Dark Hunger

Chapter 86 - Him?

"You. Are. Mine." Caleb rasped in a strained voice as he drove inside her harder. "You are fucking mine. Till the day I die!" He could see her fangs growing. Her need to mark him. He rolled with her, made her straddle him again and then sat up. He held her hips, aiding her to move up and down his length, and said, "Mark me, my queen!" He turned his neck to the side. And Elize buried her fangs in his pulse point. They sank so deep, so perfectly. "Oh, god, yes!" he snarled, delirious with the sensation of her fangs in him and his cock inside her. He didn't know where she began or where he started.

She swallowed the hot citrusy blood. Her core grew wetter. The heat that had coiled inside her belly was about to unfurl. She grabbed his shoulders as she was about to come. Her nails scored his skin.

"I am coming," he yelled. And then his back bowed. "Come for me, baby!" As if she was waiting for his command, she came around him, her tight sheath milking him. He threw his head back and then he jerked his hips one last time and then with a bellow he ejaculated inside her, arc upon arc.

Elize left his skin and her back arched as she felt his hot seeds spilling inside her.

Caleb collapsed right beside her, his heart pounding hard and he still was lazily thrusting on her belly. He pulled her closer to him. She licked her tongue across her mark. Elize was surprised at her need to claim him so desperately. She had never heard of these kinds of things in humans, but now with her vampire instincts, she felt as if there was a beast inside her. 'We are there…' her magic hissed. Used to this voice inside her, she no longer resisted it. After sex she was… dazed and she wondered if she wanted more.

He rose on his elbow and held a strand of damp hair in between his fingers. He leaned down to kiss her every now and then. "We need to have another round," he said.

She was still breathing hard. When she managed to catch her breath, she said, "No, we need to take a bath." She noticed that his bruises were almost healed.

He chuckled and nodded. "We do need a bath, love."

When Elize slid into the pool, he walked right behind her. He placed his hands over her hips, feeling their motion as she walked in. "What are you planning now, wolf?"

"I have an idea," he replied as he grazed his fangs on her ears again making her gasp.

"Nothing doing," she replied and giggled. "I won't hear any of your ideas." She knew what they were.

His hands came forward and splayed over her belly, his fingers brushing the hair of her sex. "Are you sure?"

Even as her hips bucked greedily towards his finger, she said, "Yes, I am!" Saying that, she removed his hand and then dove inside the water. She swam away from him to the deeper side where there were rocks on the edge.

When she emerged, she scooped her hair back after holding a sharp edge. She turned towards him, her cheeks pink with his blood, her lips red like strawberries. If he bit into them, they would squeeze out blood. And her deep red eyes—gods. She was perfect. Caleb sighed.

"Tell me about Auril," she said. "How will he go to Wick now? He is stuck with us in Yelgra."

Caleb let out a half smile. He swam towards her and emerged just beside her. He shook the water out of his hair.

She bit her lip. So wolfy.

"I had plans on sending Auril through Wick Airport, but then I talked to him."

She raised her brow. "What do you mean?"

"Auril has run from his kingdom not only because he doesn't want to marry Orla, but he thinks he has spotted his mate," said Caleb as he wiped water from his face.

"Woah! Really?" Elize said as a cool burst of surprise passed through her.

Caleb nodded.

"And where is his mate? Does he even know or is he trying to find a needle in a haystack?" Elize was concerned. Now that she truly understood what it meant to be a mate, she didn't want Auril to feel sad.

"He thinks he knows, but he isn't sure."

Elize's eyes widened. "And he still wants to take a chance, and that too by going against his mother, who is the queen of Zelena?"

Caleb took a deep breath in. He shrugged. "He wants to take that chance, Elize, and honestly I can't blame him for it."

"When and where did he spot his mate?" Elize became intrigued. Auril wasn't even sure if he had seen his mate, but still he wanted to give it a try. "And why is it that he is unsure about it?" When Caleb had seen him, he was sure that she was his mate. Even she felt crazily attracted to him. Then how come Auril didn't feel that connection and was still in doubt?

"Auril saw his supposed mate four years back when he had come out on his patrol duty in the Fulshire forest. He had come to the edge of the forest and saw a few boys bullying the child. There were five of them and they were punching this child left, right, center. He didn't know why but he crossed the periphery of the forest and walked over to intervene. The other boys snarled at him and they threatened him that if he tried to interrupt what was going on, they would thrash him too." Even as Caleb's face tightened, he laughed. "Wrong decision. They should have listened to him. They were no match to Auril's strength and speed. Soon they were all running away, threatening the child that they would deal with him in the school."

"Him?" Elize's eyes became wide.

Caleb tilted his head and smiled. "Yes, him. Auril felt this feeling to protect the child like he was a treasure worth dying for. He helped him to get up to his feet, and then asked him whether he was fine or not. The child's lips had split and he was bleeding. Auril was tempted to heal his bruises with his magic but he couldn't because magic is prohibited in the human realm. He wasn't sure if the child would be scared and then run away seeing his magic. Instead, he offered the child to drop him at his home. Though the boy looked frightened, he agreed to Auril's help. That day Auril dropped the boy back at home, but the attachment he felt for him was something he wanted to deny."

"Oh, gods!" Elize placed her hand on her heart.

"Yes, he cooped up in his house and stayed away from the boy for two years. But then when he just couldn't take it anymore, once again he came to see the boy just to be assured of his feelings. He never approached him but watched him coming out of his house with his sister. He followed them to his school and then the feeling came back with full force.. The boy was now thirteen."
