Colonial Suit

#903 - Arriving at the core

With one axe strike, the entire world seemed to shake. Blood瞳 personally witnessed several Sagesters charging towards Bas being blasted away, scattering into pieces mid-air. The giant axe blade cut into the spatial gate bit by bit in everyone's sight, with brilliant golden lines bursting out everywhere.

“Don't touch those lines,” Brut immediately warned. Those were all manifestations of rules, and no ordinary mercenary could come into contact with any of them. Even he would suffer heavy losses if he was careless.

At this moment, all the Sagesters went mad, seemingly sensing the purpose of Bas's strike. They pounced from all directions at all costs, not stopping even when mercenaries blew them away in swathes. Several mercenaries were caught off guard and torn to pieces, blood and limbs flying in the air.

Brut was instantly furious. He suddenly spread his arms, his body becoming extremely blurred. In an instant, the space within a few kilometers suddenly stagnated, collapsing like a quicksand pit.

“The wrath of the particle world, feel it with your fear!”

The next moment, Brut clasped his hands together. The collapsed void suddenly erupted, transforming into countless colliding and refracting particle clusters. The intense light was like a sun suddenly exploding, instantly filling every inch of space. The huge Sagesters trembled, collapsing and disintegrating in the intense light. Then they were devoured by the energy of the particles…

When everything returned to calm, where were the shadows of the Sagesters in the battlefield? Only the mechanical hall was expanded into a large cave several kilometers in diameter. The surroundings were as smooth as a mirror, as if they had been polished countless times.

Brut also turned pale and slumped to the ground.

“Gather immediately, buy time for His Highness Bas…” he said weakly, as if this blow had exhausted all his strength.

This was indeed the case. Particle collapse was an unfinished move by Brut. Forcibly colliding his own particles and devouring everything within range was almost an act of self-harm. It should be known that unlike ordinary particle transformation, this attack consumed Brut's original particles. Losing a little meant losing a little. Replenishing it would be troublesome.

If Blood瞳 had not returned, he would never have made such a move.

However, in this way, the Sagesters' offensive was forcibly suppressed, and it would take at least a few minutes to reshape the hall. This time was enough for Bas to do anything.

The mercenaries also understood that the opportunity was rare, and immediately gathered around Bas, reorganizing into a new defensive circle.

Brut glanced at Blood瞳 with a pale face and said softly, “I'm afraid I need to rest for a while. The next task will be up to you.”

“Okay.” Blood瞳 nodded. He didn't say much.

Brut had used too much of the world's power in this battle, which was extremely serious damage to a cosmic warrior. It was only natural for Blood瞳 to take over the remaining tasks.

In fact, Brut had led people to take down most of the eight fortresses this time. He should also rest.

At this time, Bas's giant axe had completely submerged into the spatial gate. It seemed to expand and extend infinitely. A large number of rule lines splashed out from the spatial gate. Many of them were wrapped around his body.

He had reached the most critical moment.

The spatial gate was not so easy to break through. The so-called spatial gate was actually the twisted manifestation of sub-rules. To break through, one had to suppress these sub-rules with one's own strength, even if it was only for a very short time.

He knew everything Brut did, but he didn't have time to care. In fact, at this point, humans could pay any price. Even if Brut died in front of him, he wouldn't frown. In the face of racial righteousness, no one was indispensable, and that included him.

The air was filled with the smell of blood. It didn't come from the dead mercenaries, but from Bas himself.

Blood瞳 saw blood seeping from every pore of his body. The muscles under his skin twitched rapidly, as if he was in extreme pain. Bas's face was a little distorted, and his eyes were as wide as copper bells. Only the hand holding the giant axe was as steady as ever.

Dense spots of light lit up again in the distant darkness. Those were all eyes.

More Sagesters were about to rush over! They weren't here to fight, they were here to risk their lives!

At this moment, Blood瞳 couldn't help but want to help Bas, but just as he was about to act, Bas suddenly shouted. The muscles in his arms bulged.

Entangled in countless golden threads, he actually lifted the giant axe again and chopped it down again!

This time, he forcibly opened a path in the center of the spatial gate!

A small crack that only one human could pass through!

“Rush in!!” Bas suddenly threw away the giant axe and supported the two ends of the crack with both hands. He used his body to block the crack from recovering.

His veins were bulging and his eyes were bloodshot as he roared at Blood瞳.

“Rush in! Complete your mission!”

“You don't need to worry about this place, even if we all die! You must complete the task the old man gave you! I'll block them here and buy you time!”

“If you want to help us, hurry up. As long as you take care of the things inside, the Sagesters will admit defeat!”

Bas roared excitedly, his arms being pushed back little by little! After fighting until now, he didn't have much strength left. Being able to open this passage was already his limit. He couldn't allow failure!

Blood瞳 didn't hesitate. He lowered his head and rushed into the passage, his terrifying speed instantly reaching its limit. He disappeared without a trace…

Bas then showed a smile, but as soon as he relaxed, his arms were pushed back by the two sides of the passage, snapping them with a crack.

The pale white bone spurs pierced out from his elbows, but he didn't even look at them. He just muttered to himself. “That's good, I've done my job. The rest depends on whether I have the life to survive.”

With that, he glared, and the giant axe trembled and floated in front of him. Then he bit the axe handle with his teeth, a terrifying grin on his face.

“Sagester bastards, let's see who can live to the end!”

Blood flowed down his cheeks, indescribably ferocious…

At this time, Blood瞳 had passed through the spatial gate and arrived at a mysterious space. This was the core part of the void aggregate, and also the source of the sub-rules. But what did he see??

“How is it possible… is this thing?” Blood瞳 opened his mouth wide, completely stunned.

Although he had imagined it countless times before, Blood瞳 had never thought that the core of the void aggregate would be this image…

A… clock!??

A huge clock as big as a satellite??

Is this the source of the sub-rules?

Looking at the behemoth in front of him, Blood瞳 was dumbfounded. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation..)

ps: I didn’t update yesterday. It’s not because I didn’t have time, but because I sat in front of the computer and spaced out for four hours. My mind was a little muddled, like the emptiness after an unbridled **. This happens every time after describing a big scene. But this time, my thinking diverged, and I seemed to be thinking about a lot of things like I was daydreaming.

It can be said that the author is a guy who weaves daydreams. Every daydream may produce a story, a novel. So I accidentally dreamed up a new framework… Maybe it will be used in the next book.

That might be a very interesting story, but it’s hard to say when it will become text…

Now, let me finish this book first. Because I have already figured out how to end this book.

This is also a very interesting ending, maybe it will surprise you.
