Destiny or Coincidence?

It's been a week since I accepted the truth of my birth and from then on everything was running smoothly. I spent most of my time with my parents by taking an off for a week because dad wanted to return back to work. 

It was fun knowing their college stories and how they used to fight, hangout and even enjoy the time together. They actually were inseparable, the same as our gang. I even got to know that dad used to wear spiderman underwear until both my mom and dad got together. It was not until one day when my mother was cleaning and found those underwear in a cotton box at the back corner of the closet and asked him about it. Even then he denied it at first but when mom blackmailed him, he uttered everything about it. 

God it was hilarious to see my father's face when my mom was explaining it to me. He wanted to strangle mom but I stopped him from doing it but we didn't stop laughing for the whole night. I even got to eat different varieties of food from my mother's hand. 

Damn, she was a very good cook. Now I get it, why Abhi always used to say that her food is the best. Even dad agreed with Abhi about this. Infact their whole gang used to be fond of her food itseems.

I thought that it would take some time for me to get adjusted with her but I was so wrong. I didn't feel any awkwardness between us and it was the same as before how we used to hang out. The only difference is that there is more love and care in the air now.

And the new thing here is that my dad and my boyfriend became close with each other while Adi was behaving like my dad is his own dad too. Ofcourse, my dad was more than happy that he got two more sons now including Rishi and Dev too. It's like we became a big family all of a sudden, but i am not complaining though.

After spending a week together, dad went to Hyderabad yesterday evening with a heavy heart but promised to come back within a month again. And we too promised that we will definitely make some time to visit him.

Also, in this week's span of time, we got very shocking news that Rishi and Riya planned to marry within the next two months and even the date got finalized. They explained that it was all so sudden and both of their parents agreed to it. Of Course wedding takes place in Pune itself where they are planning to buy a new house for them to get settled on. 

God, it was so sudden for them to decide like this but hell, i am so happy for my favourite couple. It's been a long relation now to get the name to it anyway. They also wanted to do a marriage shopping with us, so we are planning to visit them next month with our total gang and get to the marriage a week before.

It was so exciting that me and Riya started making plans for her marriage from now itself. Of course in between our long talks, she sometimes mentioned the word marriage but I waved it off saying it's too early to think about that in our relationship. Because we are getting to know each other still but if i am being true to myself then i thought about it too. And i really don't know how he feels about that topic. So I never spoke with anyone in fear of getting rejected or declined. But on the other hand, I am happy that we are enjoying our time together in this relationship. He is the best boyfriend anyone could get. 

Not only that but we even got to know that Karthik proposed Sahana for marriage a month ago, but because we were in our own break down moment, she never brought that topic in front of us. She only opened up that moment we got a call from Riya about her marriage. 

It was again surprising to see our another couple getting committed together and we are feeling like the marriage season is going on here. But I am happy for both of my couples. Karthik and Sahana decided to marry after six months, so they have plenty of time to plan it accordingly. 

Now came Monday flying back into my arms like a bird and I felt awful because I needed to go to the office finally. It's not like I don't like my work but it's just that I want to spend more time with my mother but she assured me that we will get plenty of time for it and pushed me out of our house with a smile on her face to reach the office on time.

So here I am traveling to my office to reach on time where I am already getting multiple calls from our clients for some meetings about the designs. So the moment I got off from the cab, I rushed to the meeting and god, it went on until lunch time. But the moment the meeting was over, I dragged Char and Sahana with me to the cafeteria because I was starving. All my colleagues including my boyfriend laughed at my antics but I just stuck my tongue out at them and ran to the cafeteria like a mad girl.

I felt so stuffed and full after eating all of my plate and exhaled in relief with a smile on my face. 

I gasped covering my mouth with both of my hands and looked at him with wide eyes like not getting about what is happening here. 

Is this what i am thinking is this or am i really hallucinating it. I asked myself not believing it.

He slowly looked into my eyes with a loving smile on his face that always made me pull towards him and took my right hand in his. All this while I held my breath in fear of breaking this spell around us. Whole cafeteria became silent but all my eyes were on only one person who kneeled in front of me at present.

