Cultivation Through Artifacts

Chapter 153: Surprising End

"He is definitely a Summoner! Those two Beasts on his side are one of the rarest creatures that a Summoner can summon!"

Several spectators instantly recognized the Beasts on the guy's side as those creatures were considered one of the most hazardous predators a Summoner can ask for, Sunray Lions.

Sunray Lions were Beasts that were capable of emitting such a burning force through their pores that the proximity around them would melt into boiling mass, demolishing everything in a wink!

Their claws were capable of tearing even the hardest alloy into pieces like they were just tofu and their eyes could even see in pitch-black darkness as clearly as it would at daytime!

Its physical strength was able to rival anyone a Stage above it while its speed could reach the speed of light once on the Ninth Cultivation Stage!

If one Cultivator was unfortunate enough to cross paths with such a Beast, the only thing they could wish for was a merciless death unless they were not strong enough to kill it as escape was simply impossible.

But what shocked many was not that the guy had such a great and hazardous Beast, but the fact he controlled 2!

As everyone knows, Summoners can have more summons in their lifetimes but they can only summon only one Beast, thus seeing that the guy was able to summon 2 was something exceedingly startling and alarming!

"Unfortunately he is still on the Second Cultivation Stage. Maybe if it were the Third or even the Fourth, he could have had a slight chance to win," exclaimed Connor calmly but to his surprise, Dorothea opposed his idea.

"You maybe be right, but let's not forget about several crucial points before judging. First and foremost, that girl is injured while her power should be around only 40% of her real strength. Also, she is currently in a danger zone where her strength and options are restricted even more. I even bet she can't use her golden eye again as it would only kill her."

Dorothea's statement made Connor realize just how stupid he was and nodded, "That is true. Then what do you think, will she die? Though, that would be ridiculous in my opinion."

"I wouldn't say the definition ridiculous is right to use here as her condition is already dire, but dying at the hands of a Second Stage Cultivator is indeed a shame. But again, considering her situation and the number of enemies she has, her chances for survival are quite slim, let it be against a Second Stage Cultivator or not," replied Dorothea, her gaze as calm as ever.

Inside the Digital World, Seila stared at the guy calmly, thinking of a way to get out of this tight situation without dying.

However, no matter how hard she tried to come up with a solution as there seemed to be none. She was simply cornered and trapped, without any possible way for her to escape.

She couldn't use her Mirror Sight as it was damaged, she couldn't use her World Devouring Strike as her World Essence didn't get recovered enough and she couldn't even use her Domain as it wouldn't help her at all.

"Fucking hell!" cursed Seila, but thanks to the powerful gust of wind around her, her voice was muted.

"Haha, such an easy enemy. The only thing I need to do is wait here and watch as she dies. Simply perfect!" laughed the guy loudly, even showing his arrogance by sitting down below a tree on his side.

But who would have thought that just as he did, a crescent arc appeared out of nowhere, cutting his body in half, causing his carcass to fell onto the ground in two different halves!

The guy had no chance to realize what happened much less screaming up from the pain that appeared inside his body before his vision turned black.

"!?"

Every spectator looked at this scene with a wide-open mouth and watched as a girl appeared out of nowhere, her right hand firmly holding onto a crimson red dagger.

"What? Killed? Where did she come from?" these types of questions appeared inside everyone's mind as none of them noticed the girl's approach at all.

She wasn't even visible on the screen when she killed the guy as if she just popped out of thin air!

But even before others could have come up with some sort of explanation, the girl's body vanished once again, her gaze already fixed on Seila's figure on the bridge.

"How can she just simply disappear into thin air without any sign? The map clearly shows she is there but she is not! Not even her presence can be felt, how is this possible?!"

"What kind of Talent is that?" Khal seemed to be surprised by this as he stared at the screen with widened eyes.

He had already finished talking with Theon about Martial Arts hence his focus was already fixed on the end just as anyone else's and was surprised to see the mysterious girl's power.

"That is quite a powerful Body Modifying Talent. I have never seen this type before, not in my years of cultivation." suddenly from behind his back, Logan's voice sounded, startling both him and Theon on his side.

"Body Modifying Talent?" asked Khal but soon realized he met with a Cultivator with such a Talent before. It was the guy who had huge spikes coming out of his elbows who he killed by tricking him.

"A Talent that can make the individual completely invisible? That's not quite, but extremely powerful!" said Khal, his eyes trying to figure out the girl's location.

Seila did the same or at least tried to but failed miserably. No matter which direction she glanced at, she was incapable of discerning the enemy's position.

Only the red dot on the map helped her but because it showed she was somewhere in a hundred-meter radius before her, its help was useless.

However, now that her way toward the section was cleared and she was free to leave the bridge, Seila raised her sword and began to walk forward.

With slow and cautious strides, Seila checked her surroundings for one last time and stepped foot onto the ground.

But exactly as she did, a flicker appeared on her side, cutting her other arm off too with relatively easily!

Swish!

Just how it happened with the guy before, the girl materialized out of thin air, her short dagger only inches away from Seila's throat.

However, in contrast to the previous moment, this time the girl's presence could easily be discerned, though some wished not to as their blood froze right in their veins.

"Sixth Cultivation Stage... She reached the Cultivator Level!!"

A huge uproar broke out from every corner of the Southern Continent, as this was something no one would have imagined to happen.

What was the Sixth Stage? A bottleneck that only those were capable of breaking that opened one of their sealed Essence Path in their bodies! Achieving that was harder than finding a needle in the middle of hay!

"You... Who are you?" asked Seila, completely ignoring the fact that her arm was bleeding rapidly, sending her soon into her inevitable death.

The girl before her however just simply smiled and without answering her swung her dagger, its blade cleanly slicing her head off from her neck.

BAM!

Right in that instant, on everyone's screen a huge 'WINNER!' sign appeared, indicating that after more than 3 days of straight hell, the Thousand Life Tournament finally found its final victor!

Khal and the others upon seeing this thought that they can finally leave and earn their rewards, but who would have expected that suddenly the scenery around them twisted before finding themselves in the middle of a huge platform, with David, Madam Snow, and Master Adam standing straight right before them!

"What is the meaning of this?" asked Connor, his face holding deep shock upon seeing that not only Khal, but every participant that died was well and alive without any exception!

And it wasn't only him who appeared to be speechless but almost every Cultivator on the Southern Continent stared at this sighted with wide open jaws, unknown how they should react at this.

Only Jas and a few seemed to smile with an unnoticed smile, seemingly as if they have already known about this outcome way before the tournament.
