Death : Mystery Unsolved

“ What is it?” She asked, in complete alertness. Just like a bunny, who accidentally entered Tiger’s den.

He noticed her alert, terrified expression. And only one word came in his mind. Useless. This creature definitely is useless.

So, he ignored her, pushed the door,which till now was under the hold of Agent K, opened it wide open and shamelessly invited himself in. As for Agent K, she couldn’t figure out at that moment.

Whether she was shocked too much, or she was scared too much. Or whatsoever, as this fellow entered her den, without her permission, right in front of her eyes. As for her, she was watching him like an idiotic fool, stood rooted to her very place, next to the doorframe.

And the more he stares at her. This idiotic fool. Moreover, he couldn’t help but regretted his decision of approaching her. After all, he has been taught that each and every individual is unique in their own way.

He thought, maybe she is a little introverted type. Maybe that’s why, if they talk, then maybe they can work better as a team. So, because of all those stupid moral values and teachings, which has been engraved deep till his very bone marrow.

He was here, giving her a chance. Despite knowing that they are from enemy countries. Despite knowing they are bound to be enemies in the future, too. After all, each and every person of these two countries hate each other.

Be it the actual guilty one or the innocent one. But just for the sake of the mission, he was bound to forget their enmity, at least for now, for this mission. But, look she definitely isn’t making things easier for him.

“ Are you planning to stay at that same spot, for the rest of night?” He asked in his low magnetic voice, which was almost dripping honey in it, alluring her.

And she finally understands the meaning of ‘The Red Riding Hood and The Wolf’ story. No doubt, the allurance, the greed is just way too much for people , especially humans to resist.

“ Well, it’s a nice place.” Fine. This is already a great mercy, that, this little cub still can speak, without stuttering. Otherwise, she has long become a mess, at this person’s arrival.

“Come here.” He ordered her, through gritting teeths. He definitely isn’t a patient person, alright. And she definitely is challenging his limits, already.

And for some uncertain reasons, she followed to the nearby sofa, while leaving the door half-open. Just in case.

He did notice that, but decided to turn a blind eye into that, at least for the time being.

“ Agent S.” He introduced himself, to initiate the conversation, with this little terrified bunny, who was sitting in the little space, uncomfortably, next to him.

“ Ahem… Agent K.”She replied back with a nod.

“ Okay. Agent K. As you know, very soon we will be working together on this mission. So, I would like to know your thoughts about this mission, from anything to everything.” He replied with an encouraging and amiable smile.

And as if this smile did it’s work, her fear dissipated a little.

“ Um… That we are supposed to catch the leader of TTO, dead or alive. And, yep, also that, we have found the opening in this case.” She replied politely and excitedly like a sincere student, who has done her homework obediently.

And for some unknown reasons, he felt like the headache creeping in. Wow. Just Wow. And this is the person he will be working with, in future. Fantastic. No. Just amazing. Only now, he realizes, he is bound to doom, all no-thanks to this very person.

For the next few minutes, the place regained silence, the suffocating type of silence. That it makes it difficult to even breathe loudly in the very place.

“What’s your area of expertise, in this field?” After what seems like an eternity, he asks her with a serious expression on his face.

“ Finding source of information. And negotiations with people for information.” She replied honestly and sincerely, after seeing his pissed off expression.

After all, the last thing that she wants at the time, is to dig her own grave.

“Fine. So, from now onwards, you will be responsible for finding the sources. While extracting the information, would be my part. Any doubts or queries?” He asked in that domineering tone of his.

“ All clear.” She replied, like a junior, with a nod.

“ This file carries all my search. Try to find out if there’s anything you can use about.Good night.” And he didn’t even spend a moment longer, and left the moment he spat the night greetings, out of mannerism.

K , just stare at the door, from where that creature appears and disappear, just like a phantom. Then stare at the thick piles of paper filled in a file.

And she felt like a headache creeping in.

Gosh, she hates thick paper reports, or files, or books. The books related to medicines and surgeries are already more than enough to make her insane.

Then why. Why this thick file, too?Why does the world have to be so unfair to her?

She got the feeling of walking on a ticking time bomb [Agent S], who can explode out at any moment. She really has to take proper precautions and prevention measures against this fellow.

And as if the night hasn’t been painful enough. The other person decided to disturb her. Luckily, not through the visit, but through the text message. Which was so confusing, that she doesn’t know how to decode it.

‘ I need an explanation.’ Trevor texted her.

She just rummaged her mind, but still couldn’t find out.. What explanation this fellow is talking about.

In the end, she decided to give up and call the creature. To give the so-called explanation.

Ding~ Ding~

Trevor waited and waited for her reply, which didn’t come.But instead after 20 minutes, her call came.

Damn it!!! The reason he recognized it’s her call, because the screen was completely blank, not even a single word, single code, anything on the screen. Just a blank screen.