"Athira… The moment I saw you in the ground with that little purple colour dress of yours, I knew that I fell for you badly but didn't realise it at that moment. I only got to know it when I left you and went to bangalore. But I fell for you even more when I saw your innocent face in the college again. Trust me, it literally took my breath away. But I didn't get to talk with you both of the times and I regretted it a lot. But thanks to god that he gave me another chance with you in the pub and I decided that i wouldn't waste it this time. Damn, i was so nervous to approach you but got lucky because even you were attracted to me this time" he said smiling and winked at me at the end of the sentence, making everyone laugh around us that i blushed remembering the scene from that night. It was indeed a very special night where i met the love of my life for the first time. 

"But again you disappeared that night, leave me alone.. It was very depressing but i made up my mind to find you at any cost" He said making me feel sad because of the stupid decision i made up on that day while leaving him in the pub. I thought it was for the best but it was the worst decision I ever made in my life. 

"God, I again became lucky to have you in my company as a trainee. I was on cloud nine knowing that all the stars are on my side this time which are making an effort to get me to meet you again and again. So yes, I tried my best to make you mine." He said looking into my eyes again with adoration and love that sucked me into him like a magnet. His brown orbs always do the magic and make me surrender to him like a statue.

"Of course there were ups and downs but i finally got you dear" he said chuckling that i too laughed lightly remembering our days. But he became serious once again before continuing his speech that I too looked at him by holding my breath in anticipation.

"And I am planning to make you mine for the rest of our lives. So will you do me the honour of spending the rest of your life with me as my wife? Will you stay with me forever as my life partner dear? Will you become the mother of our future kids?...." He said slowly with tears in his eyes while taking a velvet box from his side pocket that everyone gasped around us including me with tears running down from my eyes but all i can see is him in front of me.

"Will you marry me Athira Patel?" He asked opening the box and showing the beautiful diamond ring in it with a nervous looking face of his. 

God, when did i become this lucky to have this handsome man in my life? 

Oh my god…. He is proposing to me…. I can't believe it….

Yes. And you need to answer him, duffer. Scolded my brain making my senses come back to present to see the man I love still kneeling in front of me while everyone was eagerly watching me for my reply and others were chanting 'say yes' with an excited look on their faces.

Finally I took a deep breath before replying to him.

"Yes…" I dragged with a whisper, "Yes Abhi… Goddammit Yes…." I shouted with happiness by kneeling in front of him and hugging him tightly with all my might. He too hugged me back with equal happiness and excitement in his eyes but i can even see the relief in his eyes that made me even more happy than before. 

He moved me back from the hug by placing his hands on either side of my shoulder to look into my eyes with emotion in his eyes before capturing my lips with his in a loving kiss. 

We both were still kneeled but we don't mind it while kissing each other desperately. He sucked my lower lip before entering his tongue into my mouth by making it even more intimate. He always makes me burn with his kisses that I melt under him.  

He gave me one last short kiss before taking my hand and placing the ring on my finger with love and kissing it gingerly. 

"I love you Babe" He said, pecking my lips and hugging me.

"I love you too" I whispered, hugging him in return. 

Everyone clapped and shouted for us and congratulated both of us for our future. 

Two Years later:

Oh my god… Oh my god… I don't know how Abhi will react knowing this. Should i tell him directly or should i show it. 

I am so confused right now. I never felt this panicked and nervous around him in this one and half year of our married life. Hell, I didn't even feel this way when we were dating. I only felt it this way when I was going to express my feelings for him. 

Of Course my marriage was an exception because every girl feels nervous before her marriage. And I can't believe that I am married to Abhi one and half years back. It really feels like yesterday but it's been more than an year already. And we are really happy together with me moving into his apartment after our marriage. 

Even my friends Rishi and Riya are married with a one year old son to them. Karthik and Sahana also got married and blessed with girl twins who are 8 months old now and settled in Bangalore itself. 

