Crystalline Universe: Team Fortress 2/ Overwatch

In the death of silence inside the Talon base hallways, the only sound is the voice of rule and order, which forced every man to walk without making a noise. But the calm's disturbance by heavy footsteps caught the bypassers' attention. Three executioners ran in a hurry toward the other end of the corridor, pushing anyone standing in their way to the side in the process.

[Executioner 1] - "Hurry up, we need to kill him before we completely lose it. "

[Executioner 2] - "Are we really doing this? This is high treason! "

[Executioner 3] - "This is our road to fortune and endless power, we would be such dumbasses if we refused! "

[Executioner 1] - "Quick! Less talking! We need to terminate him before someone saves him! "

As they ran passed CR-5732, real name, Elie Ameri, the female executioner quickly contacted another someone with the switch of a button on her helmet.

CR-455's death and Italy fleet's annihilation has yet reached the Talon council or any of his members except for a few of CR-455's trustworthy men. Most of them decided to ignore the message since they believe that CR-455's death would be impossible but for another group, this is a race to opportunity.

The three executioners planned to kill Sniper before he could come back to power so they could claim his throne.

[Elie, though her helmet] - "Purple Fiction, can you hear me? "

[Purple Fiction] - "I read you, what's the matter? "

[Elie] - "I need you to revive lord Sniper, these bastards are trying to kill him! "

[Purple Fiction] - "We are out of time, we need an alternative. Sniper's revival would take about 30 minutes, this is too long! "

[Elie] - "I will drop a bottle of Australium from the hatch, the containment will be at Sniper's level in a few seconds. Then I need you to apply the substance to lord Sniper's hibernation pod! "

[Purple Fiction] - "I'm on it, drop the liquid! "

After turning her back to a massive metallic door, she quickly activated her laser axe and sliced the door lock open. In an abrupt entrance, Elie made her way inside the darkroom that was Sniper's office. After rapidly running to the desk, she pressed on a piece of the wall that opened a small entrance on the desk. In a hurry, she inserted the Australium capsule inside the opening which leads to the 547th floors underground.

The 3 men group soon made their way to the elevator and started their descent to the underworld. After a 2 minutes waits, the men appeared in front of the dark and grim hallways, where one of the doors contained Sniper's still alive frozen body.

The door of the hibernation chamber was already open, the men were one step too late.

[Executioner 1] (in frustration) - "God damn it! You! Go check it out! "

[Executioner 2] (surprised) - "Me? Please don't do this to me! "

[Executioner 3, after igniting his axe] (angerly) - "If you keep on bitching about it, I will make sure to silence your once and for all! "

[Executioner 2] (in fear) - "Alright... I... I'll go... "

After making his entrance, the executioner quickly realized a human presence beside him. In fear, the executioner turned his head, facing his left, only to see a tall figure in front of him. Jumping in shock, the executioner kneeled to the ground begging for forgiveness.

[Sniper] - "Hey! Are you all alright? "

[Executioner 2] (in fear) - "Please forgive me, my lord, I didn't mean to disturb you! "

[Sniper] - "Why are you calling me my lord? Who are you? What is this place? "

[Executioner 2] (in confusion) - "Wha... what? Is this a test, my lord? "

[Sniper] - "Seriously, what is this place? What's going on here? Why is this chamber so dark? "

[Executioner 1] - "What's going on here? "

[Sniper] - "Hello good sir, could you have the kindness of telling where is this place? "

[Executioner 3] - "What is he saying? "

[Executioner 1] - "You don't need to test our loyalty, lord Sniper! We are 100% loyal executioners at your service. "

[Sniper] - "Test your loyalty? What do you mean? I'm just a man going to my marriage. "

[Executioner 3] - "What marriage? "

[Sniper] - "My name is Charles R. Mundy, I'm currently 20 years old and I was driving to my marriage with miss Evelynn. What is this place? I'm I a prisoner? What do you guys want from me? "

[Executioner 1] - "I think he has a memory loss. "

[Executioner 3] - "I couldn't agree more, do it! "

With a nod of the head, the executioner lifted his axe toward Sniper's throat.

