Chapter 74: Fighting The Humanoid Demons (4)

Blake was once again sent flying into the air, and this time, with the force of the circular earth wall literally pushing him upward with great momentum, and added with his relatively light body, Blake was easily thrown up the trees with his body spinning in the air.

‘Godamnit! Blake cursed inwardly as his vision had once again spun around in circles.

It was his second time today getting his body launched off the ground and Blake was starting to get annoyed by that fact.

But Blake didn’t have any time to complain more than just uttering a single curse word as he knew that he would most likely be in a worse place than he was currently in if he just let his body crash onto the ground again.

So after his body spun for the second time and the momentum lowered and enabled Blake to finally see his surroundings more clearly, Blake quickly started drawing a set of runes to prevent his body from free falling to the ground again.

‘I might be dizzy again but at least I won’t feel any pain.’ Blake thought to himself as he finished drawing the set of runes and looking at the ground beneath him.

The runes flashed and disappeared.

.....

And in the next second, the ground right beneath him started to shake for a split second before another earth wall protruded from the ground and thrust upward.

Heading directly in Blake’s direction.

Blake’s plan to prevent himself from falling to the ground was exactly that.

By casting an earth wall himself, Blake wanted to once again launch himself back into the air with the momentum of the earth wall that was rising up from the ground in an abrupt manner.

And this time, he was more than ready to receive the push that he aimed his feet right onto the surface of the rising earth wall.
By slightly bending his feet and relaxing his body, Blake was able to lessen the impact that he felt on his body, which was already little to begin with due to the dark earth armor able to absorb some force.

Upon his feet making contact with the earth wall, Blake followed the momentum of the rising earth wall as best as he could which resulted in his body being flung upward much further than before when his body was just accidentally thrown upward.

Blake’s body went high above the trees before he finally lost the momentum and started stagnating in the air.

But before his body started falling downward, Blake quickly spread his wings outward and ran his nether through them.

The moment Blake’s nether filled up his reptile-like wings, Blake felt his body become as light as a feather.

And with the way his wings were positioned exactly like how Vera had taught him before, Blake’s body started gliding forward instead of falling back down to the ground.

Without any obstructions from the roots, tree trunks, and bushes, Blake’s body traveled in the air freely and easily got away from the area where he was bombarded by the five humanoid demons’ attacks.

Back on the ground, the five humanoid demons stared at the retreating Blake in confusion as this was their first time not being able to defeat a single enemy when the five of them had worked together.

And of course, none of them accepted the fact that they had been played with by a single demon.

“Gho aghfter it.”

With a single command from the brownish demon, the five humanoid demons started moving and went after the flying Blake.

Blake didn’t have eyes on the back of his head nor in the ball of his feet and he didn’t know whether the five humanoid demons chased after him or they decided to let him go.

But just in case, Blake still glides around left and right instead of moving in a straight line to make sure that even if the five humanoid demons chased after him, they won’t be able to easily predict the direction he was going.

With the lush trees all around the forest having thick leaves and many branches, the vision of the five humanoid demons was obstructed and they could only get so far with Blake gliding all around the place.

But the five humanoid demons didn’t seem to have given up yet as one of them, the one with the insect wings and a hole in his mouth, started bending its leg before it kicked hard against the ground and jumped upward.

Its muscles were nothing to be admired with as it could only jump about 5 meters high, about the same height as Blake’s capability with his incredibly lower physique stat.

But the insect wing demon didn’t fall back down to the ground after the jump as its insect wings started buzzing loudly and lifted the humanoid demon off the ground.

The speed that the insect wing demon was going was significantly slower compared to Blake’s gliding speed, and it could even be called a snail’s speed when compared to Vera’s flying speed.

However, the fact that the insect wing demon could already fly, not only glide, was still something that Blake was incapable of doing as of now.

The moment the insect wing demon took off and flew up the sky, Blake instantly noticed the loud buzzing in his ears as if a mosquito flew right past his ears.

Blake was quite surprised to see the insect wing demon was literally flying and not gliding like him as he knew that he couldn’t fly until he reached level 15, which means there’s a possibility that the insect wing demon was level 15.

But Blake put the thought to the side first as it had been confirmed that the five humanoid demons were really going after him.

Realizing this, Blake quickly threw away the possibility of retreating and made his decision before changing the direction of his glide, heading straight in a certain direction.

Although its flying speed was slow, the insect wing demon was able to see all of Blake’s movement and didn’t miss how Blake was moving in a straight line in a certain direction.

And seeing that Blake’s altitude kept getting lower and lower because he was gliding instead of flying, the insect wing demon quickly made its way back down to the ground and informed the other humanoid demons of his findings.

Upon hearing the news, the five humanoid demons quickly made their way towards the direction that the insect wing demon had told them, with the skeletal wing demon keeping its wings folded and going at the pace of the other humanoid demons.

And after running for quite some time, they finally saw their target, standing straight, with his face facing straight towards them.

The five humanoid demons didn’t think much of what their target was doing, the fact that he was directly in front of them was all that matters.

But before the brownish demon was able to give out the command to attack, the single humanoid demon that had been fighting 1 against 5 all this time suddenly opened up his mouth and shouted a single word,

“ROBUS!”
