Danger Zone
Chapter 119 - Then She Became Rich
Morning came into the house of the man and he was awoken by plates clanging and utensils hitting the table and the kitchen floor.
"Who the fuck is that? And where is that woman?"
He grabbed his gun underneath the coffee table and placed it in between his palm and chest, holding it tightly from his other hand while positioning his forefinger in the trigger.
He walked slowly from the living room as he pointed the gun up north and calmed himself. Wishing in his mind that it was just rats or a cat that got inside of his premises and not a human.
He doesn't want to kill a human. Killing a human was never in his agenda anytime soon. Even if his family does it all the time, he was not one of them.
A black sheep was the thing they called him.
He was nearing his kitchen when he heard a soft humming from the dining room, making him stop from his tracks and pressed his back near the wall that separated the kitchen and the dining room.
He listened to the soft humming as he closed his eyes and waited for the person to stop. He could guaranteed now that it was a woman who was the one rampaging his kitchen.
But it was not just any ordinary woman. It was the same woman that he took from the cold pavement to his house. He sighed and put his gun inside of his coat and fixed his clothes before approaching the woman.
"Ehem."
The woman flinched and turned around, only to see a handsome man in front of him. His dazzling blue eyes were the signature beauty of a European man. His sharp jaw line and chiseled looking chest underneath his clothes send tingles inside of her.
There was something about this man that made her stop from whatever she was doing and just stare.
The man was awkwardly standing there in front of her while she gulped at the sight of a rich gentleman with a deep voice. He cleared his throat again and gulped that big lump inside of his throat.
"Who are you?"
Famous first question. He asked it to her but her beauty is distracting him. Does he really need to know her name when she was this beautiful?
Curly hair, plump lips and beautiful eyes; these were her famous features and the man was taking every bit of detail to himself.
Memorizing everything, so incase that he wanted to see or pursue the woman in their own home. He will know who to look at.
The woman cleared her throat, desperately asking herself whether to answer with her real name or not. But it will just be a waste of opportunity, so she decided to just tell him everything.
"My name is Eleanor Machibach."
His breath hitched and only stared the woman. He personally knew the Machibach family, asking for his help with their son and daughter that has disabilities.
He didn't know that they have another child with no disability at all.
"I am the eldest in the family and the only person who worked because my brother and my sister were both disabled.
But don't be fooled. Not everyone in our area was disabled. Not even my brother and sister."
His mind stopped and felt rage in his system. How can those poor people fool him for money?
He personally hated people like that. All his life, he only gave people what they need but not to this point.
He clenched his fist and the woman only stared at him. He knew now, the meaning of what his father just told him before.
He looked over to the woman and smiled at her. He walked towards her and grabbed her chin.
"Such a beautiful woman with a sharp tongue. How much do you want for me to hire you?"
Eleanor was shocked by the sudden offer. She doesn't know what he meant but money was still money. And she needed every bit of money she can get to push through the day.
"Ten thousand Swiss Franc."
The man leaned back, removed his hand from her chin, sat on the table and stared at her.
"Ten thousand? Isn't that a bit cheap, Missy? You are selling yourself short."
Eleanor stared at him with a smile on her lips. This man was not as easy as he looked.
"I am on my own, good Sir. I have no family anymore. I ran away from home. I don't think my parents would want me back after what I just did."
The man hummed as his voice resonated inside the whole room while Eleanor just waited for the man to even introduced himself or accept her offer.
The man looked back at her and showed her a handsome smile. The one that most princes do in newspaper or in story books.
Something along the lines of a charming smile and something sinister.
"Thirty thousand Swiss Franc, for a job that will require you to go back to your family while working behind their back."
Eleanor looked at him as she tried to reconsider his condition. Going back will give her more pain than anything.
More guilt and the bullying from his family will make her crazy and she might even kill them in the process.
"You will still be sleeping in my home. But you will be working back to your own place."
This was the thing that she is waiting for. Eleanor finally smiled making his heart skip a beat and spoke to him.
"Deal."
The man smiled and stand up from the table and drew his hand towards him. Looking at the woman right now was making him feel vulnerable and excited.
He wants to see what his family and the people will say. Fuck their tradition, he will not marry a gold digger and would rather choose a woman like this lady.
"Vladimir Santoro, first generation."
Eleanor shook his hand when he suddenly twirled her towards his chest and whispered in her ears.
"Let's create a new world where you can rule."
He doesn't know why but he felt like saying it. He must've been a fool, but he doesn't care.
He was a black sheep anyway.