[Sniper, while backing from the executioner] (in fear) - "We can talk about this, please don't kill me, gentlemen! "

[Executioner 1] - "Shut up! Let's get this over with, you foolish man. If you haven't lost to Mike, we wouldn't even have this opportunity. Your failure caused your ultimate fate! "

The word "Mike" Suddenly sounded like an echo inside Sniper's mind. Everything came back to him in a single instant. He remembers everything, the hate, the rage, the anger, the disappointment, the betrayal, the moments and most importantly, the humiliation.

The look of an innocent man suddenly disappeared from his face. Instead, a grim and murderous look appeared inside his eyes. The years of bloodshed and murder that made up his personality slowly came back to him. The thirst for revenge and the death wish of the three traitors in front of him took over his mind.

"What has become of the perfect world he built? " "What during my slumber caused those men to d.e.s.i.r.e my death? " "AND WHERE IS MIKE!!!! "

[Sniper, suddenly] - "Maybe you wanna explain to me why are you committing treason? "

[Executioner 1, holding his attack] - "Huh? "

[Executioner 3] (yelling) - "Cut him already! "

The executioner, after hearing the order, lifted once again his axe to deliver a strike toward Sniper's head.

In a loud sound, the executioner's head flew up in the air with blood painting the chamber red. Inside the crimson of bloodstain, another puddle of fluid added itself to the mix. Another one of the executioners died after having his body dissected in half by Sniper's power. Sniper's crystal glowed with a hellish red colour, filled with rage and revenge. The 3rd executioner quickly made a run for his life. But before he could run far, his eye popped out of his eye socket as his whole body was crushed from the inside. The silence of the hallways drowned the atrocious screams of pain.

Sniper slowly walked out of the chamber covered in gore with a psychotic look on his face.

[Sniper] (crying in rage) - "MIIIIIIIIKE!!!!! "

*Inside the control room

Elie stood by the camera, still surveilling any suspicious act of treason against Sniper.

All of a sudden, the room door slid open. Sniper entered followed by Judge, his secretary and Mazzatello.

[Sniper] - "Close the door, please. "

Mazzatello quickly shut the door firm and stood by the entrance without a word.

[Sniper] - "Since you are the one I trust, I want to have some quick info about the world's current status. "

[Judge] - "CR-455 has made everything into a pure nightmare... And most importantly, he kept you hidden from our knowledge! If it wasn't for that bastard, we could have resurrected your majesty sooner. "

[Sniper] - "Answer my question, please, mister Judge. "

[Mazzatello] - "My lord, CR-455 has separated the world into many pieces and gave them to the many mafia bosses that allied with our cause. "

[Sniper] - "You may continue, Mazzatello. "

[Mazzatello] - "As you wish my lord... CR-455 has divided the current Talon territories into 12 different fractions. Our current territory only includes; China, Nepal, Mongolia, South Russia, North and South Korea and part of West India. "

[Sniper] - "What are the other lands' status and how's our military power? "

[Mazzatello] - "Our military is in ruins and the other bosses mostly have our past military assets as their own. "

[Judge] - "My lord, what would be your next actions to lead us out of this misery? "

[Sniper] - "There is nothing we need to do. "

[Judge] - "Wha... but sir! "

[Sniper] - "Overwatch will be picking up the divided territories one per one and we only have to rebuild ourselves. Every time Overwatch takes over a boss's land, we strike and regain the area from the weakened forces of Overwatch. We let them fight the war while we stay neutral and influence the people. "

[Judge] - "What a genius plan, my lord! "

[Sniper] - "Now, Judge, you will be the new leader of our military. "

[Judge] - "Are you sure about this, sir? I don't know if I can handle such responsibility. "

[Sniper] - "I order you to do so because I trust your judgement. And you, Mazzatello, I want you and "La Squadra del Divino servo" to hunt and kill every man infidel to our cause or corrupt inside our current territory. Finally, Judge, I want the executioner squads to scout and keep a close eye on the other bosses outside our territory. "

[Elie] - "I'm truly grateful to see you safe and sound, I live for this cause we all fight. "

[Sniper] - "As for your bravery, I will reward you the position of the Purgatory's guardian. "

[Elie] - "I will take it, my lord! "

[Sniper] - "I have plans to execute but for now, something matters more than everything else... "

[Judge] - "Which is... my lord? "

[Sniper] - "Mike! "

*Inside the intensive care unit back inside Overwatch's main cruiser

Mike laid on the operation table, Bernhardt was the only medic working on his case. Kadyn and the rest sat outside, waiting for good news about Mike's condition. Dane was inside his lab searching for the proper materials to repair a medigun used by the medic to heal Mike's injuries.