Dev and Charitha got married after us and are happy together. They are planning to have a baby this year hopefully but Dev got scared that he might not become the best father to his children. So basically Riya shut him up by giving some advice and lecture by making Char relieved of his antics. They got settled in our apartment where I used to stay with him before my marriage. Char moved in after I moved out.

Mother still stays in the same house but visits us every weekend or we go to her place. It is like I got two houses. One is in hyderabad where my dad stays and other is in Bangalore where my mom stays. They always take care of us though and are happy for us. When mom literally cried at our marriage, dad teased her saying that "why are you crying? I should be the one to cry because she is going to leave me. But for you it's a blessing since she is coming to her mother's house itself". This made everyone laugh and enjoy the marriage. Of course my life is unique where i got married and came to my mother's house itself.

Coming to Adi… he is happily married to Omisha last year and are very happy with each other. When Abhi proposed to me two years back, Omisha decided to give Adi a chance and from then on they just clicked.

"Babe… Where are you?" called Abhi from the kitchen where he was preparing food for the both of us because i was handling the meeting in a video call. 

"Coming…" I shouted from our bedroom and stood up by hiding it in the closet and walked out for dinner.

"How was the meeting babe?" He asked when I reached near to the dining table and hugged me by placing a quick kiss on my lips.

"It was good," I said, not meeting his eyes and taking a seat on the table with a small smile in nervousness. "And they accepted the deal," I said, taking a sip of water while glancing at him for a second before averting it again. He was wearing shorts and bare on the upper part like he always does when he is home.

"Oh that's great dear" He said placing a plate in front of me with noodles filled in it. The smell of it was delicious but i was not enjoying it because my mind is elsewhere. I need to tell him before he finds out. And damn, i am worried about his reaction because we never spoke about it before and i don't know how he is going to react to it.

"What is it sweetheart?" He asked, coming closer to me and taking a seat beside me by pulling me into his lap with concern evident in his eyes. This made me gulp in nervousness because he can read me clearly and I can't hide it from him anymore.

"Abhi…" I said looking into his eyes while correcting some courage to tell him.

"Tell me dear…" he said, placing his palm on my cheek and nodding his head in a question.

"I… I am…" I said and stopped unable to get it out. He looked at me with confusion and concern that made me even more nervous. So I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before letting it out in one go.

"I am pregnant" I said while closing my eyes in fear of seeing his anger or something else. I held my breath in anticipation when he whispered, making me open my eyes and look at him carefully.

"What…"He whispered with wide eyes and searched my face for confirmation. So I slowly took his left hand and placed it on my stomach while looking into his eyes to see his reaction. 

When he saw where I placed it, he immediately raised his head with excited eyes that made me look at him surprisingly.

"You.. You are pregnant" He asked, shuttering and looking at me like a small kid who was excited to receive his best gift. So I nodded my head with a smile that he squealed in happiness by getting up and lifting me in the air by making rounds that I laughed and squealed in happiness with him. 

It was the best memorable moment of my life seeing him this happy and I am glad that it's because of me.

After a moment he stopped circling and placed me on the ground with excitement and placed kisses all over my face and kissed me on lips with passion. I got sucked into him with only one kiss and responded to his kiss with equal love and passion. 

When we stopped kissing to take a breath he looked into my eyes with new found love that my heart melted even more for him.

"I am going to become a father… You are going to become a mother…"he whispered, kissing my eyes that I closed feeling his touch and enjoying every part of it. I can see and feel the happiness in his eyes for becoming a father that made me cry with happy tears.

"We are going to become parents Athira… You don't know how much I waited for this day" He whispered, capturing my lips again in a soaring kiss and then the whole day we made love on the bed without leaving each other. 

If meeting and falling in love was my happiness then I became even more happy when I married him. But now when i became pregnant i feel complete with them in my life. They are my everything and I can't ask anymore. 

I believe that destiny always finds its way into our life to make it even more better. What to say… Life is all about destiny and coincidences are the steps to reach one's destiny...
