Lucifer stood firm as the piled-up corpses of the steel-jawed wolves surrounded him. Lucifer felt the joy of a victory as he managed to defeat a pack of beasts. That happiness did not last long as he defeated all nine wolves. He felt the presence of 2 more packs approaching. He had to steady himself.

"The most important thing is that I levelled up", Lucifer thought as he focused and steadied himself.

He gripped his sword and focused his vision.

"System invest three stat points into strength."

"I need to kill at least four more wolves before my stamina gets automatically replenished, and I definitely could use that right now. It seems that even though I never felt tired during training, fatigue that builds up during actual combat is just different. I can rest, and with my fast regeneration, my fatigue should begin to lessen the issue is in this place. There is nowhere to rest."

"I should strike first before the beasts have a chance to corner me."

Lucifer prepared himself. He gripped the handle of his blade tightly, ensuring he becomes one with the weapon that is the thread that ensures he is connected to life itself.

If a swordsman loses his weapon, he loses the thread that connects him to the realm of the living as he has lost his weapon leaving him defenceless. Even if only for a short period of time, it is still enough for one to end up ceasing to exist.

As his vision focused, the darkness around him became less blindingly dark, and the depths of the castle ruins became more sharp and visible. As his senses became sharper, he could feel and hear the enemies coming. He knew what he had to do as he prepared himself.

The atmosphere was becoming thicker, and the enemies were getting closer.

At an instant, the muscles in Lucifers body tightened and stretched as he dashed forward, ready to slaughter any enemy he comes across.

As Lucifer approached his first enemy, he was ready. Lucifer pulled back his sword, and with a diagonal slash, it felt as if he was slicing the particles of the air itself. The swift and smooth movement of the bladed weapon met the flesh of the beast. As the beast was penetrated with the blade, it felt as if Lucifer was simply slashing a cloud as the motion was fluid and powerful, leading to the beast falling to the ground in two pieces as the bloody remains began flooding out blood which sprayed from two halves of the deceased beast. It was clear Lucifer was ready to take on the beasts, and with practice, his sword skills were returning.

As soon as the beast's corpse dropped to the ground, Lucifer was ready.

As more beasts closed in, he reignited his fire enhancement on the bladed weapon. The shimmering silver of the blade covered in the crimson flame enlightened the nearby area.

With the crackle of his lightning enhanced body Lucifer rushed at his enemies, his blood lust clearly present and his enhanced predatory nature fully shown through his actions.

As Lucifer went past, his fallen enemies killed out through his fluid motions of slashes. Only the coldness off his ice domain could be felt as it remained following him. Only the glimmer of his lighting enhancement could be seen as he moved so quickly. Only a glimpse is what the beasts could see before their demise.

As more beasts approached, they were slaughtered, only leaving body parts and a blood bath behind them.

As the fluid slashes of the blade continued, they were accompanied by lesser skills enhancing the fight as enemies were hit with lightning bolts and ice bullets, allowing Lucifer to preserve his physical stamina. Preventing fatigue from overtaking him as the amount of Exp earned was decreasing, and his fatigue only grew the more he fought.

As more beasts approached, Lucifers presence already sealed their fate.

With his swift and agile movement, Lucifer approached his prey, prepared to grant the beasts a quick end.
