Crystalline Universe: Team Fortress 2/ Overwatch

Paxton stared, through the window, at the planes that are slowly taking off the ground. He was nervous for while before a sudden flash of light from afar abruptly caught his attention.

[Azur] - "Hey! Are you coming? "

[Paxton] - "Yeah, coming. "

The two made their way through the long lines of people waiting for their flight and arrived at one of the coffee stores. It was very crowded but through careful observation, Azur was able to spot Darlynn waving at her.

Azur and Paxton grabbed their seats and settled by the table where Darlynn and the rest of the team were waiting.

[Karson] - "Who is he? "

[Azur] - "A friend of mine. He offered to help us with our job. "

[Karson] - "What did I tell you about strangers! We are highly wanted by the Divine Servants for killing their men. What if you attract their attention toward us? "

[Paxton] - "Hey, bro, trust me. I ain't have nothing to do with them. "

[Karson] - "That's not the bloody point! My point is that the more people we have with us, the more lead they will have to our damn location. "

[Paxton] - "The Divine servants only has 2 actives members left. They will mostly never come personally because of their allegiance to lord Sniper. Their head, Mazzatello is a minion of lord Sniper so he will never personally come to deal with you. The other one, Scruoiamento, is a scientist, so she will mostly never be in combat. "

[Karson] - "How in god's name do you know all this? "

[Paxton] - "I'm a high-ranking class-1 executioner. I have access to confidential information from the association. "

[Mergiann] - "How can we trust you? "

[Azur] - "I trust him! "

The whole table went silent. Mergiann and Karson angrily stared at the pair while Darlynn stared at Paxton in suspicion. The atmosphere was tense as Azur furiously stared back at Karson and Mergiann.

[Paxton] - "Woah! Woah! Guys, come on! Don't be like this. How about I offer you guys some refreshments. "

Paxton rapidly called over the waiter and ordered 5 iced coffee and 5 bowls of ice cream. Later, while Paxton fed a spoon of ice cream to Azur, Karson and Mergiann coldly observed the couple while slurping their ice coffee. Darlynn stayed silent. She was technically stuck in this conflict without the power to do anything. With a little bit of ice cream stuck to her nose, Paxton went ahead and licked it off. The 2 laughed and shared a little kiss.

[Karson and Mergiann] - "*grunt* "

[Karson] - "Where u going? "

[Mergiann] - "The bathroom! "

Paxton observed Mergiann through the corner of his eyes. With the press of a button in his sleeve, the game was up.

11:05 AM

Mergiann entered the bathroom and quickly washed her cherry-red face with water. Mergiann, in an act of frustration, smashed the mirror with her fist.

[Mergiann] - "dieser Dummkopf Azur... She's gonna get us all killed with her reckless decisions. "

The room was empty. Mergiann took a few minutes to calm herself down while the water ran down from the tap into the drain. She took a few deep breaths and was ready to go back to the table.

Before exiting the bathroom, she came across Paxton who blocked her way out of the exit.

[Mergiann] - "What do you want? Move! "

[Mergiann] - "What do you want? Are you insane? "

Mergiann drew out one of her grenades and launched it toward Paxton. Without the slightest of concern, Paxton slammed the grenade into a wall and liquified the bomb before fusing it to the concrete. With nowhere to go, Mergiann knew that she's in a helpless situation.

The time right now is 11:12 AM

11:05 AM

Mergiann got up and left the table in a hurry. There was a cold silence amongst the rest of the people sitting around. Her abrupt movement caught the attention of bystanders who stared confusingly at the 4 of them. The 4 of them decided to keep their silence until the attention died off.

3 minutes later, after becoming more and more worried about Mergiann, Karson stood up.

[Karson] - "Imma go check on her. "

Darlynn rapidly stood up and held Karson by his arm.

[Darlynn] - "She's in the girl's bathroom, let me go instead. "

11:08 AM

Darlynn marched toward the lavatory where she suddenly came across Paxton standing by the vending machine about 20 m from the bathrooms. Confused, she ran toward Paxton, who, upon seeing her, ran in the opposite direction. Darlynn chased him through the crowd of people who passed by. Pushing the people aside with brute force, Paxton kept running up until he found an empty store where he could find refuge.

When Darlynn entered the store with all her rapier, the store owner was shocked as he thought it was a robbery.

[owner] - "Take everything you need! Don't hurt me! "

[Darlynn] - "Have you seen a man enter your store? Where is he? "

Before the owner could say anything, Paxton appeared from the pile of clothes where he was hiding and stole Darlynn's rapier. Darlynn turned her head only to see the crystals on Paxton's arms glow. Realizing that he was using an ability to attack her, Darlynn jumped away from her current location before an invisible object pierced a huge hole into the bench she was standing in front of.

[Darlynn] - "You scoundrel, I knew you were not on our side! What have you done to Azur? "

[Paxton] - "I didn't do anything! "

Through a few well-positioned backflips, Darlynn managed to avoid all of Paxton's attacks before stopping by the wall. Darlynn stared at Paxton's confident eyes and with her hands, touched around herself. Suddenly, she realized that a bunch of sharp objects were closing in on her.

[Paxton] - "It's over Darlynn, I won! You can't do anything without your rapier! "

[Darlynn] (with a smirk) - "You think my ability is this limited? ...Or useless like yours? "

Darlynn suddenly grabbed a metal club off a broken chair and spun the thing around her. And Paxton knows it, his crystal showed cracks as the spikes around Darlynn were all destroyed. Darlynn then started to advance toward him while cutting down all the spikes that grew out of the ground.

