Ye Fan and He Han both froze.

He Han’s hand was on Ye Fan’s shoulder right now.

His palm was warm and though separated by the thin layer of clothes, the warmth spread to Ye Fan.

Ye Fan’s long hair was scattered behind her back. He Han’s fingers ran through her hair ends.

He Han’s breath sprinkled by Ye Fan’s ears.

Ye Fan seemed to be able to hear his steady heartbeat.

Ye Fan immediately stood up straight in the next second and He Han’s fingers brushed through her long hair.

Seeing that He Han had carried Dudu tightly, she let go of her hands on Dudu.

She softly said, “Sorry.”

He Han’s gaze darkened as he stared silently at Ye Fan’s action. He didn’t respond.

Dudu originally fell quite hard but his attention was shifted by He Han and Ye Fan’s sudden actions.

Dudu widened his pair of round eyes and looked between the two.

“Mommy, uncle, you reacted so quickly.”

Dudu was nested in He Han’s arms as he looked at Ye Fan.

He Han inspected Dudu’s body and asked, “Did you get hurt anywhere?”

The pain on his arm became more distinct. Dudu pouted but he didn’t cry.

Dudu extended his fair arm.

“Dudu is in pain, mommy blow on it for me.”

Ye Fan and He Han both moved closer at the same time, blowing on Dudu’s arms.

Because of their rushed action, the two bumped their foreheads together.

Their warm skins stuck close to each other.

Ye Fan backed up again. He Han also froze.

Dudu blinked his eyes. He could feel something was off with the atmosphere here.

“Mommy, uncle, what happened to you guys?”

Before He Han could talk, Ye Fan said, “Dudu, didn’t you want to share your toy with uncle?”

As expected, Dudu’s attention was on the toy again.

Ye Fan walked to the side and picked up the scattered toys, placing it on the living room table.

He Han carried Dudu over.

Ye Fan slightly tilted her head but her gaze wasn’t actually on He Han.

While cleaning up the sofa, Ye Fan said, “He Han, you can go ahead and play with Dudu. I’m going to prepare lunch.”

There was no way for Ye Fan not to prepare lunch for He Han when he chose to come at this time.

Even if He Han didn’t eat, Dudu needed to.

Ye Fan walked towards the kitchen after saying this.

He Han glanced at Ye Fan’s slightly rushed footsteps, a smile floating on his face.

“What does Dudu want to show me?”

He Han started to focus on playing with Dudu.

Dudu seemed to be showing his treasures, lining up his toys.

He introduced each toy to He Han.

Dudu named all of his toys.

He Han had a great memory. He remembered everything after Dudu said it once.

No matter which toy Dudu was referring to later on, he was able to accurately state the toy’s name.

Dudu liked Uncle He Han even more, though Ye Fan didn’t know.

Ye Fan was in the kitchen and she carelessly turned the stove on.

Laughter spread nonstop from the living room. Dudu was more happy than usual.

After introducing the toys, Dudu tugged on He Han’s hand and introduced him to his most treasured little goldfish.

“Little fatty, dot, this is my uncle.”

Dudu’s smile never left him.

So strange. Why did he like this uncle that much?

After a while, Ye Fan placed her dishes on the dining table.

She exclaimed towards Dudu’s direction, “Dudu, time to eat.”

Dudu tugged on He Han’s sleeves and ran over.

“Mommy, carry me.” Dudu skillfully extended his hand and wanted Ye Fan to carry him.

Ye Fan smiled and bent over, preparing to carry Dudu.

Who knew that He Han extended his hands over first.

It was unclear whether He Han did this intentionally or not, but the two’s fingertips touched one another.

“Let me do it.”

He Han stared at Ye Fan’s eyes and smiled.

He carried Dudu up and placed him in a toddler’s seat.

Dudu enjoyed eating so he was fine with whoever carried him.

Dudu obediently grabbed his children’s chopsticks. “Time to eat, yay!”

Ye Fan sat by Dudu’s side. Meanwhile, He Han didn’t sit on the seat Ye Fan prepared for him.

He pulled over a seat by Dudu’s side and sat down.

Ye Fan was stunned. She pointed at a seat across from her.

“He Han, it’s better if you sit there. I’m scared that Dudu might influence you.”

He Han’s expression remained unmoved as if he wasn’t the one to do that.

He Han tilted his head and smiled at Ye Fan.

“Ye Fan, I’m not scared of problems.”

After a few pauses, He Han said, “Anyway, it’s not like our first time.”
