Danger Zone
Chapter 78 - The Void
"She is dead? What a waste of time."
Grandmama scoffs as she drinks her morning coffee, looking outside the clouds before smiling to herself.
"Get ready, boys. We are going to Pampanga, to visit the others."

Drax starts the van's engine as he waits for Daime while the latter locks their back door. They are both nervous of what would happen the moment Grandmama steps inside their house.
They both left Aiden and Primo sleeping in the bed. Last night's talk takes a toll on their energy. It is a heavy subject to talk about.
With Primo's usual confidence and the other two's nervousness, they can't say that Primo's suggestion of what to do after finding out that Grandmama will be arriving today is a success. Anything can happen at this point.
But the two of them both know that Grandmama will put up a fight. Drax releases a heavy sigh as Daime enters the passenger seat beside him.
Daime gives him a signal that they are good to go and they went on. The drive is pretty quiet.
None of them wants to open any subject as possible. They want their minds empty of anything that involves Grandmama or Primo.
But they both know that they can no longer escape these topics anymore. What is about to happen will happen and it is something none of them would want to get involved at.
Drax enters the freeway and passes along the road of the military base. Daime looks out of the window of the passenger seat as he listens to the soft music from the radio.
It is a nice Sunday morning.
Usually, they would be on their way to the city's park, having a jog and some games, but now, they are on their way to fetch a typhoon that would ruin their lives.
Daime looks at his cousin as he grips the steering wheel subconsciously, sighing heavily as the car revs in full throttle. Daime knows he needs to calm Drax down but anyone would be pissed at this rate.
They got to the airport after almost half an hour drive from the house to the arrival area. They wear their masks as quickly as possible as they run towards the entrance of the arrival gates.
Drax pants awkwardly while thinking if his bones are getting old as he tries to keep up his pace on Daime's speed. Being young is great and stakes of the responsibility is much lesser than being adults.
Daime, who is much taller than Drax, looks around the paddocks and searches for that ginger head old woman in her seventies. She is probably wearing a tight red dress with some black high heels on.
Her lips are red and her make-up is on point. Her hair is styled like an old princess from the British palace and she is surrounded by black and white suited guys.
The typical style that Grandmama would have whenever she arrives at an event or at a party.
A few seconds later, Daime finds a matching description of Grandmama and waves his hand up in the air. Marcus sees him and directs Grandmama and the others toward Daime's direction.
Both of the boys look under dress in front of Grandmama but none of those matters for them. What only matters now is Primo's plan of survival for all of them.
Daime bows his head at Grandmama, being the youngest in the bunch, respect is the first one any of them would do when Grandmama is around. Grandmama pats his head and when Daime lifts his head, he meets Grandmama's emerald orbs.
Drax looks at Grandmama and slightly bows his head. It is understandable in their family that if there is an older generation Santoro in the bunch, bowing ninety degrees towards the old woman is not an option.
Grandmama accepts his welcome and they proceed on carrying her other bags and luggage. Daime notices the woman, who is staring at him with awe.
He looks away from her and immediately walks beside Drax, who is looking at him suspiciously. Drax frowns at the younger but the latter only shrugs his shoulder.
They get inside the van after minutes of walking all throughout of the parking lot. Daime seats at the passenger seat beside Drax while the others are on the back.
The van's engine starts with a rev and they are on their way back home.
The ride is quiet and awkward. No one dares to speak and none of them has a topic to talk about. Daime gets his phone out of his pocket and chats Primo that they are on their way home.
Primo replies with a thumb up and Daime shuts his phone down. He looks at the center mirror to see the others at the back but he notices eyes are on him.
He feels shivers up in his spine and did not dare to look back. Drax knows that there is going on with Daime or there is something that is bothering him.
He looks at the center mirror and sees those tantalizing light brown eyes. They were beautiful and enchanting.
It makes the one looking at them to tally a little bit more and look at it a little bit longer. But for Drax, he won't be captured that easy. Because the only person who can do that is Cassie.
He smiles on himself as he presses the gas pedal, making the van runs as fast as it can. Minutes later, Drax parks inside of the garage of the small Santoro house.
It is definitely smaller than Grandmama would anticipate but there is only three of them, so the space is perfect for them.
She enters form the front door and with a smile to herself, she is ready to face the missing Santoro after all these years.
Slowly, Drax opens the door and reveals a smiling Primo in the center of the living room.
A challenging smile is showing and his confident level is spiking as the scent of the room changes from something sweet to something dark and gloomy.
"Finally, you found me."
Grandmama gives him the biggest smile that she could ever give. Something that looks menacing and sinister. A smile that could kill millions of people, literally.
"Darling, Primo, I missed you so much! Come here, my precious grandchild!"
She opens her arms wide open, hoping that Primo would hug her back but the latter remain seated on the couch. Grandmama pauses and looks at Primo with a confused expression.
Before Primo would run to her and hugs her tightly, giving her all the trust that he could give. But now, the situation had changed. Grandmama is no longer the woman Primo trust.
"Who it is? Who is the new person that you trust?"
Like a villain in a fairytale story, her anger reaches the heaven's height in an instant. Primo's bedroom door opens, revealing a beautiful man with a body of a twink and a pretty face.
His lips are luscious and plump while his hair is unruly. His eyes widen in surprise when he sees Grandmama and bows at her to show some respect.
He sits beside Primo after showing respect to the older woman and kisses him on the cheeks. He eventually asks Daime to come sit beside him and smiles at the woman who is in shock.
"My name is Aiden. Nice to meet you."
Grandmama scoffs as she drinks her morning coffee, looking outside the clouds before smiling to herself.
