"What is Blood瞳 doing?"
In the twins' room, Robbie asked Jules. He's been back for so long, why hasn't he come to check on them? Doesn't he care about the twins' condition?
"He's using the medical pod," Jules replied, gently placing two towels on the twins' foreheads. "He looked terrible when he came back. And he was carrying a monster."
"A monster?"
"Just a mass of rotten flesh. I think it was an enemy," Jules said. She wasn't worried about whether Blood瞳 would win. She had known Blood瞳 for so long, and he never seemed to disappoint her. All the companions shared this sentiment.
However, battles always have unexpected events.
"He's injured?" Robbie frowned, seeming a little incredulous.
"Who knows? He doesn't look any different," Jules replied, gently patting the twins' backs, trying to make them feel better.
In just a moment, the twins' fever worsened. Although they weren't delirious yet, they were basically incoherent, just constantly murmuring something, but it was impossible to make out what they were saying.
Robbie sighed and took out a Bible from his bosom and began to chant. His voice seemed to possess an invisible magic, capable of comforting damaged hearts. The twins' murmurs gradually subsided in his voice, and the pained look on their little faces improved a lot. But they still hugged each other tightly, their little hands turning white from the force.
Robbie continued to chant, his voice echoing in the room. Holy... like a saint.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the ship, in the medical pod, Blood瞳 was silently staring at the object on the operating table, his face ashen.
It was a mass of flesh monster that was no longer recognizable. Its chest and abdomen were opened, its ribs turned outwards, revealing the complex organs and biological systems inside. Blood flowed from the flesh and was collected by the circulatory system and fed back into the monster's pulse tubes. At this time, the monster was not dead yet, and the wriggling tendons and flesh buds desperately wanted to heal, but each time they were suppressed by an invisible force.
This was a colony装, or rather, a dissected colony装. And what suppressed it was the Core.
But what made Blood瞳's face ashen was not the colony装 itself, but what he saw inside the colony装's chest. It was also a mass of blurred flesh, but anyone could tell that before she became this monster, she was still a child.
A child with a tender body of only about ten years old.
How could there be such a thing inside the colony装? Blood瞳 couldn't figure it out. But he knew that this child was definitely not willing to enter the colony装, because her flesh and blood had been assimilated by the colony装, creating a symbiotic relationship. This phenomenon was more terrible and more cruel than parasitism. To put it bluntly, it was a kind of food, but it was stored in the body in another way.
The colony装's feralization was maintained by this method to avoid the death of life force exhaustion.
"Did you find anything?"
Blood瞳 reached out his hand over the colony装 with a gloomy face. An hour had passed, and he believed that the Core's sampling was over, and now it was time to end it. As soon as he saw the bloody child's bones, Blood瞳 had an impulse to destroy it.
The colony装 was a living weapon, and Blood瞳 had long known its danger. But he still couldn't accept the scene before him.
Or, this was the biggest difference between him and the beast. He still retained a bit of conscience.
"Target information collection complete. Data organizing," the Core replied. "You can eliminate it. It has no value now."
"Very good," Blood瞳 nodded. With a swipe of his right hand, a powerful force field instantly squeezed the flesh monster into a single point, and finally disappeared without a trace.
Then Blood瞳 said to the Core, "I want to know the results."
"It's a ruin," the Core replied. "From the gene fragments, it can be known that these colony装s came from an early base of 克罗迪尔. Because of a failed experiment, the enhanced tissue proliferated, so it was abandoned. At that time, there were no survivors in the base. In order to eliminate the over-proliferating enhanced tissue, 克罗迪尔 destroyed the planet at that time."
"But they didn't expect that the base would survive the planet's explosion and re-perfect the organization," the Core explained. "I checked the database and there is no record of this base, which means its status is not important."
"But it has survived for ten thousand years, not only survived the wars of the Great Chaos, but also continues to produce colony装s!!" Blood瞳's voice was cold, as cold as ice. "Why it's not important, I want to know, why can it do this?"
"Did you find the reason for their feralization?"
"A little clue," the Core replied. "But I don't think you'll want to hear it."
"Speak," Blood瞳 was too lazy to talk nonsense, although he knew that the Core was kindly reminding him.
"It's the naive creature you saw. I found a bloodline in its body. You would never have thought of it," the Core's voice hesitated for a moment, but finally said, "It is 克罗迪尔's eternal ally, the embodiment of all negative emotions in the universe, the bloodline of the Fallen Angel."
The latest novel is launched in the 6 9 books bar!
"What?"
Now Blood瞳 finally understood why the twins would suddenly fall ill, why he would enter a space where he couldn't confirm the coordinates, it turned out that the root of everything was here!
As we all know, the Fallen Angel is a collection of negative emotions in the universe, so the Nine Heavens where she lives is not a realistic concept of space, but an existence similar to an other dimension. In a sense, this dimension is non-realistic, because you can't find its positive rule foundation, but from another point of view, it is realistic, because it may manifest!
So in the Nine Heavens, all space-related abilities will be affected, and anti-space coordinates are completely shielded!
"Could it be that this is the Nine Heavens?" Blood瞳 suddenly walked to the porthole, looking at the endless clouds outside. "But wasn't it destroyed?"
"What was destroyed was just the image," the Core replied. "Theoretically, the Nine Heavens will not disappear, because the emotions of cosmic creatures will never be eliminated. So as long as there is hatred, pain, curse, anger... the Nine Heavens will be reborn from negative emotions."
"This is not important," the Core continued. "What's important is that the Fallen Angel bloodline is the most untouchable thing of colony装s. Once touched, it will cause feralization!"
"Because they are a collection of negative emotions, they will react violently with enhanced cells, causing pollution."
"This is the clue I got! Here, in this other dimension, there must be Fallen Angels living!"
"Even possibly, a group of Fallen Angels!"
The Core finally concluded. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets. Your support is my biggest motivation..)
