Said Azur laying on the grass with a lollipop in her mouth.

The wind breezed across the hill where the 2 girls laid. The grass leaned toward the wind's direction while the trees gently rustled. The sky was blue like Azur's hair while the large waves of white clouds were reflected on Azur's blue eyes.

[Azur] - "I sometimes wonder if those who are gone still watch you over the skies. "

[Darlynn] - "Gone isn't really the right word. "

[Azur] - "How would you put it then? "

[Darlynn] - "No one's truly gone. Someone who has died will live on inside the heart of those he or she inspired, so technically, they are never gone. "

[Azur] - "I see... "

[Darlynn] - "Your mother's wills and memories still live inside you and so does your sister. What I find truly sad are those who lost themselves. They are the only ones able to kill someone, to erase certain people from existence. In another word, they are the ones who are truly gone. "

[Darlynn] - "No, not by social media. It only demonstrated how much people have lost themselves. The real war started with social unrest, violent protest and eventually censorship and revolution. There were countries oppressed by the government and others ravaged by the radicals and extremists. "

[Azur] - "So the downfall of us the humans? "

[Darlynn] - "No, it's only natural. It's just history repeating itself and one day, through struggles, hardsh.i.p.s and war, people will find their true selves. We are walking a roundabout route. "

[Azur] - "Lost... "

[Darlynn] - "We are people trying to find our destiny but those who gave up on the search, defeated by the obstacles and refusing to stand up again are considered lost. Those who also refused to accept who they are, are also lost. And many other examples... "

Mergiann and Karson spend their entire day inside the amus.e.m.e.nt park not far away from the small green hill. As Karson and Mergiann descended from the rollercoaster, Karson noticed something he has no seen for a long time. Mergiann was showing a smile that he hasn't seen for a long time. An expression filled with pure joy and happiness.

For a moment, Karson forgot the burden that was on his shoulder and let out a bright smile himself. The 2 of them shared a moment they never had the chance to have ever since the start of the war. Their happiness was magical, it felt for them as if time has stopped, that they didn't have any pains or worries.

Back on the hill, Azur looked upon the skies and thought back at that day again. She slowly got up and looked at Darlynn who fell asleep, then turned her head toward the amus.e.m.e.nt park where her 2 other friends were playing.

Quietly, she reached into her back bag and pulled Darlynn's gift out before gently pulling the package away. Inside she found a canary diamond with a yellow glow under the effect of the sun.

But just as she touched it, the gem started to glow with a bright golden colour as Azur's ability started to bind itself to it. Soon, the diamond was under her ability's control and completed her squadron of 6 gems. Her 6 crystals floated in front of her with 4 of them being her original sapphires and the rest being Mergiann's ruby and Darlynn's canary diamond.

[Azur] - "One's crystal ability represents one's mindset. Before, I had a wavering heart that was the result of me being uncertain of myself. That day, I was able to discover my true self and was able to change. I no longer have doubt and fear and that's why I was able to unlock my ability and perform the perfect rotation. "

Azur grabbed her back bag and observed the sky for one last time where she imagined her sister.

[Azur] - "I know you are alive, no matter where you are, I know we aren't far apart. You are watching over me that day, right? You just wait, I will find you! "

With a snap of her fingers, Azur ordered the gems to return to her belt before waking up Darlynn.

At the end of the day, as the sun started to set, the 4 friends gathered around on that hill where they sat and chatted for a while. During this time, Karson pulled out a small camera.

[Karson] - "Hey, guys, how about we take a picture to remember? "

[Mergiann] - "Where does this sudden idea come from? "

[Darlynn] - "I think it's a great idea, don't you think, Azur? "

[Azur] - "*smiles* Why not? "

The 4 of them placed themselves in front of the camera and with the help of Azur's crystals, a picture of the team was snapped. That night, they ate at a restaurant and joined a nightclub where they drank and danced until morning.

The following day, they kept wandering around the place and having fun. Karson completely forgot about his pending death. The team enjoyed a time of delight and joy they never had the chance to experience before. When the night came, Karson, after looking at Mergiann for one last time, left the building with a smile.

He had no regret as he marched in the streets. He already accepted his fate and those 2 days were the best days of his life. He remembered all the adventures he had with his team and all the good times he had with his friends. After a short walk, he made his way inside an empty and dark park.

Standing in the middle of the night, away from views, in the middle of the grass, Karson was ready to accept his fate. He slowly opened his arm and embraced death with a smile.

[Karson] - "Thank you for giving me a second chance! "

The wind blew across the trees and onto Karson's body and before long, Karson opened his eyes to see Ellie sitting on a throne in front of him.

[Karson] - "This is the end, huh? "

[Ellie] - "Karson Tristram! You were given a second chance and now your time has run out! Do you have any last words before your damnation? "

[Karson] - "I have no regret. You gave me a second chance and I used it wisely. Thank you! "

Ellie's eyes stared at Karson with a blank expression while Karson closed his eyes with a smile. Upon seeing that smile on Karson's face, Ellie's expression suddenly changed.

[Ellie] - "Why are you not scared and why do you face death with a smile? "

[Karson] - "Because I'm ready. Because I enjoyed the life I'm living and being able to have a privilege that no other man could have. The 2 days that I was able to have with my friends were truly magical days that healed my wounds and made me accept my fate. "

[Ellie] - "Some will try to escape death and others will fear me. But you, you are truly someone special. Once again, I'm impressed with what you can show me, Karson. "

Ellie stood up from her throne and walked to face the window behind her. The tall and gigantesque glass then showed Azur in her chamber as she slept.

[Karson] - "That is... "

[Ellie] - "My sister, Karson. Azur is my sister and despite how hard she searched for me, I can never show myself to her. "

[Karson] - "Why? "

[Ellie] - "Because this dimension is the fabric of my ability. If I were to feel emotion, this dimension will collapse. "

[Karson] - "That means... "

[Ellie] - "She can never find me. "

[Karson] - "I'm sorry. "

[Ellie] - "There are treasures that some people cannot possess in this world, Karson. Me being reunited with my only family member is impossible. Since I cannot feel any emotion, I do not feel pity for any of the people I judge but despite this, you managed to make me feel different. You used the only thing that could reach me: words. Despite how much other people pleated with words, you managed to infuse something beautiful in them. "

[Karson] - "Something beautiful? "

[Ellie] - "Yes. You gave me selfless reasons and pure-hearted answers. You are worthy of another chance but this time, you will have all the time you need to find your treasure. "

[Karson] - "Do you mean... "

[Ellie] - "Karson Tristram! By the judgement of me, Ellie Ameri, guardian of the purgatory, prosecutor of the damned and guide of the blessed, I shall give you another chance to life! "

Karson's eyes were filled with tears as he is slowly being transported away from the dimension.

[Karson] - "I'm grateful, my angel! "

[Ellie] - "You better keep my existence a secret from Azur, you fantastic daredevil... "

[Karson] - "I promise! "

[Ellie] - "...miracle of the heaven and hell. "

The next day, Karson woke up inside his hotel chamber in his bed. He looked at the place around him and touched his face and body before pulling the curtain away from the window. He looked outside to see cars running in the streets and people minding their business.

He looked up and saw the sun shining in the sky as always. He suddenly turned around to the sound of his door being knocked.

[Mergiann] - "Hey, Karson, are you awake yet? "

Karson closed his eyes and breathed a sigh of relief; he is alive and well.

[Karson] (with a smile) - "Thank you, Ellie. "
