A day like any other the world was about to change for everyone, some more so than others. A Clock had silently been ticking down In the dimension in which the Milky Way we all know resides, and it just hit Zero.

Lee Long looked around at his workspace in a run-down steel workshop. Whats that strange feeling? Hmm, am I coming down with something?

As the feeling grew in intensity Lee Long noticed how silent everything seemed to have gotten in the last few minutes. Looking over to my fellow workmates I see them standing silently staring into space with a confused look on their faces.

Slapping my hands to my head I wince in pain as the strange feeling suddenly amps up, my head starts to buzz or vibrate I can't tell which. "Ugh, what the hell is this" I muttered to the yard, no one taking any notice of me in the silence. Everyone I can see either has their eyes shut or covered with their hands. The buzzing in my head starts to smooth out and turns into whispers and then words.

I go to switch my plasma cutter off and stop.... plasma?? Air and electricity seem like a good mix to start with let's see how good exceptional elemental affinity is ... I connect the earth lead to a random piece of scrap pull on cutting goggles and fire it up.

Staring at the short blue dagger of superheated, electrically ionized gas I try to get a feel for whats going on. "There must be some sort of elemental law going on here give me some enlightenment" I mumble to myself as everyone else in the workshop heads to the tea room.

Just as my head started to hurt and I started to feel something strange moving through my body someone shuts off the workshop power and my plasma cutter dies.
