Once I finally walked in the door of my small two-bedroom apartment, I collapsed onto my giant kind sized bed and shut my eyes. It wasn't until I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket that I remembered that I forgot to let the group know I got home alright.

I sighed heavily and dropped my hand with my phone to the mattress in defeat. My phone pings with the familiar ringtone of Angel as I picked my phone back up.

[FUDGE BARS]

To you, My Angel, Gay Boi, Fudge bar dealer

My Angel: Fudge bars?

Gay Boi: Hell yeah

Fudge bar dealer: How many am I bringing?

You: All that you got

Fudge bar dealer: No one tell Elizabeth.

I immediately jumped off my bed in excitement at my newfound energy and ran to my bathroom. I stripped out of my sweating practice clothes and stared at myself in the mirror. My eyes were glowing silver. That was new, I've never seen them do that before. I shrugged it off and quickly stepped into the shower. The warmth of the water soothes my aching muscles and relaxing me further. I quickly shut off the water and stepped out of my shower with a fluffy towel.

Running through my cold house and into my room began to cause my muscles to hurt worse than they already had. I quickly threw on the first outfit I found. It was a pair of white washed jeggings with an oversized shirt that read "I'm a boss b*tch" across it. I threw on a pair of knee high boots to complete the look and quickly pulled my long silver hair up and into space buns on my head and walked to grab my phone and noticed I had been messaged.

To you

Unknown: I wouldn't go out tonight if I were you, little Rosie girl.

The strangeness and unfamiliarity of the person hit me directly in the face. How did this person know who I was and who was this?

You: Who are you and how do you know my name?

You: and don't ever call me Rosie again.

I bit my thumbnail as I awaited a response, but got none, so I grabbed my keys and walked out my door, locking it before me. I turned to walk away when I felt my phone vibrate and ping with a familiar sound.

Unknown: I tried to warn you, Rosie girl.

I shivered and continued to walk down the three flights of stairs and walked over to my motorcycle. I felt another vibration when I reached it.

Unknown: Rosie girl, this is your last chance, turn around and go back to your apartment and you'll be fine.

I threw my leg over my bike and slid on my helmet. I revved up my bike and started down the street towards Angelina's bar. Along the way, I felt my phone continuously go off and chose to ignore the mysterious person texting me repeatedly.

I pulled up to Angelina's after what felt like a million years and walked inside only to see the bar practically deserted. I started humming to myself and checked the time, 7:10. The reservation would start in 5 minutes. That's long enough for me to get to Angelina, get food, and get out before the client showed up. I walked back to the kitchen and watched pots and kitchen utensils fly around the room and were cooking nonstop. Angelina looked up from her work when she heard my footsteps from behind her. She smiled at me and stood to walk over.

Angelina was a small woman, at about five feet and three inches tall. She was fifty-four years old and had been taking care of me since my parents abandoned me at her doorstep. She had brown hair that was beginning to silver and eyes of a warm chocolate color. She quickly enveloped me in a hug and watched me for what I was here for.

Angelina was mute, meaning she couldn't talk. She had an accident before I came into the picture that caused permanent damage to her vocal cords and caused her to have to adjust to a new life with no voice.

"Hi, Mum. I'm having the group over for dinner tonight. Can you quickly whip up enough food for four people?" I asked. Her eyes sparkled and she nodded at me, quickly getting to work.

Angelina was a half-blooded angel. She never cared about my lineage for as long as I was with her. She took care of me for forever and always promised to be here for as long as she was alive. I hummed as I watched her work. I decided now was a good time to check my ever pinging phone and noticed that whoever "unknown" was, they were not letting up.

Unknown: Rosie girl, go back home

Unknown: They're gonna get you if you're out after dark, and I won't be able to protect you this time

Unknown: You're so stupid, Rosie girl.

Unknown: Don't go to Angelina's tonight, I may be inclined to take you away from here

Unknown: Tick tock, Rose.

Unknown: I'm here now, Rose. You better be gone.

I shivered as I felt eyes fall upon me. I whipped my head around to see who it was, but there was no one there. I checked the time again, 7:15.

Angelina came skipping over then and gave me w bags worth of food and leaned up to kiss me on the cheek before shooing me out of the kitchen and to my bike.

As I walked through the bar, I stopped when I saw a tall man staring at me. His eyes were blood red and were watching me closely. His hair was long and black. He looked, angry.

I ran out to my bike and took off after that. I finally reached my apartment and went to check the time, 7:25. I saw another message from the unknown number and immediately opened it.

Unknown: Bad move, Rosie girl.

Unknown: I'll punish you later for your disobedience.
