Desolate World

Chapter 89 - Sky World And Loot Distribution

Ace was surprised. He then asked the guide about the sky world.

He got an answer that it was the world that had no planet. The people lived on floating Islands. Many races lived in this world. And then she stopped her explanation.

While following Mars around to look at the refugees' and goblins' conditions, Ace continued to dig information from the guide.

Such as, he would lose his power in this world once he migrated, but for the compensation, he would get some privileges that were equivalent to how many achievements that he made.

After digging for more information, he had many thoughts. Especially about the fate of his original world and the people who lived there.

Based on the guide, every world had its time limit. When it almost reached its time limit, it would combine with other dying worlds to form a new world, like this world.

But, there were also worlds that were beyond help. Their environments were polluted or broken to such a serious degree. For the inhabitants of such worlds, God would test them in a young world to determine how many of them would be saved. Sky World was their destination. In this world, each group of people would live on an island. Whether they destroyed or developed it, it was their choice.

Ace counted that if he could make all of the achievements he would be able to save all people. But it was almost impossible for him to do that.

Even if he could, he didn't think to save all the people in his original world. because he knew there were many people who were so corrupted, they became the threats of all humanity or people who thought they were above others, so for their interest, they could harm many people's lives. He hated such people. And in his opinion, the world would be better if there were no such people.

What he didn't expect was, when he thought about it, the guide said, 'There are no 100% good people or 100% bad people. It is possible for the descendants of good people to become bad and the descendants of bad people to become good.

So, how do you know for sure what the best for the world and society is? Will the world become better with the existence of some people? Or Are you sure if some people disappear, the world will become better? You are only able to judge the past and you will never know the future of people and the world. It has been proven in the history of Sky World.'

Ace wanted to refute, but he knew that some things that she said were true. He then thought that the guide was a very advanced AI. To be reprimanded again by the guide.

'I'm not an AI, based on the definition that you understood. I'm also a creature that has been created by God, just like you. Just so you know, I'm doing my job here,' The guide said.

Ace could only sigh. He knew that there was no longer privacy for him, as his thoughts could be read by the guide.

Mars decided that they would take a rest that day. As they did not lack any food after the monsters' attack. They got a massive amount of meat from the monsters' carcasses that Ace doubted they ever needed to hunt for a few months later.

After that, based on Noah's suggestion, they should divide the loot of yesterday's battles. Everyone that had contributed to the battles should get what they had deserved. And the family of the death, should also get some shares based on the sacrifices of their family members defending the people from the monster.

He suggested that because; although they would live in the same village, they would have their own lives. They needed capital to rebuild their lives. And as the loot was valuable, they should divide it fairly.

No one objected. And with Mars as the witness, they then took out all of the loot crystals and monsters' carcasses that they stored in their inventory. There were some people who had opened the loot crystals, so they put the contents of them in front of everyone.

Ace and his family also took the loot crystals that they had. Many people persuaded them to not do that, as they had done many things for them. But Ace insisted. He thought it was a good means to divide the loot of a battle, so he suggested Mars implement it after each battle in the future. Mars agreed.

They opened them in front of all of the watchful eyes of people. Then many dirac coins, monster cores, monster heritages, and blueprints came off. It needed three hours to count them all.

Then they got the numbers. They had 4,806,783 dirac coins, 21,642 various monsters' cores, 751 monster heritages, 332 various blueprints, and 5 skill crystals.

It was a huge harvest. If it was the past Ace, he would drool over them. But, for the current Ace, he looked at them with a practical view. He didn't need most of them. He already had almost a hundred thousand dirac coins in his inventory. As for blueprints, he had Sofia who was a walking library. He could get any blueprint that he needed from her. The reason they couldn't make anything was because they lacked people who could create the equipment or build the buildings and because of the scarcity of materials.

When Noah came to Mars to get his spoils, Mars only took one of the skill crystals. He said he didn't need the rest. And if the village needed anything for the loot, he would buy them from the owner. It was pretty fair.

Noah then came to Ace. He told him to take his shares. Ace said that he would also represent his family. Noah nodded. He then said they deserved ¼ of the loot, because of their contributions. Ace nodded.

He then took 3,000 various levels and elements of monster cores. Most of them had fire elements, as they were needed for Torch to evolve. He also took 232 monster heritages from wolves and bear-type monsters. His intention was clear, he wanted to make equipment sets from the two monsters. As they emphasized agility, strength, and physical defense, they would be popular among guardians in the future.

He also took 3 skill crystals. As he didn't find any skill crystals that were suitable for him and his family members except Sampson who was the warrior type. Yes, he didn't find any magic-type loot from the piles whether they were monster cores, monster heritages, or skill crystals. He suspected that because most of the magic-type monsters were smarter than psychical-type monsters, none of them were affected by the parasite's skill.

Noah asked him to take more, but he refused. Because he had already taken many good things.

Noah then took the last skill crystal. He could learn a skill from it. In fact, Ace left the skill crystal because it was suitable for Noah. It was Rhino Armor. It would make a full-body thick armor that enveloped the wearer's body. It was a perfect skill for Noah who liked to fight in the front row.

He also took 10,000 dirac coins, 500 monster cores, 7 blueprints and 10 monster heritage.
