Danger Zone

Chapter 144 - The Broken Doll

"Daime!"

Aiden wakes up from his deep slumber, sweating all over his face as he looks beside him to see whether Daime is there or not.

Unfortunately, nobody is beside him. Neither Primo nor Daime. He is all alone inside the bedroom. He wipes away his sweat and tries to inhale a deep sigh as he removes the heavy blanket from his body.

"What was that dream? It felt so real."

Aiden heaves another deep sigh before going straight to the bathroom to wash up. He brings his phone with him to listen to any music on his playlist.

He removes all of his clothes and gets inside the tub as turns on the faucet and watches the water filling up the tub.

Seeing the flow of water, Aiden suddenly remembers the time when Daime is still inside the mansion and is playing with Aiden while he is the bath.

He also remembers that Daime is the one who makes his bath all warm and fuzzy.

"Where are you? Where did you go? You promised to never leave me. How can you break such a promise? Daime…"

Aiden sighs as the music flows throughout the bathroom. The first song that plays is the one that he and Primo danced to at the wedding party of his cousin when they still don't know who they are.

The sound of the water rushing through the bath tub is the one making Aiden rethinks of the things that he is not aware of.

Daime's feelings and what he is making him feel every single time that Aiden talks to him. The latter sighs as he puts his hand on the cold water as it fills up all the way to his buttocks.

Tears start to fall when the song shifts to another one that made Aiden remembers Daime's smiles and laughter.

Those airy laughter that made him feels every tingling sensation that he never felt whenever he is with Primo. Those bright smiles that shine even in his darkest days.

Those lovely and random facial expressions that only Daime can give. Aiden is now crying as the song plays in the background.

He remembers that Daime is also the first person to take him on a date without sex afterwards. Oh, that date. Aiden can't still move on of what happened to that date.

He is sure that Daime takes him out to that restaurant on his birthday. He even looks at Daime's phone to check the time since he forgot to bring his own phone.

What if Daime changes the time on his phone to make it look plausible?

It is a possibility but Aiden keeps on denying that fact in the back of his mind. He knows that Daime will never lie to him.

But what if he did?

Aiden lifts his head from his knees when he feels the water rushing out of the tub. He immediately closes the faucet as he leans back to the cold tub and starts to reminisce everything that him and Daime had been through.

He closes his eyes as he tries to relax his mind and thinks of those stolen and missing memories because he is always with Primo.

He sighs as his mind relaxes into the deep ends of his subconsciousness.

"You are relaxing now while the Alpha that you hurt is in the deepest mountains somewhere, trying to survive because of you."

Aiden immediately opens his eyes and shocks to see who is in front of him. It is the same figure that he always sees in his dreams.

The same man who made him realize that Daime's feelings are too superficial yet he just ignores them.

He looks around him to see whether he is tied up somewhere. That's when Aiden notices that the chains are no longer tying him up and suffocating him. They are loosen and are on the ground.

The figure looks at him, straight into his eyes.

"Why are you even here? Why did you choose such a loving person to get hurt like this? Why are you such an asshole?"

Aiden looks at the man, who is sitting in front of him while flipping a pen on his hand. This is the first time that Aiden has seen him.

His eyes have the same color as Aiden and his hair is dark brown. He has a petite body and he has some features that looks exactly like Aiden.

"Who are you?"

The figure chuckles as he stands up and drags his chair towards Aiden's, sitting in front of him with a grin on his face.

"I am the Omega inside of you. The Omega that has been watching and cursing at how stupid you when it comes to making decisions.

The Omega that tries to give you pointers but you never choose to listen to me. The Omega who has been wanting the other Alpha yet you keep choosing the older Alpha.

The Omega that wants to be happy and have a happy life with the one he chooses. The Omega that has been wanting to be loved but you kept on pushing me away and locking me in a cage.

Yes. I am that Omega."

Aiden's eyes widen in surprise as the Omega in front of him leaning forward, almost kissing Aiden on the point of his nose. He breathes in Aiden's scent and frowns.

"You smell like that bad Alpha. I hate your scent."

Aiden glares at the Omega and stands up from the chair where he is sitting, pushing the Omega away and stares darkly at him.

"How dare you say that my Alpha's scent stinks?!"

The Omega then laughs and moves in front to Aiden, staring him into his muddy brown eyes.

"I dare because he is not your Alpha. His hasn't even marked you even after the other Alpha left, why?

Why he still didn't bite you and claim you? What is he hiding? What is he waiting for?"

Aiden can't give him any answer because Aiden, himself, doesn't know the answer to that. The Omega smiles at him as he caresses Aiden's neck, almost giving it a scratch if Aiden did not move away.

The Omega looks at him at the corner of his eyes as he moves away from him before facing him with a slight grin on his face.

"Oh, I have a great news for you. That Alpha that you hurt? He will be coming back soon. Wait for him before getting married, okay?"

After the Omega said that, bright white light shines in front of Aiden, making him squints and looks away. Seconds later, Aiden slowly opens his eyes and finds himself still soak in tub.

He looks around him as the music plays in the background. He sighs and caresses the back of his neck before sighing away.

He shakes his head and finishes washing himself up. When he is trying to put his clothes in, he remembers what the Omega has just told him.

Daime will return soon.

This statement made Aiden excited and immediately wears his clothes and gets out of the room. He runs down the stairs and runs pass by the others who are doing their best to find Daime.

Aiden goes straight to the garden that Daime made for him and looks for those scented flowers that Daime usually offers him.

"Where are they?!"

That's when he realizes one thing that he completely forgets about after he remembers about Daime's return. He stops for a minute to think what is that special thing but his mind if all fuzzy and he can't think straight.

"What is it?! There should be a clue how can I find Daime!"

Grandmama sees Aiden running out of the mansion and into the botanical garden that is named after him. She pulls Primo out from the control room while the other Santoros are looking for Daime.

It has been weeks but Daime hasn't been found. She thinks that maybe Daime has already found dead and unnamed in the middle of mountain where his plane crashes.

She knows about his plan of leaving after learning this information from the Matautias who helped Daime to leave the country undetected by their family.

She sighs as she asks Primo to enter the next room so they can talk about the wedding that should have been take place earlier this week if Daime did not leave the country.

"Grandmama, I already told you before. The wedding will take place when Daime is found. You have eyes, right? Do you see how tired Aiden is from the lack of sleep?

Aren't you aware of this? Stop pretending that you do not care at all, Grandmama. If you for Aiden to say yes to me, he needs to be in a perfect condition before the wedding!"

Grandmama clicks her tongue as she sighs in frustration. She looks away from Primo as she holds her head that is about to explode from all of the things that is happening in their family right now.

Truthfully, Grandmama is already blaming Daime for this catastrophe.

"And please, just please, stop blaming Daime. It is not his fault for whatever is happening. We never knew that Aiden will react like this after finding out that Daime is missing.

So, stop putting pressure on me or anyone in this family especially Aiden."

Primo is about to go out of the room when Grandmama grabs his arm and makes his face her.

"But what about the tradition?"

Her statement made Primo's lips form a thin line. This is when Primo knows that he is about to say something that he doesn't mean to say.
