Danger Zone

Chapter 63 - What Happened?

Daime is walking along the hallways of St. Claire's Hall when he suddenly felt vibrations in one of his pockets.

He stops for a minute and grabs his phone. He looks to whomever texted him and questions his sanity when he saw Primo's name.

"Am I dreaming or hallucinating? Today is not that day, right?"

He opens the notification from his cousin after unlocking his phone and reads the message with his eyes.

Daime frowns while reading the message. He never thought his cousin would be asking him for help since Primo usually does it on his own.

It is unusual for him to ask Daime for a favor or a request. He stares at the message before his phone vibrates once again.

This time, Primo is calling him.

"He-"

"You got the message right? Now, where is it?"

Daime's mind stops for a while before Primo's message came through.

"Oh yeah, sorry. It was by the shelf near the bathroom's door."

Primo said his thanks and drops the call. Daime stares at his phone as he furrows his brow in confusion.

"What in the world is happening?"

Curiosity hits him like Truck-kun, so he decides to go home and see for himself as to what Primo is up to.

He just wishes that it is not something as murderous as it sounds. He runs towards the gates of the university and walks passed through sea of students as they flood the restaurants nearby.

He climbs up the stairs of the overpass and down to the other side of the street. He speed-walks the pedestal lane as he reaches to the condominium where he, Primo and their other cousin is living.

The guard of the bank near their condo greets him with his usual smile, despite the hotness that surrounds the village where their place is located, that guard is still smiling at his brightest.

Daime nods at his direction and immediately rummages his bag for the keys that could open the back door.

Daime sighs as he enters the back door and places the keys on the kitchen tops before going straight to the living room.

His mind stops when he heard a silent hiss coming from the living room. He freezes and could not think of what to do next.

But because of his curiosity, he peeks from the kitchen to see who the person is. He sees Primo bending down to the ground and it made him blushes.

"Are they doing sex? At this hour? In the middle of the day?"

Daime peeks again and his eyes widen when he sees Aiden sitting on the couch while his head is rolling to the back.

Daime unintentionally shrieks with what he witnessed and made the two flinch in surprise.

"Fucking make a sound when you enter from the back, please!"

Primo's deep baritone voice made Daime flinches away as he looks away from them.

"Wha-What are you g-guys doing?!"

Primo looks at his cousin for a second before realizing what he meant. He looks at Aiden who is blushing profusely as he stares to whatever position they are in.

"Shut up. It's not what you think!"

Daime looks back at Primo to see that whatever he thinks is not what they are doing. He notices the bandages, the flying cotton balls, and the gauze pads that were waiting on the center table.

"What the hell happened to you?"

Daime said with concern in his voice. He walks over to where Primo and Aiden are and stares at the bleeding arms and the busted lips that Aiden have.

"Who the fuck did this to you? Your sister will kill us if she sees you right now."

Daime's voice rings inside the whole house, probably waking all of the stray cats that roam around their backyard.

Aiden sheepishly smiles as he stares at Primo, asking for help because apparently Daime's face is fuming in anger and he is scared of him.

"Calm down. You can't even hurt the perpetrator."

Daime is becoming more suspicious that Primo might know something about what happened to Aiden.

The latter is about to ask them again when his phone vibrates, indicating a call. The caller ID shows up and it made Daime groans in frustration. He doesn't know what to tell the caller with whatever questions she would want to ask.

"If it is Cassie, please tell her that I am with you guys."

Aiden's voice is trembling as Primo cleans his wounds as gentle as possible while Daime answers Cassie's call.

The latter presses the call button and immediately says that Aiden is with them before hanging up as fast as he can. He puts his phone on the kitchen top and goes to where the two are.

He picks up the dirty cotton balls and the other things that Primo pull out of the first aid kit and throws them at the trash where they belonged.

He sits beside Aiden who is hissing as the damp cotton presses to his wounded knee cap.

"So, what really happened? I mean, who did this to you?"

His voice became more restrained and stern that it made Aiden shivers down his spine. Aiden flinches making him jolt away from Daime but right in the way where the damped cotton is.

He hisses so loud that it sounded like a moan that made the two cousins stop from whatever they are doing and looks at Aiden's direction.

Aiden's closes his eyes too much that he can't see the reaction that the Santoros are having. He stops hissing when he felt the heavy air that is eliciting from the two men who are just staring at them.

"What?"

Daime and Primo blink away as Primo clears his throat, giving Daime a sign that he needs to do something. Daime wanted to laugh but he can't because Primo might kick him.

"What's wrong, Primo?"

Aiden's voice made Primo stops on his movement as he tries to escape from him. Primo just shakes his head and went directly to the bathroom.

When his cousin is gone, Daime laughs out loud. His laughter is airy and filled with lovely emotions that even Aiden can't explain. It was an experience that Aiden wants to tally more.
