Noon the next day......

"What?! The fugitives are back?!

North of Boreas. The voice of a senior Eclerian official ruling the town was ringing in the consul's office in the city of Rotgarten, near the border with the country where the elves lived.

His voice was angry. It's also so angry, so angry that your voice trembles.

"You traitors! He said he gave him special treatment in view of his previous achievements, but if you think the enemy approached you, wrapped your tail around you, and ran away, now you just come back?

Bang!

The senior official stood up as he slammed his desk. And this is what I ask my men, who have come to report the situation.

"Which side did you come back from?"

"Well, that's... I came to make a surrender recommendation..."

…………

"And, Lord Consul...?

"Ku... ku... huhaha!

"Oh, calm down!

"Right... you mean it's on that side... hehe... don't be ridiculous! ♪ Don't!

…………

"Show me! I'll send you home in no time! We've already sent information about the fugitives to the country. Too bad I can't judge myself... well, I'll kill you enough for that!

"... here it is (I want to kill him...)"

Though he didn't put it on his expression, he gripped his fist with grudge, as some of the guide's soldiers seemed to have accumulated dissatisfaction.

He's not the only one. All the Eclerian soldiers who were in Rottgarten seemed unhappy with their superiors. Troopers to the Force Leader. The Troop Leader to the General Manager. The General Manager shall be the General Manager on the other hand. On the other hand, the General Manager is —— like that.

I couldn't be sure who was wrong, but the stress was amplifying among everyone, creating a vicious circle for sure. That and this is also due to the deterioration of the war situation...... Whenever reports of defeat in the battle against the coalition spread, Eccleria's chain of command seemed to propagate not only information, but also stress together.

Originally, the transmission of such stress should be blocked somewhere or damage-controlled so that the overall health of the organization can be maintained, but none of those summoned to this world go into such action because they were relatively young, or because they were floating around because they came to another world... The brakes could not be applied to what should also be termed an unsound tissue.

Conversely, it may be said that those who could hang such brakes were about to disobey, exit the organization and join the coalition forces. Because we can judge the situation, because we are trying to seek salvation outside, thinking that we cannot improve the situation if we continue to stay in the Eclerian army.

Unfortunately, however, the organisational structure within Rotgarten was in a runaway vehicle-like state of letting anger keep stepping on the accelerator of the attack. It was the consul who was at the head of it, even if he was gone —— no, it's going to be about the infinite loop, so let's leave this story at this.

The consul even came to the building that there were returning fugitives. This building is not meant to be an establishment to welcome anyone, it's just a warehouse. Occasionally, it was the place the adventurers and hunters used to handle the demons they had caught.

In front of the entrance to that building, the consul takes a deep breath... I put a grin mask on my face and stepped inside that room.

"Hey! You've come home well, haven't you? Gentlemen! I was worried to hear you were missing. Everybody all right? Are you hurt?

To such a consul, the leader of the fugitive side answers:

"There's no need for bullshit. I'll tell you briefly. We, the Allies, are prepared to protect you and the others of Eccleria--"

"Don't be ridiculous! The good you've done before--"

"-- ready to protect. If you're going to surrender heavily, let's make sure it's not bad. This is a surrender recommendation and a final notice"

Did you feel even more angry at the way the leader of the fugitive, pale and dignified, and the two figures who thought they had come to provide his protection behind them, did not move at all into their own yelling voices--,

"... oh well. Well, then, this is our last call."

—— The consul took the gun out of his nostalgia and pointed it at the leader of the fugitive--,

"Die!

Pun!!

He pulled the trigger without hesitation.

The bullet fired at close range flew at a tremendous rate to the fugitive leader. That bullet, which was over the speed of sound, is sucked into the leader's chest at a speed that is absolutely inevitable, even if there was his escort behind it.

The consul, or the Eclerian soldiers, who were watching the sight, thought:... Oh, one stupid guy died again. And I guess I'll live in my own country again, I guess.

... but in fact, it did not seem to have gone as they had expected.
