Danger Zone

Chapter 92 - Aiden The Method Actor

"Welcome to Miss Sandra and Mr. Alexander's engagement party! I am your host, JJ and on behalf of the Santoro family, we hope that your honored guest will be having fun tonight!"

Thunders and roars of clapping hands and whistling like wolves surround the whole venue. The Santoro family almost filled the whole venue while the others were compacted in a very small space.

Aiden and his family were seated almost near the comfort room where Aiden grimaces at the lack of courtesy by the Santoros. It really looks like that they are trying to mock other family guests at this very evening.

Giving the other families the worst seat possible while they have the entire best seat for the night. Looks like generosity does not run in their family.

Aiden looks around the party, seeing familiar faces as he smiles at a few of them. He scans the area, looking for those icy blue eyes that give off the expression of a sad and lonely man.

He sighs when he did not see him anywhere. He walks to the side of the giant pillars, supporting the heavily influenced Michael Angelo paintings up in the ceiling.

The shape and the strokes of every figure in the painting look exactly like Michael Angelo's famous painting unless he is the one who did this. But that would be ridiculous because this building was only established ten years ago.

Michael Angelo is already dead before this building is even established so maybe it is only inspired by his works. Aiden is looking at the other paintings in the vicinity when someone taps his shoulder.

He flinches in surprise and turns around, only to see the same man who strangely requested him a few days ago, for a dance. He looks at the dance floor before looking back at the man.

Aiden contemplates whether to say yes or no when he realizes that he did not answer anything back then. He clears his throat and stares at the guy straight in the eyes.

"I'm sorry. Who are you?"

Cassie looks at Aiden like a hawk before moving beside Jasmine, who is looking at all of the deserts on the table. She taps her shoulder and Jasmine looks in the direction that Cassie is pointing at.

Jasmine frowns at the sight before shrugging her shoulders. Telling Cassie to let Aiden do what he can to get out of that situation. He needs to survive is what she said to the watchdog.

Cassie could only nod and looks at the dessert table before getting what she wants to eat.

"It has only been a few days and you already forgot about my handsome face."

Aiden grimaces as the boy tries to impress him with his handsomeness. Showing his good side while engulfing Aiden with his awfully strong perfume, making Aiden thinks if the guy uses perfume as his water whenever he bathes.

"I am certainly hurt that you forgot about my pretty face but I am certain that you didn't forget about your promise, didn't you?"

Aiden's mind stops functioning when he mentioned something about a promise. In the back of his mind, he is thinking if he should tell him the truth and walk away or he would just pretend that he remembers.

Since he never actually remember making a promise to a stranger that he met somewhere in the town plaza of Geneva.

Otherwise of this decision, he wants to get away from the guy as soon as possible. He sounds like a pervert and he walks like a pervert. Aiden doesn't want to get involved with someone like him.

"I'm sorry but, I don't talk to people I never met. Now, if you excuse me."

Aiden attempts to get away from the man when he grabs his arm and forces him to face him again. With a sour face, he dramatically begs Aiden to come to him.

"Please! I'm sorry!"

His voice is too loud and melancholic, making everyone looks at him as they look at Aiden in disgust. His way of pleading is a textbook-style drama. Making his face sourer and scrunch up, as if trying his hardest will make it more believable.

Everyone who knows acting could only facepalm themselves by his terrible acting. But those who don't look at Aiden with poor hatred. How dare someone like him would make a Santoro beg for mercy.

What a pathetic man Aiden is.

Aiden did not dare to look at his parents since he doesn't want them to get involved with them. He pulls his arm away but the grip by the man is too tight and it's making his hand red and swollen.

"Let go of me, you crazy bastard!"

In Aiden's pathetic mind, if he can't outdraw this man, he will just join him in his petty drama to gain attention from the people. His acting is bad but Aiden can think of another reason to make this man look as miserable as possible.

"Let go of me, you cheater! You promised that I will only be the love of your life! How dare you to cheat on me?!"

A scandal.

Aiden is making a scandal. Something that will make the press crazy for some answers. An affair by a nobody and a somebody. Oh, Aiden is truly loving every bit of it.

"You promised me a beautiful life, living in a beautiful house with our beautiful adopted children! Now, I caught you cheating with a disgusting beast who looks nothing like me! Me! A royal!"

Few gasps and tiny whispers can be heard all around the engagement venue. Master Evon watches Aiden as he acts like the great actor he is, as he tries not to run away from the venue and leave his son there.

But the show is too much to just leave and not see how it will end. Master Evon watches with glory as the man breaks away from the mess that he puts upon himself.

"Go back to that cheap woman that you think would worth millions of diamonds!"

Aiden pushes the guy as he pulls his hand away from him. Stomping his feet away from the guy while his sister claps her hands quietly. Aiden puts up a good show.

Spectators are amazed by the show and immediately went back to their own world. The man stands up from his position as he tries to fix himself as Grandmama looks at him with her piercing gaze.

He went to the back of the stage and up to his room before shutting the door down and he was never seen again. Just like that, another Santoro did not pass the initiation led by Grandmama.

His other cousins turn gaze away from him as they watch him with embarrassment on his pale face.

"Grandmama, please! Another chance. Give my boy another chance."

Grandmama looks at the pleading woman with mercy in her eyes. Truthfully, she wants to. She wants to give him another chance, but that would be unfair to those who didn't get one.

She clears her throat as was about to speak when a young boy, standing six feet tall, speaks the truth out of him while drinking a glass of soda.

"Another chance? What will he do next, crawl in the middle of the engagement hall as he cries for his Mom?"

His voice is poison and his tones sound like a mockery to the mother's voice. He doesn't care if he is being disrespectful but a petty show like that does not deserve a second chance.

"I would not make him destroy my brother's wedding for a second chance."

His piercing gaze makes the woman shudder as she steps away from him. She is terrified at how the latter talks as if he is much older than any of his older cousins.

With a smirk on his face, he puts down his glasses and strides to where Aiden is, and pulls him towards his direction.
