Dear Broom Knight

#185 - Lowry was almost misunderstood

His experiment was a success.

Indeed, things that can become difficult problems are troublesome wherever you go.

It's just, it seems a bit torturous.

How should I put it? Someone who only dared to shout '60 points is a victory!' when facing math papers in high school, someone who handed in a perfect 45-point paper during the college entrance exam, one day, suddenly discovers that they can easily solve even the additional problems. Inevitably, their ego will swell.

He really dug out memories from his mind and then did math papers for several days in a row!

He even discovered in astonishment that certain magic runes could actually be brought into some famous permutation and combination problems, and he didn't hesitate to stuff them in and use them.

Magicians, especially those who play with magic arrays and alchemy, are actually pretty good at mathematics, but they are more inclined towards applied mathematics.

Some common sense sensed from the laws, most magicians will not investigate what impact the world has suffered to form this rule.

They only need to know that this common sense can be used in their magic arrays.

Lowry just had a whim to bring those fixed-pattern magic runes, which are very similar to mathematical symbols but do not represent numbers, some are large and some are small, but cannot be counted with 1, 2, 3, 4, into some mathematical rules of his previous life for use.

In fact, most of them didn't react.

The wonderful thing is that bringing these runes into permutations and combinations produced an extremely active reaction.

Lowry now naturally doesn't have the ability to research the principle, but he can already use it.

Although in Cheska's eyes, the locks made by Lowry can be divided into junior high and senior high levels, in essence, Lowry only used the easiest to understand ones from the 'permutation and combination basics + 21 types of questions' in his second year of high school.

He never thought that one day it would become happiness.

Lowry of course used it very happily, and even quickly added a mechanical magic lock to every door on his side building.

Actually, it's nothing. Generally speaking, except for the four Tolle siblings who were still training here at the time, basically no one would come to the side building to find him in his castle.

Huoyu doesn't need to go through the door anyway.

But, Lowry forgot that when Teacher Arsalan came to his castle, he lived on the top floor of the side building.

When the Archmage occasionally went out for a stroll, he was quite annoyed by the rune locks all over the building... It's not that he couldn't do it, even if those runes existed in a seemingly incredible state, but after all, they were runes with rules. With Arsalan's mastery of the power of law, he wouldn't be unable to calculate it.

But, after the lock is locked again, it will form a new rune chain... Only by calculating the hidden rune and drawing it on the lock surface can it be opened.

Lowry took the ever-changing but inseparable principle of permutation and combination.

But, Arsalan was really annoyed.

He is a very practical mage, who only likes to study the principles of magic and make his combat power stronger.

Although alchemy and magic arrays are well learned, they all serve his strength.

Just like the reason why he has never accepted students is that he looks down on those people's timidity and cowardice.

Mages in the apprenticeship period, or even just advanced formal mages, do have no way to compare with knights in combat power, but how can they retreat before even fighting?

Even a flash spell can do something if used well.

Arsalan, when he was young, was actually a combat fanatic.

It was only later that he understood by the reality.

But his character and hobbies have not changed.

The reason why he can hit it off with the White Dragon King and wholeheartedly make the Northern Kingdom bigger and stronger also stems from the fighting blood in his body.

Even with an extremely intelligent mind, Arsalan would only study applied mathematics. He has no interest in calculating two rune problems for nothing.

What's the point of calculating this thing?

The Archmage knows magic runes very well, and he knows at a glance that the things Lowry is playing with can only be used as maze locks.

It is impossible to have any effect in reality, and it is impossible to become a new, lethal magic.

Therefore, after seeing the rune locks all over the building, he would only feel annoyed.

After using the unlocking spell dozens of times but only opening one lock, Arsalan flew out of the side building in a rage and rushed from the window to Lowry's study to severely teach him a lesson.

Only then did Lowry honestly put away those locks.

But then again, although Arsalan felt that these locks were of little use, he took away more than a dozen when he left.

After all, he wanders outside all year round, and his home needs more protective measures... The heavily protected magic array and the heavy warehouse door cannot be said to be completely insured.

So, it's good to have a little more.

And Lowry was just a little too excited when he just figured out that if he returned to his original world now, he could even take a look at the last page of the additional questions... Usually, he couldn't even turn to this page...

He doesn't really love mathematics.

