Colonial Suit
#949 - Tyrant Mundo
Faster than light was the blade!
More savage than the blade was the man!
A single slash, and before the mental construct could react, the burly conqueror slammed his shoulder into it. Explosive power erupted in that confined space, scattering the mental construct into particles. Amidst the swirling motes of light, he reappeared behind another mental construct, his elbow driving into its spine, piercing through the enemy, the vertebrae erupting from its chest.
Wild, domineering! When speed and power became one, it defined this conqueror's fighting style! He didn't need to dodge, because no one was faster; he didn't need to defend, because no one was more ruthless. Before killing him, the enemy had to consider whether they would be killed first. Hesitation meant a faster death! As the raging wind swept across the land, all he left his enemies were mountains of corpses and blood, and his laughter that shook the heavens.
This was 'Mundo the Blood Tyrant'! A conqueror of the late Great Scramble period of Krodel, feared by all.
And now, he appeared on this battlefield separated by ten thousand years, raising his blood-soaked butcher's blade once more.
Two blitz attacks, and two Star-level mental constructs were slain, yet he acted as if he had merely stretched, his face still bearing a look of unsatisfied hunger. He pinched a drop of blood from his arm and put it in his mouth.
The next moment, his familiar狂笑 echoed across the battlefield.
Blood, not from the enemy, for mental constructs had no blood. But even his own blood was equally delicious, was it not? Charging through the aura of death was a man's romance!
Despite the nearly hundred mental constructs surrounding him, Mundo didn't even glance at them, indulging in his own pleasure. Simultaneously, hundreds of light beams assailed him, but he flickered and vanished.
Such surreal speed was rare, even among Star-level beings.
"Hey, I'm having all the fun! How about you leave these wastes to me!"
Mundo suddenly looked up and shouted. Above him, several other figures were materializing. They were all conquerors manifested by Blood瞳 from the Blood Sea, but their transformation wasn't as swift as Mundo's. They were still in a semi-illusory, semi-real state. Compared to the nearly hundred mental constructs summoned by Trius, Blood瞳 summoned only a handful of heroic spirits. It wasn't that he couldn't summon more, but without a replenishment of abyssal power, he could only materialize these few conquerors. Moreover, he had to rely on the support of the Dark Source Ground.
In fact, these imposing conquerors could only exist on the Dark Source Ground; their 'lives' were limited to this day.
Hearing Mundo's words, a very thin but broad-shouldered conqueror lowered his head, a wry smile on his face.
"Mundo, you want to hog all the fun?"
"Hehe, just making a suggestion." Mundo chuckled, a glint of cunning in his eyes. "Since you don't agree, don't blame me for acting first. Who told you to be so slow?"
With that, he flashed and lunged back into the battlefield...
In the black mist behind him, the slender figure shook his head. "Too few... not satisfying enough."
"It's good enough that we can come out." Another, even more illusory figure replied. "Anyway, their strength isn't bad. Mundo can't finish them all alone. We'll have our fun when we get out."
The conquerors' transformation was based on strength; the stronger the conqueror, the slower the transformation. Mundo was the first to emerge from the black mist because he was the weakest. The remaining conquerors were all stronger than him.
Like that slender conqueror. His name was 'Izerius', specializing in ranged attacks. When he was on the battlefield, it was like adding a core, controlling the life and death cycle of everyone. Hence, his nickname was 'Nexus'. He once destroyed three powerful ancient civilizations with just himself and his battle servants, each no weaker than the great families of the Fourth World.
The battlefield surged, Mundo's renewed engagement triggering a violent reaction. More than a dozen mental constructs specifically altered their trajectories to intercept him. In an instant, light and shadows flashed, the terrifying energy collisions resembling a cataclysm. Any speck of dust, under the influence of these energies, was comparable to a cannonball, instantly piercing the mountains into sieves.
Under the power of the Star-level beings, the environment became incredibly fragile, seemingly on the verge of collapse. If not for the cosmic will creating crystal walls, even space would have been shattered by them.
But Mundo still weaved through the field, shouting in exhilaration, fueled by his superior speed. He had no flashy abilities or weapons, only a pair of sharp ultra-wave blades. But even so, he was not weak in the slightest. As his figure flashed, each crescent moon of his blade invariably injured an enemy. The damaged mental constructs dissolved into crystalline light, a spectacular sight in the black mist.
Of course, the mental constructs were not weaklings either. Mundo was powerful because he possessed too much combat experience and a fanatical battle lust. But in terms of pure energy levels, he was not stronger than the mental constructs. Krodel was too ancient after all. Over such a long period, the universe's warriors had evolved a complete development system, and their combat power had been highly developed.
Ancient conquerors seemed to be merely names in memories, no longer belonging to this world.
So the dozen mental constructs showed no fear, continuing their attacks. They released various waves and abilities, attempting to seal and capture Mundo. But most of their efforts were in vain. Instead, Mundo managed to cut down two more in his flashes. It wasn't until a mental construct appeared before him and allowed him to strike with his blade that he let out a roar.
That strike nearly cleaved the mental construct in two, but strangely, the opponent seemed to feel no pain. Instead, a deep gash appeared on Mundo's body. The wound went deep into the bone, exposing the tendons and organs within.
"Real Reflection!"
Mundo muttered, a cruel glint in his eyes.
Blood dripped from his wound, but he seemed not to feel it, becoming even more wild and excited. Suddenly, he reached out and grabbed the mental construct in front of him, then soared into the sky.
"Not painful enough, not nearly painful enough! You little thing, can you only give me this little bit of pain?! How can it be enjoyable with just this little wound!? Come on! Let's get a little more exciting!" He shouted, then dove headfirst downward. With a forceful twist, he actually snapped the mental construct in half in mid-air. When he crashed down, the entire earth trembled, and a giant mushroom cloud appeared on the battlefield.
The violent shockwave swept in all directions, stirring up clouds of dust.
Mundo walked out of the dust step by step, still carrying half a thigh in his hand. Blood had completely dyed him red, but his smile was even more ferocious!
"The more it hurts, the more I fight, that's what's called enjoyable!"
He said, his gaze sweeping over the remaining mental constructs one by one, filled with disdain.