Inside, Bernhardt operated on Mike's c.h.e.s.t by trying to put back the broken bones.

[Bernhardt] - "Um... Bones... rib cage bones... "

[Bernhardt, after collecting some destroyed pieces of rib bone] - "Oh... this does not look good... um... wait there is something I just realized... "

[Bernhardt, talking to himself] - "Wait... the medigun does not allow bones to grow back, so... DAMN! If... If... "

Behind the door, Kadyn, who waited in worry and fear heard Bernhardt's loud bragging. By approaching her ear to the metal door, she tried, in a desperate attempt to hear some good news about her husband.

[Bernhardt] - "If bones don't grow back with the medigun then that means the skull doesn't grow back either. "

Kadyn opened her eyes wide in shock, believing that Mike's skull was destroyed but kept on listening through the door.

[Bernhardt] - "If skull doesn't grow back then I wonder if the brain grows back... "

Kadyn, after hearing the words out of Bernhardt's mouth, fell to the ground in a panic attack. With a few rapid and difficult breaths of air, she looked down on the ground in fear and horror.

[Aleksei] - "OMG, what happened to her?! "

Quickly, the people around her gathered around to help her in her distress.

[Dane, after arriving at the scene] - "What the... what's going over here, fellas? "

[Kadyn, while crying] - "Mike! He's dead! "

[Dane] (surprised) - "What? "

[Kadyn, while sobbing) - "Bernhardt said that his head was in a total mess. "

[Dane] - "Ok, wait here! "

Dane advanced toward the doors and pushed them open in a single shot.

Bernhardt was picking up pieces of broken bones inside Mike's c.h.e.s.t.

[Dane] - "What in Sam Hill were you thinking? Why did you say that he was dead? "

[Bernhardt] - "You know the medigun, it couldn't heal bone injuries. "

[Dane] - "And? "

[Benrhardt] - "So I thought that if it couldn't heal his ribs then it couldn't possibly heal someone's skull and brain... "

[Dane] (frustrated) - "What the... What the actual heck would that have to do with Mike's case? "

[Bernhardt] - "It's just a theory, you know... "

[Dane, while putting his hand on his face] - "Jesus, just get back to work... "

*Later that night

Mike suddenly woke from his sleep on his bed. A sharp abdominal pain was rapidly felt as he gets up

from his pillow. Kadyn slept beside him wrapping herself around his body, left arm and leg. In a smooth and caring fashion, the young man slowly c.a.r.e.s.sed the girl's head with the palm of his hand.

He knows that the nightmares are over and CR-455 died. His tense and worried face gradually turned into one smiling with passion and relieve.

[Mike, in a whisper] - "I guess everything's over now... "

A small light glowed in the dark; it was Kadyn's green eyes in the darkness of the room. The girl looked at Mike with a grin.

[Kadyn] - "You did it... We can finally live together in peace, right? "

[Mike] - "Heh! Yeah! It's over... All of it... "

[Kadyn, while putting her palm on Mike's face] - "Darling, you still own me something now that we are together. "

[Mike] (confused) - "Which is? "

In a passionate and warm kiss, Kadyn and Mike shared a long embrace that finally sealed the two's eternal marriage.

[Kadyn] (shy) - "I know you would come back for me and you did. "

[Mike] - "Yeah, I did... And I will always be here for you! "

The two both laid back in bed and covered themselves inside the blanket.

[Mike, in his mind] - ("We are all slave to fate and the unknown. In my family, a Mundy must always prove that he or she is worth the name, the name that symbolized precision in life. Because, in the end, missing a single move or a single word could cost you everything. Today may be my first trial but it would not be my last. A curse of my bloodline that has been passed through generations. In the end, I learnt to accept who I am, I was born inside this family, so I must adapt myself to survive and not choosing to die as a result. The road is still long, I live as the man wanted by the world, I am Mike and I choose to be a fighter, a survivor. ")
