Crystalline Universe: Team Fortress 2/ Overwatch

*NOTE: The current story takes place one year after the ravage of War in the late chapter « The dark crusaders ».

The war has been going on for 1 year and a half now we have liberated England, France, Spain and Germany. At first, the men discussed how should they start to free Europe from the oppression of Talon as our forces didn't at all stand a chance against the enemy fleets. But soon after, the news about Sniper's death has finally been proved to be true. The soldiers and Overwatch agents were filled with hopes and motivation with the arrival of the report. In the meantime, we secretly agreed with McArthur to use his power to defeat the enemy. All around the globe, the conditions imposed by CR-455, the new leader of Talon, to the population under his military control are horrible as people starved to death and became homeless caused by the destruction of the war. Families have been torn appar, lives have been lost and those who are alive only lived to die another day. I'm currently disguised as another girl under the name of Berendina (Genji suggested to call me Ahri, I don't where did he come up with a name like that but I almost took that name). We also suspected a spy amount us, for the moment, I have no idea who it is. I prevented a total of 137 suicide attempts from McArthur this year, I have to eventually figure out a way to deal with this. Genji, McCree and Reinhardt received the first version of the new crystal system created by the engineer and me, for now, am still stuck with no power while they have all gained their ability.

*Inside the living room of McCree's team.

All the team member stood inside the room discussing matters about the recent missions.

Genji - Say, I think I'm even stronger than War from my power. I mean did you guys see that I destroyed a Talon task force with my ability alone?

McCree - Don't get too c.o.c.ky on the battlefield, you may end up like one of the guys from the other team, sliced in pieces by an invisible enemy.

Genji - Come on McCree you know that I have a fast reaction, you don't have to worry about me.

Reinhardt - Talon has also weapons of its own, I heard they also have crystal warriors like us.

McArthur stayed silent in the conversation, a side-effect of his medications to prevent him from turning into the mad man or turn suicidal.

The curious faces of the team seen this unknown figure for the first time pushed 76 to answer their curiosity.

76 - Gentlemen, this is Ferdinand, a newly promoted recruit from the spying division to the specialist agency. Due to his amazing accomplishments, I personally met him and took him to join you, the most efficient and brave of the team of special agents. I look forward to seeing you work together and accomplish future missions with the power and skill you have.

Walking toward McCree, 76 proceeded to speak to him.

Genji (whispering to Kadyn's ear) - I think this guy looks suspicious don't you think?

Kadyn (In whispers) - I don't think so but instead, I think something's off about him.

Genji (turning to McArthur) - McArthur what do you think?

McArthur - I think he looks fine, I think we can trust him.

76 - And that's all McCree, I will now leave you, gentlemen, alone. I still have a meeting with the pentagon, I will see you in the next mission.

McCree - Yes, sir, I understand, I will make sure to keep the medical cruiser out of danger's reach.

Ferdinand - I didn't think my first day here would be this awkward... Um... Do I have to know something about this team,... like rules?

McCree - This Reinhardt, this way is Genji, to you right, Berendina, to the back, McArthur and finally me, McCree. Welcome aboard fellow agent!

Shaking McCree's hand, Ferdinand looked McArthur in the eyes before changing to look back at McCree. The sudden action was noticed by Kadyn who observed the man since the start. The doubts inside her heart only grew as soon after, instead of shaking hands with Reinhardt who presented his first, Ferdinand shook McArthur's hand without him even tending him his.

McCree - Ok boys, we need to get ourself ready, we have a mission.

McArthur - What is it about this time?

McCree - We will have to protect the medical cruiser from enemy boarding parties. Last time, 5 doctors and 17 nurses were killed from a boarding done by the enemy fleet.

Genji - Say no more, how long until the battle begins?

McCree - We and the 9th fleet will be engaging Talon's 3rd fleet and 5th ground base in 35 minutes.

Kadyn - Seems like a big battle...

McArthur - Then let's get moving!

With that said, Genji exited the room first followed by Ferdinand and finally Kadyn. Before McArthur exited the room, McCree grabbed him by the shoulder and said in his ear:

McCree - McArthur, I don't know about you but I think that guy can yet be trusted...