So, he quickly put down the research on these runes and returned to the proper study of magic.

After all, researching that thing is no longer the level of 'wanting to run before you can walk', it's directly wanting to go to heaven.

Lowry was quite fortunate later... When Arsalan mentioned this matter later, he said that if Lowry hadn't put it away quickly enough, he would have severely taught Lowry a lesson.

How can a junior mage study magic runes, something that even a level 16 mage may not be able to understand?

It's not that you can't study it, but you must study it after understanding the principle.

Taking an occasional flash of inspiration as your true strength, and then disregarding reality to delve into something that is still 108,000 miles away from you is courting death.

Fortunately, Lowry was smart enough, and only played for a while when he got some inspiration.

That's normal.

When mages are learning magic, if they have any special talents, they are easily favored by certain laws, allowing them to see some beauty that seems only beings above the gods can see.

Lingering in this beautiful scenery for a while, and then clarifying their future path, and striving to make themselves able to always wander in that beauty, will surely have a great future.

The most ⊥ new ⊥ small ⊥ say ⊥ in ⊥ six ⊥ 9 ⊥ ⊥ book ⊥ ⊥ bar ⊥ ⊥ first ⊥ hair!

Arsalan is very happy that his students can have such opportunities.

But if you are addicted to this, and only want to see that scenery again every day, and ignore everything else, then it is foolish.

Fortunately, Lowry hasn't reached that point.

Although mages will strictly discipline, and even reprimand their students, they will not always keep them by their side... Isn't he going to live his own life?

Therefore, many mages who go astray, if they cannot repent themselves, and still persistently pursue while the teacher is away, then, the teacher has no way.

Expelling them from the school is the end of the matter.

It's not to say that such students will not have a future.

Many mages can actually walk out of a strange path of achievement on a biased road.

But, no archmage is willing to admit that this is what he taught.

Magic research does have countless roads leading to the Hall of Truth.

But if you observe carefully, you will find that this is actually a wide road, countless straight, parallel car roads: although there are differences between large car roads, small car roads, non-motor vehicle roads, and sidewalks, the direction is no different.

And those who go to other detours that seem like shortcuts, even if they are lucky enough to still be heading in the direction the main road is going, they will inevitably not know how many turns to make.

And most people, in fact, will never see the hall that the main road is going to.

Arsalan will never allow Lowry to make such a foolish choice.

Fortunately, Lowry himself reacted.

Recalling what happened during that time, Lowry couldn't help but have lingering fears... He couldn't possibly tell the teacher that what confused him was not the beautiful scenery of the future, but the unwillingness from the past, right?

Fortunately, he put it away quickly enough.

"Baron?" Cheska softly called out to her Baron, whose soul suddenly flew to some unknown place.

"Ah~ Cheska." Lowry came back to his senses and asked seriously, "Have you shown Charles' plan to anyone else?"

"Besides the Baron and me, only Valera has seen it." Cheska replied with a smile, "I didn't let the quasi-scholars who help me with paperwork handle these. They have been in my desk."

Lowry nodded... That's good.

After all, if this matter has spread, then among the apprentices in the castle restaurant outside, someone must have already started preparing for this.

Although some people do come for the so-called cooking skills, most people want a stable 'financial future'. Who would be willing to take apprentice-level salary if they can become a formal chef?

Even if Lowry doesn't care about the resentment of a few apprentices, but... having been a beast of burden, even if he has turned over to be the master, he still hopes that the beasts of burden can live a little better.

Lowry glanced at Cheska: "Are all the year-end summaries left with you?"

"Baron." Cheska said very sincerely, "Charles and Valera are fine, after all, they have something to say and they do have a lot of planning.

Taylor is okay too, although he only hangs around the knight training field and always thinks that you can buy some more magic horses back for the Knights.

But, how could I take out the plans of Marr and Komran for others to see?

It's not okay to put them away separately either.

After all, their positions are more sensitive, and it's not good if people think that you have some plans for that side.

It's not that I'm afraid of anyone, but why should I be wronged for something I haven't done?"

Lowry suddenly recalled those two guys' pages of 'meat meat meat' and 'fight fight fight', and could only choose to smile silently.

Cheska was still mumbling: "At least now they look quite intimidating when they don't speak..."
