Desolate World

Chapter 110 - Definite Proof

But Ace knew that the point was not that. In the first place, Cloud's skill was continuous. So, after she used it, it was almost guaranteed that the skeleton who only had ⅓ amount of his original HP when it was still alive was sealed to die in less than 10 seconds.

And she could target another skeleton after 3 seconds of cooldown of the skill ended. So even before the first skeleton that she had targeted died, two other skeletons could be targeted. And the fact that the skill's mana consumption was so little, made this skill broken. The skill that Ace thought mediocre in the past had transformed into such a terrifying skill for the undead.

And Ace just remembered that Cloud had a necklace that she bought in the system shop in the past. This necklace doubled the mana amount of Cloud. He almost felt pity for the undead.

As what she said was true, that the healing spell dealt two times of her magic value, it meant healers could become the main damage dealers in battles against the undead. Maybe all people had the same thought as Ace, as they smiled meaningfully. Even Mars was the same.

"That is a major discovery. With it, all angels and other healers will become nightmares for the undead. I said like that, because heal spells are the innate abilities of angels. Although normally we only have light mage and sharpshooter as combat jobs, all of us learn various heal spells as we become stronger. On behalf of all angels, I thank you greatly for sharing this information," Aria said while bowing her head. All angels, even Uriel, did the same.

Cloud smiled and then said, "It is nothing actually. Then let's go to the main show.

Miss Andrea, please heal me, and show them what the shadow priest is."

Ace then knew Cloud's way to prove that the shadow was not undead. It's pretty simple actually. By asking Andrea to heal Cloud, it would prove that the 'shadow heal' skill of the shadow priest was no different than other healing skills.

Ace was sure, after Andrea didn't have a problem in healing Cloud —as they had tested it before the angels' attacks— she would ask the shadow to heal the skeleton. If it dealt damage to the skeleton, then it proved that shadows were not part of the undead.

As it would be impossible for the healing skill of undead could harm the undead and restore the HP of living people. With this method, everything will be clear. And then no one dared to say that the shadows were undead, anymore. Ace must admit that this means was flawless. Ace then looked at his mother-in-law with respect.

After a short delay, Andrea began. A black staff then appeared in his hand. After that, she pointed her staff to Cloud. Then, Cloud's body was enveloped by a black halo.

+3230

Because the cloud's HP was full, it didn't appear to increase. But the green floating number on top of Cloud's head told all people the proof. It was an 'overheal'. A condition that occurred when the healing effect exceeded the optimum HP of a target.

But, what shocked Ace was the amount of HP that was increased. It was 3230 points. He remembered that the 'mass heal' of Aria also healed about 2700 HP. If the damage doubled, he was afraid it would instakill most ordinary skeletons at level 50 or even level 60, as their HP should be ⅓ of theirs when they were alive.

And it happened in front of him.

-6.460

Ace also just realized that the damage wasn't being discounted at all. It meant that the magic defense of the skeleton didn't work at all to heal spells. It was just insane.

He imagined that with the discovery, they would be able to deal with the undead, at least, the skeleton army easily. However, when he remembered that their number was millions and they could be resurrected infinitely if their bones weren't destroyed to ashes, he dispelled his beautiful fantasy.

It was impossible to destroy the remnants of the defeated skeletons in a large-scale battle. As the other skeletons wouldn't let that happen. Then, there were liches. With their 'bones resurrection' skill, they could revive the killed skeletons with ease, although the number would be limited.

Ace then sighed. It was a long way for them to be able to confront the undead directly. At the moment, he just hoped that with the Misty Forest as a barrier and a large number of dragons and angels settlements in the South, they could discourage the undead to move South. Ace then knew the importance of this village. It would become the first defense line of them, if the undead wanted to invade the South.

"I have nothing to say," Aria said.

With a smile, she then said, "From the battle just now, I also think that you are no less powerful than us, angels. I also want to apologize for the rudeness that the angels did just now.

It was a wrong action. They should have waited for Lord Mars's decision first. I promised to compensate you all for their conduct. And, finally, welcome to Laketown village!"

"No. We understand. Ace has told us before the possibility of us getting resistance. In fact, it was normal, as we have been known as part of the undead," Andrea said.

Aria and Andrea then shook hands. With that, the drama finally ended. Mars then announced that the shadows would join Laketown Village. The shadows were excited. For them, this would be their home. They didn't have to run away from ghosts and other undead anymore.

As for Ace, he finally could take a break a little longer. As he wanted to help the shadows to get their temporary accommodations. The shadows said they didn't need something like that. Because they preferred to stay in the shadow realm to take a rest. They just needed a dark place like a cave or underground site.
