complete.

Of course, this doesn't mean they were superior to machines, but simply because...

Cheap.

Incomparably, Section 601 Mission (2) Incredibly... cheap.

The growth of a Lomesk person required astronomical amounts of energy and mysterious crystals. But the production of a slave only required an embryo. They didn't need to encroach on the energy supplies necessary for the Lomesk people, they only needed simple food. Or even low-grade nutrient fluid that couldn't even be considered food.

It was a mixed liquid full of various harmful substances. Some ingredients were even waste excreted by the Lomesk people. Yet this liquid sustained their survival. The lives of the slaves were very short, generally not reaching five years, partly due to the high-risk and high-intensity work, and partly because this nutrient fluid eroded their nerves.

From the beginning, no one treated them as human beings, they were just consumables. Consumables coming off the assembly line.

Blood Pupil personally witnessed countless slaves dying at work, their bodies were all over the planet's underground. But afterwards, they were not buried or cremated, but collected, chopped up and decomposed, and remade into the basic raw materials for embryos, some parts were even mixed in the nutrient fluid to continue to serve as food for later slaves.

Watching them unknowingly absorb the corpse cells of their former companions, Blood Pupil felt a burst of nausea. Layers of anger surged in his heart!

Section 601 Mission (2) What is this place!?

Why... why under this seemingly civilized starry sky, is there such a cruel and dirty scene?

Aren't the Lomesk people known as the most civilized cosmic nobles? Don't they possess advanced civilization and always take pleasure in helping others?

Why? Why are there such scenes on their home planet?

Blood Pupil couldn't find the answer, but at this moment his heart sank slightly, feeling a bone-chilling coldness. The brilliance of civilization and the darkness behind it intertwined, entangled, and were no longer distinguishable in front of him.

But this was just the beginning. With further observation, Blood Pupil saw even more cruel scenes.

In order to optimize modulation, slaves were tied to 'operating tables' and dissected alive.

In order to adjust genes, slaves were sent back to the modulation nest and fused with various beasts for the second time, resulting in terrifying mutated creatures.

In order to reduce consumption, slaves were tried to be infused with liquids of various compositions to observe the subsequent reactions. Some slaves were melted alive, while others mutated suddenly, turning into various monsters.

And some... and some...

In just a few months, Blood Pupil personally witnessed the tragic state of the slaves. And also personally witnessed their ending.

This was a cruel world. From birth, they lost all dignity. They were not human beings, but just tools. In the Lomesk civilization, they were even the lowest-level tools, not even comparable to ordinary machines.

Blood Pupil heard the Lomesk people's name for them.

"Krodiles."

Rotten wood.

This was the Lomesk people's definition of them.

Time passed little by little, and in the blink of an eye, hundreds of years had passed. The Krodiles had deeply integrated into the Lomesk civilization, becoming the lowest-level members. They worked diligently, endlessly. But what they got in return was always the cheapest supplies, the worst living conditions. And the shortest life...

No one complained, no one resisted.

All the Krodiles silently endured, as if numb. Gradually, the Lomesk people also became accustomed to their numbness and obedience. They regarded their obedience as weakness.

Until one day...

A new experiment was put on the agenda. The purpose of the experiment was to modulate the Krodiles by special means, in an attempt to find a suitable individual for combat, so as to contribute to the Lomesk civilization in future possible wars.

The experiment proceeded quickly. Hundreds of Krodiles were put into the modulation nest and began to undergo weaponization modulation. But the subsequent results surprised the Lomesk people.

Most of the hundreds of Krodiles actually passed the weaponization modulation, and then burst out with shocking combat power. They easily shattered the rock-solid modulation nest and rushed out to wreak havoc. In just a few minutes, they slaughtered all the guards on the scene. The Lomesk people's proud mechanical bodies had no advantage in front of them. They were easily shattered by them. Then these slaves rushed out of the factory and wreaked havoc on the surrounding environment.

No one could describe their ferocity and violence. They were like a group of demons rushing out of hell, attacking all units that entered their sight. Huge Lomesk people were torn apart by them, and buildings were destroyed one by one.

They were true weapons of war, more terrifying and powerful than any warrior the Lomesk people had ever seen.

The most terrifying thing for the Lomesk people was that these Krodiles showed signs of getting out of control. The slave imprint implanted in them during the embryonic stage was extremely weak, and they were almost not controlled by the Lomesk people. This directly led to the expansion of the riot, and finally it was necessary to use planet-destroying cannons to eliminate these out-of-control slaves. But the resulting losses made the wealthy Lomesk people also 'gasp'.

Hundreds of kilometers of cities had been completely razed to the ground. All the buildings, including three slave factories, had evaporated from the world.

Lomesk paid a huge price for this experiment.

But this was just the beginning. As time passed, the Lomesk people gradually discovered an astonishing fact. That is, the Krodiles they created were actually beginning to awaken one by one.

They no longer slept, they were no longer numb. They also no longer had no emotions.

They began to learn to fear, to grieve, to despair, and also learned...

Anger.

To this end, the Lomesk people increased their supervision of the Krodiles slaves, put collars on them that could explode at any time, and forced them to engage in more dangerous and cruel work. The life expectancy of the Krodiles also dropped sharply as a result, from the initial five years, gradually shortened to less than three years.

These were cruel three years, hellish three years.

For any Krodiles, this short time was like the most terrifying darkness in the universe, cold and despairing.

But what they didn't know was that behind the darkness, there was often dawn following.

Five hundred and thirty-one years after Blood Pupil's observation, on July 12th, it rained on the Lomesk home planet.

A burly man descended on this planet like a meteor. He was wearing a strange set of armor, and there was a vague rhombus mark on his back.

He had no name, because, he was the king.!!!
