Chapter 84 - Provocation

The snake apparently was too weak to move. It tried to lift his head, but it couldn't do it. It then used its pair of wings to lift its head to look at the dragon.

"Thank you Mr. lizard. If not for your help, they will catch me. But can you let me sleep for a month? Oh, it will be best if you give me a wolf or bear. I had to throw up my meal just now. It made me so uncomfortable," The weird snake said.

Hearing it, Ace couldn't help but look at Mars. He saw the already red scales on his face became redder.

Ace waited for a good show. But before the irritated Mars showed his rage, they heard Geo's voice," You are a meanie. How could you use its body? Don't you have your own body? Get out! It's in pain right now."

Ace and Mars looked at Geo with curiosity.

Mars seemed to forget what the snake had said. He then asked Geo, "Can you tell me what you have found?"

Geo, who was glaring at the snake then looked at Mars and said, "He is not the snake. He is inside it and doesn't let it control its body. He is a bad guy!"

"Shut up, kid! What the fu** did you say? I will devour you," The snake shouted.

In an instant he spat those words, all of Geo's pets came out from his rings. They were ready to attack the snake.

Ace even had taken two joker cards from his belt and wanted to throw his cards into the large mouth of the snake.

"I must say you have guts there. First, you order me around and call me a lizard, and second, you want to eat the kid in front of me. Look how I will solve you!" Mars said angrily.

"What is it? Did I hurt something soft inside you?" The snake said in a mocking tone.

Mars seemed couldn't take any insult anymore, he had lifted his right foot and was ready to step it flat.

But, an unthinkable thing happened. Geo ran and stood in front of the dragon while spreading his two hands as if wanted to prevent Mars.

"Geo! Come here. What are you doing?" Ace asked sternly.

Ace also found Mars was stunned. He then dropped his big foot and asked, "You said that it is controlled by the parasite, right?"

Geo nodded, "It said that it wants to be freed from him. And it begs me to save it. It has been controlled by the bad guy for a long time. So please, save him!"

Ace and Mars looked at Geo and the snake with a doubt. Then they heard the snake say again, "Hahaha… Do you want to save it? In your dream, stinky brat. I won't let it. And you can not do anything to prevent it. Face it loser!"

Ace then calmed himself. He then realized that something was wrong with this parasite. It was because, from the moment it had woken up, it always tried to provoke them. As for his purpose, it of course wanted them to kill its host. But why did he do that?

Ace then looked at the snake. Then a thought appeared in his head. He couldn't help but smirk.

"Are you afraid?" Ace asked the snake.

The snake was silent for a second. Then he said, "Hahaha… Nice try, hairless monkey! No, I'm not afraid. I…."

Ace didn't let it finish his words. He then said, "I'm sure you are afraid. Let me guess something. When you have just woken up, you found that you were caught by us.

I think you have tried to trigger the monsters around here, but for some reason, it didn't work. I don't know the reason, either your skill was in cooldown, you are too depleted, or it was because of the presence of my Boss.

As your host is not in shape to either fight or escape because of the fight before, or you have doubted that it could escape from my boss. You then chose to abandon it."

The snake, no! The parasite said, "Stop spouting garbage. Or…."

Ace once again cut its words, "Or what? Let me continue to say my guess. And you can't free yourself except if your host is dead. So you provoked us. You wanted to lend our hands to kill your host, didn't you?"

The snake was looking at Ace with resentment. It then said, "So, what? Don't you want to catch me like the undead? I prefer to die than be captured by you."

Ace then saw the massive physique of Mars transformed into his humanoid form. He then shook his head.

"You made a wrong move by provoking us. It's true that I am interested in you. After all, I have never seen a creature that can make all low-level monsters in a radius around 25, no! Maybe 30 km going crazy.

To be honest, I'm impressed. At first, I wanted to communicate with you, but your actions really made me angry.

But, okay. I will give you another chance. I forgive you for insulting me just now. Blame my curiosity," Mars said in a relaxed tone.

As the snake breathed a sigh of relief, Ace heard Geo's voice, "Then… Then, how about the snake, uncle? It is too pitiful. Can you save it, Dad, Uncle?"

"...," The two were silent. Ace knew that Mars only cared about the parasite, not the host itself. He could care less about the host's fate. But as a father, Ace thought he had to think of a way to save the snake. He believed that It was the duty of a father to help his child do a good deed.

He then heard Mars's voice, "Listen here, kid. I don't think the snake can be separated from the parasite. As your father said, the parasite can't free itself from the host. And correct me if I'm wrong, the snake can't free itself from the parasite too, right?"

"Yes… But, the snake is too pitiful. It wants to leave his control. Even… even it said that it prefers to die than to suffer like this any further," Then Geo looked straight into Ace's eyes.

He said with full trust, "Dad, please do something!"