[Paxton] - "IMPOSSIBLE! How can you see them? How can you use a random metal club as a weapon? "

[Darlynn] - "My team killed many executioners... "

Darlynn slashed through one of the spikes growing toward her with ease.

[Darlynn] - "...More powerful than you... "

Without looking, Darlynn cut down another spike coming toward her behind her back.

[Darlynn] - "...More dangerous than you... "

Paxton, out of fear, stood there without knowing what to do. Piss gradually soaked his pants.

[Darlynn] (face to face with Paxton) - "...and smarter than you. "

Paxton dropped Darlynn's rapier and ran away like a scalded cat.

It's currently 11:20 AM

Darlynn soon came across the coffee store where the rest of the team sat. To her surprise, Paxton is sitting beside Azur just like before she left. In a fury of rage, Darlynn jumped in and grabbed Paxton by the collar.

[Darlynn] - "And you dare come back here? I'm going to cut the shit out of you, you scoundrel! "

[Azur] - "Darlynn! What the f.u.c.k are you doing? "

[Darlynn] - "This piece of shit attacked me earlier while I was on my way to check on Mergiann. "

[Azur] - "The f.u.c.k do you mean? He was with us all this time! "

Darlynn, confused, turn her regard toward Karson, who also approved Azur's claim. After seeing that Paxton's pants were clean without a stench of pee, she released him with a baffled expression on her face.

[Darlynn] - "What the hell? "

[Paxton] - "We are surely under attack. To explain this, I think our attacker comes from "La Squadra Operativa segreta" I know that there are 2 brothers in there who share similarities to my appearance. "

[Darlynn] - "What about Mergiann? Did she return? "

[Karson] - "Not yet! Didn't you check on her? "

[Darlynn] - "No, I was attacked! "

Karson's face went white, he knew that something bad must have happened to Mergiann.

11:23 AM

Karson ran into the woman's bathroom to find the place shattered by an explosion but without any trace of Mergiann. He rapidly turned around and exited the lavatory in search of clues but instead, he saw Paxton afar, with a wounded leg. Puzzled, Karson marched toward the man only for him to start running in the opposite direction. Convinced that he was responsible for anything that happened to Mergiann, Karson followed him all the way until he found himself inside a jet bridge.

To his surprise, Paxton was standing in front of him. He had no leg wound like previously and he was clearly looking for a fight with his stance.

[Karson] - "You dirty prick, what have you done to Mergiann? "

[Paxton] - "She's fine, you don't need to worry about her. "

[Karson] - "I knew you were suspicious from the start and clearly, you are another one of those dirty assassins sent after us. "

Karson advanced toward Paxton with his ability activated while Paxton cracked his head and fingers in preparation. 3 seconds later, Karson was thrown into the airplane the bridge was connected to. With blood in his mouth, Karson stood up and prepared to fight.

Paxton charged at Karson and threw a punch, which Karson dodge by moving to the side. Paxton rapidly threw another strike at Karson but when he tried to defend, he was still hit by it and was sent flying into the seats and destroyed a few aisles of them before coming to a stop.

[Paxton] - "I heard the legend of you and your team killing divine servants but in the end, legends are fake. You are weaker than I expected. "

Karson stood up and threw a punch in the air at Paxton's direction. Paxton quickly moved to the side and dodged Karson's aftershock ability.

[Karson] - "Impossible! How do you know? "

[Paxton] - "Unlike others, I acknowledge my opponents before going in a fight against them. This is why I never lose. This is why your luck has run out, rat! "

Paxton dashed forward and launched a punch to Karson's left but when Karson tried to block it, an energy blast came from his right and knocked him out of the plane. After hitting the ground, Karson's felt that his body is no longer able to move and before he knows it, he fell out of consciousness.

The current time is 11:34 AM

11:24 AM

Mergiann gradually dragged herself to the rest of the group, who was shocked to see her in such a state. Upon seeing Paxton, Mergiann reached out to her grenades and pulled one of them out.

[Mergiann] - "You bastard! You are the enemy! "

[Azur] - "What? He was with us this whole time! "

[Darlynn] - "No! No! Mergiann! Stop! He's not who you think he is, it's the wrong Paxton. "

[Mergiann] - "Imma blow yer head off, you Mutter Ficker! "

[Darlynn] - "Calm down, Mergiann! it's not him! I also had this happening to me earlier, it's not him, those people who attacked us are different Paxtons. "

[Mergiann] - "Why should I trust this dog! "

[Azur] - "Calm yourself down! You are a mess! "

[Paxton] - "No, no. I will prove to you guys that I'm on your side. "

Paxton handed over to Mergiann a small device that contained a set of codes.

[Paxton] - "This is the access key to Talon's central computer. It contains all the information you might ever need. Even all of Talon's secrets are accessible through this key. "

Darlynn stared at the key for a moment and after close analysis, she confirmed Paxton's claim.

[Paxton] - "How did you manage to escape? "

[Mergiann] - "Sigh... I detonated a bomb on the wall, which injured both me and him. Due to my small size, I was able to crawl out of the bathroom through under the bathroom stalls. I was badly injured and when I heard that he was coming toward me, I had to find myself a place to hide. After that I lost him, I finally came out and dragged myself back to you guys... by the way, where is Karson? "

[Darlynn] - "He went searching for you but he hasn't returned yet. "

[Paxton] - "Something must have happened. We should go search for him. "

Without a word, Mergiann, helped by Darlynn, already started walking. Azur quietly turned toward Paxton and stared him in the eyes.

[Azur] - "What enemy are we facing? Why is everyone so paranoid about you? "

[Paxton] - "Our enemy knows about us. Don't trust everything you see, only trust what you feel. "

As they walked away, ominous eyes are already watching them from afar.
