Danger Zone

Chapter 162 - The Tavern

Mischka is walks along the grassy fields of the tavern. They arrive at the location at roughly two hours from earlier. And his boss is touring Daime around the facility while being followed by the receptionist and the manager that handles the restaurant.

"Bebz!"

Mischka looks behind him and sees his loud mouthed best friend, running towards his direction with a bright smile plastered on her face.

"What do you want now?"

Marlene stops in front of the Omega as she huffs and puffs out the air from running to him. She wipes her sweat away and looks at her best friend.

"Oh, my gosh! Your Alpha is so hunky and so handsome!"

Mischka can only shake his head, his best friend reminding him at her reaction when the Alpha introduces himself to her back at the office.

Marlene squeals like a dying pig earlier, making Daime smile proudly at his introduction. Mischka thinks that her excitement will abruptly stop when their boss said that they will be visiting the tavern later that day.

But unfortunately for him, Marlene asks if she can come as well. Since she might help with re-modeling the whole place when she sees it in person. Daime nods at her suggestion and lets her come with them.

Now, here is Mischka, having his early life crisis of whether he shall abandon his best friend or throw her in a pit of fire in the middle of a ghost town, where she can scream out loud yet no one hears her.

Mischka sighs as he turns away and walk towards the direction of the purple irises and sits on the ground beside it. The Omega caresses the petals of the flower and feels its roughness yet smooth surface.

Marlene stares at her best friend as Mischka leans down and sniffs the scent of the flower. She grabs her phone and snaps a picture of Mischka before posting it on social media with a small caption of "What a lucky Omega".

She puts her phone back and looks around the field of flowers. This place is indeed beautiful, making her wonder why the Santoros doesn't want to buy this place.

But after realizing who the Santoros are, she is quite happy that they didn't. They will just destroy the natural beauty of the place.

Meanwhile, Daime and the other employees are already inside of the tavern, where memories start to flow in Daime's mind as he walks around the hall.

He stops in the middle of it and looks at the ceiling. The golden chandelier is still hanging proudly where the painting that his brother did when they were kids are slowly peeling off of the ceiling.

Daime grumbles under his breath as he looks around once again. The warm and cozy feeling of the tavern is no longer there. He sighs as he whips around to the employees where he can hear them discussing about his knowledge of carrying a dying business.

"Thank you for the tour, Mr. Ramirez. The payment will arrive to your office tomorrow morning. For now, I just want to talk to Marlene about the re-modeling of the tavern."

Mischka's boss, Mr. Ramirez, nods as he walks out of the tavern. He is being followed by other employees of the place as they leave Daime alone inside the restaurant.

"Mr. Ramirez! Sir!"

The stout boss of the property company whips around to see the old manager of the tavern running towards his direction with a concerned face.

"Why didn't the Santoro buy the place? Who is this Mr. Boris?"

The tonsured boss sighs before showing him the papers that Daime signs together with his IDs and other things that are needed to complete the papers of the restaurant.

The manager looks at him, knowing that he can't do anything but accept the new management. He can only sigh and gives the papers back at the man.

"He promised the company that he will not change much to the tavern. So, I assure you that you are going to have the best new management."

With that, the tonsured boss walks away from the property but without calling out Marlene and Mischka who are like kids, playing at the field.

The employees of the tavern goes back to their duties while Marlene and Mischka enters the tavern with smiles on their faces and find Daime looking at a painting inside the mini gallery of the restaurant.

"What are you looking at, Alpha?"

Daime looks at the source of the voice and smiles before looking back at the painting that gives him all of the nostalgic feelings that he is feeling right now.

Mischka gets curious and looks over to the painting and sees this beautiful muddy brown-haired Omega that is looking at him directly in his eyes.

"Wow, he is beautiful."

Mischka looks at Marlene as Daime only chuckles at the Beta's compliment. The person inside the painting is indeed beautiful but Daime is feeling nothing but pain whenever he sees him.

The young Alpha shakes his head before looking at Marlene with the saddest eyes that Mischka has seen him wear.

"Every single painting inside of this mini gallery will go away. Throw them out of sell them for the highest price or even just burn them to the ground. I want new paintings, not these trash."

Marlene and Mischka can feel the harshness in his voice. But there is nothing they can do but follow his instruction. Marlene writes down everything that Daime had said, from the smallest details to the large ones that can basically change the whole tavern in one splash.

"I guess that is everything."

Marlene nods her head. But before going to call her team, she looks at the blank canvas of the mini gallery and she knows that the room is missing something else.

She looks at Daime as she contemplates whether to tell him if he is so sure to throw the beautiful paintings or just follow his instructions.

Marlene is about to ask the Alpha about the mini gallery when Mischka beats her to it.

"What are you going to do with the mini gallery? You can't just leave it empty."

Daime looks at his Omega and smiles. He already knows what he will be doing to the mini gallery. With all of the time that he thinks that Aiden will wait for him but then eventually finds out that he is happily married to Primo, he knows now who he will be putting there for the whole to see.

"Don't worry. I have a plan for that mini gallery. It will soon be filled with new paintings and other stuffs."

Mischka only nods at his response but there is still something that Daime is not telling him and it is all about the mini gallery. He sighs and looks at his best friend as Marlene gives him two thumbs up.

With their business finally done with the tavern, Daime, Mischka and Marlene finally go out of the restaurant. Daime thanks the staff that still works there and tells them that the renovation will start tomorrow.

Mischka watches him interacts with the other before Marlene nudges him to the side, making him look away from Daime and looks at Marlene with a blank expression.

"What do you think he will do with the mini gallery?"

Mischka thinks for a moment before shaking his head. He doesn't know what Daime will do with it and he can't think of any possible displays that the Alpha will put as an attraction.

"That, I don't know and will not ask. This is his business. He can do whatever he wants to do with it."

Marlene just nods at her best friend and goes to her car. She starts the engine and looks at Mischka once again.

"Are you not going back home with me?"

Mischka is about to answer when Daime grabs his waist and pulls him towards the Alpha's direction. Marlene squeals again as the Alpha kisses his Omega's forehead and looks at Marlene.

"You can go home first. Mischka will be coming with me."

And with that, Marlene nods her head before stepping inside her car and drives away. Mischka and Daime are left at the property together with Daime's old employees.

The young Alpha looks at the Omega with a smile on his face. He lifts his chin up and close the distance between them.

The beautiful Omega is staring lovely at Daime while the Alpha engulfs the whole experience with his eyes before taking his luscious lips with a sweet kiss.

Mischka moans as the Alpha deepens the kiss and loops the Omega's arms around him. He loops his own arms around his waist before lifting him up on the trunk of his car.

Kissing while the sun sets over the horizon, Mischka is feeling hotness all over his body. Daime smiles between the kiss before he cuts the kiss off and stares at the light brown eyes of his soon-to-be mate.

"Such a lovely Omega in front of me. I couldn't ask for more."

Mischka blushes at his statement and kisses the latter again. The kiss goes from vigorous to sweetness, giving more room to breathe and savor the kiss that is happening right now.

The Omega soon pulls away and looks at the Alpha in front of him. He wonders what did he do in his past life to meet someone like him.

And as the night comes in, the Alpha carries him down to the ground before opening the car door for him and Mischka sitting down at the passenger seat.

Daime walks over to his seat and enters the car. They stare shyly at each other, knowing that tonight could be another night of fun and excitement, on the bed sheet where Mischka will scream the Alpha's name once again.
