Danger Zone

Chapter 95 - His Broken Heart

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Master Evon looks up from the folder that he had been reading for the past hours.

"Come in."

A woman in her 20s bows at him while her hand is on her chest. Master Evon taps the table to indicate her to enter his office.

The woman watchdog nods and proceeds towards his desk and lays a white envelope with a golden seal in the middle.

"What is this for?"

The woman nods her head before answering her Master's question.

"It is a letter from the Santoro's, Sir."

Master Evon responds with a hum as he gets his opener on his desk and carefully slices off the top of the envelope and opens the letter.

"Another wedding, I see."

The woman watchdog can only wonder why there are so much wedding events happening inside of that family. It is like this, barely two months ago.

She sighs as she watches her Master reads the invitation while waiting for him to dismiss her.

Master Evon looks at her with a smile on his face and gives out his orders. The female watchdog nods her head and goes out of the room.

Aiden's father stares at the letter again then chuckles. He stands up from his chair and proceeds to dial a number.

"Another wedding that you are planning?"

Master Evon hears a sigh on the other line as the informant gives his information to the Master of the Matautia house.

"Yes, another one, this coming Saturday. It's a bit of a rush but there is nothing I can do but follow orders.

Were you invited?"

Master Evon answers with a firm hum and proceeds to pace around the room.

"That's understandable, knowing that you are basically their worst enemy. Of course, they will invite you to flaunt their richness again."

Master Evon would've agreed if that is actually their reason for inviting him. He chuckles at the simple yet petty reason that the Santoro have to invite him in this celebration.

"If only that's the actual reason, I wouldn't care to go."

The informant stops in his thinking when he hears Master Evon's answer for his reasoning. Thinking about what he meant, his mind goes back at the event of attack in the Matautia house.

"Oh, your hidden gem."

Master Evon smiles at how smart this informant is. He clearly knows who is he dealing with and knows what the family had been planning about since they invited Master Evon.

"Are they still on about that? Didn't you only have a daughter?"

Master Evon stops pacing as he almost burst into a laughter. He composes himself and tries not to chuckles as he inhales a heavy sigh before answering the informant.

"That's a fact."

Master Evon is keeping answers to himself since he forgot to tell the world that he has a son. But he can't believe that the informant actually believed his lies since there is no one in this world would answer something like that.

The informant sounds satisfied with Master Evon's information and carefully bid his farewell with a promise of entertainment this upcoming Saturday.

After the phone call, Master Evon looks around his room as he puts the phone down on the table before started snickering and eventually laughing.

"Oh maaan, I haven't laughed this good for quite some time. I better call everyone to prepare for this upcoming wedding."

He goes outside of his office and greets everyone with a warm smile. He never had a decision as heavy as this but he is sure that it will be a spectacular sight to see Eleanor shocked and agape like a dying fish.

"We have another wedding to attend but this time; our family will have the spotlight."

The smile plastered on the Master's face is something they had never seen before. Looks like the old man has something sinister in his mind.

What could that be? No one knows but they know that it is something related to Eleanor Santoro.

They never know why she hates their Master so much. He didn't even do anything against their family before.

Unless, he does. Nonetheless, the Matautia group prepares everything that they need for Saturday.

Master Evon even informs Jasmine about his plan, in which the lady smiles at and agrees on.

"Oh, I am excited for Saturday."

Master Evon's smiles gleefully as he looks at one room that he never opens after the Santoro attacks their domain.

He smiles and goes inside. He peeks through the black curtains and smiles on the first person who greets him.

"Hello, my dear. I hope you are ready for Saturday. We are invited on a wedding by the Santoros. I hope you are well-prepared as well."

Aiden and Daime arrive back to the mansion with breads, sodas and other snacks in tow. They don't look like they went to see the wedding hall that Grandmama asked them to do.

They look like they went to a mall where they celebrated Aiden's arrival in the country. The first person Aiden sees is Primo, standing tall and proud near the main door.

"Primo!"

Primo smiles and waves at Aiden as he readies himself to catch the latter and lifts him off of the ground.

"I miss you!"

Aiden kisses Primo on the lips as Primo kisses him back. Leaning against the pillar of the main door as the kiss deepens.

But before Primo could proceed to pressing Aiden to the wall to deepen the kiss even more, Daime smacks his hand and glares at Primo.

"Don't or he won't be able to attend the wedding."

Primo looks at Daime and glares back at the younger. Primo never cared about the rules but this is Aiden that they are talking about.

In the end, he clicks his tongue and puts Aiden down and helps them with their groceries of snacks and breads.

Aiden follows Primo as they leave Daime at the entrance of the house.

Daime chuckles to himself as he watches them as they move away from him until they disappear from his view.

"I am such a nobody for Aiden."
