Conan: The Mechanic

Chapter 21: - The man who falls slowly

"Qianyu," Conan asked in a low voice to Qianyu on the way out of the train station. "How did you find him? I always feel like you found him on purpose."

"Isn't it enough to strike up a conversation?" Qianyu rolled her eyes.

"..." Conan's brows jumped.

"Little brother," Dr. Li asked Yu. "When did the festival take place?"

"If the festival starts at 9:00 in the morning, it should be held until about 6:00 in the evening." You thought for a while and replied.

"Then," Dr. Li asked again. "What's the price of the hostel in Ogumi?"

"Huh?" Yu seemed bewildered by this question. "Hostel?"

"Yeah, what, is there anything wrong?" Dr. A Li was puzzled by Yu You's reaction and asked.

"Okuran is a small town. There doesn't seem to be a hostel in the town. After all, this is a small town that has just had a telephone." You said with a smile.

"Then can we sit back in the city after watching the festival?"

"If the festival ends at six o'clock, I'm afraid it will be difficult for us to go back." Qian Yu interrupted with a frown. "The festival is hotter than you think, and we're unlikely to get tickets unless we go back early—"

"Do you have any acquaintances in Ashikaga?" Yuu asked.

"No." Dr. Li shook his head.

"Then why don't you just stay at my house, my empty house is relatively rich, and the price will definitely be cheaper than the hostel in the city." Yu suddenly recommended to everyone. "Hostels in the city are generally 3,500 yen per person, and children range from 1,500 to 2,000 yen, and the food only provides a very simple breakfast. How about you, an adult and four or five children, only need 10,000 yen? Tonight, tomorrow morning I will prepare frozen food for you, and I will try my best to buy delicious bento for you tomorrow night. If you are not satisfied with the price, you can negotiate.”

"..." Dr. Agasa glanced at Motobu Mimitsuhiko, who was looking forward to it, and then looked at Conan. Conan, on the other hand, glanced at Chiyu, who had been looking at Yu, and nodded to Dr. Agasa. "Then please."

"Right," Conan suddenly said to Yu. "If we brought food, we don't have to bother my brother. How about reducing the fee to 9,500 yen?"

"Huh?" Yu was stunned. To prepare food for the six of them, it would cost about 3,000 yen, which means that Conan's words made him an extra 2,500 yen.

Dr. A Li was stunned.

Chiyu reacted after being slightly stunned, and quickly looked around, just in case anyone didn't understand Conan's plan and ruined Conan's plan. (Isn't this ruining Chiba's plan?)

Mitsuhiko was about to remind Conan after calculating, but was stopped by Chiba.

Yuantai doesn't have a cold for bento, and is very interested in going out to buy food by herself, so she didn't think about it.

Chiba hooked Mitsuhiko's shoulders and pulled him aside.

"Qianyu, what are you doing?" Mitsuhiko was taken aback by Qianyu's sudden pull, and it took a few staggers to stabilize his pace.

"Are you going to say it's too bad to do this?" Qian Yu ignored the strange eyes of Yuanta and Ayumi, and whispered.

"Isn't it?" Mitsuhiko said of course.

"Take your opinion into your stomach, don't say it!" Qian Yu frowned and said firmly in an unquestionable voice. "Conan did it for a reason."

"Ah?" Mitsuhiko digested Chiyu's words for a while, and finally decided to do as he did. "Oh well."

"The car is here, let's run!" You glanced behind him and suddenly started running.

"Ah?" Everyone in the detective team was stunned for a moment, only to see a bus coming from behind everyone, heading for the bus stop tens of meters ahead.

"Run!" Dr. A Li's order made everyone run.

"Hu-hu-" Yuan Tai, dressed in rough clothes, sat down on the seat. "Finally got a seat."

"There are not as many people here as Tokyo," Yu said with a smile, sitting in the seat next to him. "Although there are fewer buses than Tokyo, there are not as many seats as in Tokyo. We only need to get to the terminal and we will arrive at the tram station to Ouki-chan, which will take about an hour."

. . .

"I'm..." Qianyu woke up in a daze and saw herself standing, looking at a man face to face. "I'm looking at an adult man? I'm dreaming... So, this man is..."

The man wore a pair of glasses and a well-dressed suit, looking at Chiba in silence.

"Who are you?" Qianyu asked.

"..." The man didn't respond.

The man's figure was suddenly shattered by the sound Chiba heard.

"Two o'clock!" Yuan Tai's voice made Qian Yu suddenly wake up from the dream of seeking the truth.

"Miss Yuan, what are you doing!" Qian Yu woke up from her sleep, and Yuan Tai was instantly frightened by the rare angry voice.

"Ah... yes... I'm sorry..." Yuanta apologized wearily.

"But then, why did I fall asleep..." Qian Yu patted her forehead, thinking helplessly. "Sure enough, I didn't get enough sleep last night..."

"Ah! Hey!" Yuan Tai actually let out a loud shout again. "Look at the top of the building!"

"Miss Yuan, what are you doing—" Qian Yu was about to scold Yuan Tai, but found that there were two people on the roof that seemed to be five or six stories high behind the two-story building across the road. Chiba's eyes narrowed. "These two..."

Just when several people were speculating about what the situation was, one of the two was actually pushed off the roof by the other!

"!!!" Everyone had incredible expressions on their faces.

"Something happened..." Qianyu and Conan looked at each other and muttered.

"The next stop is not far away, let's get off the bus and hurry over there!" Conan said, and was already standing next to the back door of the bus. "Brother Yu, can you lead the way?"

. . .

Fifteen minutes later, when the group followed You to the scene of the incident, they saw a person lying on the ground downstairs, whose life and death were unknown, and an ambulance from the fire department had just stopped by the roadside. Two doctors ran down with stretchers and braces to treat the wounded.

"The injured person may have a fracture, so pay attention to the transport posture!" The doctor reminded, while fixing the patient's body with a brace, turned it over and lifted it onto a stretcher.

"It's not quite right~www.readwn.com~ Conan muttered to himself.

"Hmm..." Chiyu agreed.

After a few minutes.

"Excuse me, but who did you call the police?" The ambulance driver got out of the car and prepared to record the accident.

"It's me," replied a young woman holding an umbrella walking out of the crowd. "I called the police."

"I was walking on the road with an umbrella just now when the man suddenly fell off like this, and then I called the police."

"She was the witness." Conan raised his eyebrows and disappeared into the crowd.

"Mr. ambulance driver," Chiba said to the driver. "I suggest you call the police."

"Huh?" The driver was stunned.

"He was pushed down," Chiyu pointed to her eyes and said. "By another person."

"We saw it too!" Motota Mitsuhiko and Ayumi also nodded.

"Yes," Yu nodded. "We were sitting on the bus on the other street and saw him being pushed off."

"What!" The driver's face immediately turned very bad, and he walked quickly to the car. "This is the emergency department. Regarding the fall from the building that I just contacted, it seems that there is a possibility of attempted murder. Ah, the victim, Mr. Ogata Masaki, 37 years old..."

"It's interesting." Conan's voice sounded from behind Qianyu.

"?" Qianyu turned back and looked at Conan with a playful expression.

"That elder sister, saw the victim fall to the ground at 2:10." Conan looked at Qianyu and said.

"But we should have been..." After Chiyu heard the news, her face was full of confusion.

"I saw him being pushed down at two o'clock," Conan nodded. "That said, it was a slow fall that lasted ten minutes."