Anyways, take your mask and equipment, the base was protected by Megalobusters (Giant omnic units measuring up to 350 metres in height), we need your power to defeat them.

McArthur - Count on me! I will do what I should.

McCree - Thank you, McArthur, you are a huge help and a good friend, I wish you luck.

McArthur - Yeah, you too.

Leaving the room, McArthur walked to the opposite side of McCree and headed toward the engineer's laboratory.

Soon, the team left for the medical cruiser as McArthur equipped himself with a black mask and cloths made to hide his identity in battle.

War was declared, a battle comes down.

*Somewhere

Voice - What are your orders, my lord?

CR-455 - You will get me the Australium aboard the Overwatch's 5th's medical cruiser. I will be observing, don't disappoint me!

Voice - As you wish, my lord.

*Back in the battle of Poland

Intercom - McArthur, get ready for deployment, the Megalobusters are in front guarding the base, there are 18 of them in total.

McArthur - Roger that!

Jumping from the mothership's hangar, McArthur flew right toward the Talon base, where, realizing his presence, the giant machines started to attack him with barrages of missiles and cannon shots.

Moving forward and back, he dodged the attacks with difficulty and after a short struggle, he used his crystal to fire a powerful punch at one of the bots. The strike proved to be not at all fatal for the giant as soon as it was knocked down, it gets up again.

Back at the medical cruiser, McCree's squad waited patiently for the incoming boarding parties. The sky was somewhat clear in the area as not many enemy fighters or carriers manage to pass through all the defences to reach to the back, where the medical cruiser was stationed.

Looking at the skies, Reinhardt suddenly spotted a small object coming to their way.

Reinhardt (pointing to the unknown object) - Everyone, look what's that thing far from here.

Kadyn, advancing toward the hangar's opening, zoomed-in her eyes to look more clearly at the incoming projectile.

Kadyn - It's a ship, a very small transport ship and it's from us, Overwatch.

Genji - Then it's fine, let's get to the side so we don't get crushed in its landing.

Suddenly, before anyone of them even moved, the small carrier disappeared from the sky.

McCree - What the hell? Where is that ship?

Reinhardt (pointing to his right) - No! McCree, the ship is not important, what's important is how did he manage to get here without us noticing him at all?

A dark crusader stood in the proximity of the group armed with 2 giant sword burning in flame and wears an armour littered with tubes circulating a red-orange liquid inside them. The crusader looked at the team in confusion.

McCree - Stop talking nonsense and surrender while you can! I'm not in the mood to spare my enemy if I were to fight today!

The dark crusader - I see, this can be somewhat an interesting battle as I can tell, ... You are all crystal user except for one! Let me present myself, my name is Ace, the crusader of flame.

All of a sudden, a flying sword struck Ace in the back knocking him forward.

Ace - Who did that?

Before any action can be done by Ace, 8 more swords stabbed him in the back. Rushing toward him, Genji launched himself with his sword to strike Ace's head.

In a flash, Ace's body glowed with a melting red colour causing his surrounding to heat up so much that upon impact with his helmet, Genji's sword melted into a puddle of metal along with part of his body.

Falling to the ground, Genji was left incapacitated as the blazing dark crusader approached to strike him with his sword.

Before hitting Genji with his weapon, Reinhardt charged toward Ace and with his hammer, he slammed the dark warrior back.

Reinhardt - Let's do this!

McCree (Aiming his pistol) - I'm on you!

Standing in front of Ace, Reinhardt was ready to fight for the life of others as he did not forget what atrocity War did last time when left unrivalled.

*On the bridge of a Talon ship

CR-455 looked at the battlefield littered with explosion and death in satisfaction. He does not need to command or plan anymore as losing this battle was of his intention. He was already complete, everything it requires is tests, tests to make sure it reaches it's fullest potential without danger.

As the crystals on his forearms shined with power, CR-455 felt a feeling that even Sniper did not felt in the entirety of his life: Invulnerability.

Genji, ability: {Past Lost Samurais}

Description: Allows Genji to manipulate 8 blades independently at the same time without affecting his mobility or mentality.
