Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3663 The Deep Sea

Davis blinked at Stella being devoured before he heaved a sigh.

The magical sea beasts were also sentient like any normal magical beast, but unlike the magical beasts on the land, they rarely had the chance to be civilized, so they were still wild and considered dangerous.

Because of this, most of the food consumed by all races was seafood.

And as Davis had heard, it seemed that they considered everything falling into the ocean prey.

From what Davis saw, the magical sea beast that swallowed Stella was a Lumphead Shark.

It was a massive three-hundred-meter-long shark. It had a big head as though it had a lump on its face, and from what he sensed, it appeared to be a Peak-Level Immortal King Beast. He could only shake his head in condolences to its life.

Abruptly, a huge tree appeared in the middle of the ocean. It grew all the way to seven hundred meters tall, absolutely towering, which made Davis blink as he wondered if Stella had summoned her true body out in a fit of anger.

He looked down and saw blood paint the surface of the ocean, covering half a kilometer in a few seconds.

Immortal Emperor undulations than reverberated throughout the sea, causing countless ripples to appear. The moment the other magical sea beasts sensed it, they finally knew what they were facing and fled even if the blood and flesh they were consuming from the Lumphead Shark was absolutely delicious.

*Fhiss~*

The Void Dust Tree then dispersed into purplish gray void dust, causing Davis to understand it was Stella's manifestation. If it had been her real body, it would've been seven thousand meters tall since she was at the Level Seven Immortal Stage.

With the seven hundred meter tree having suddenly disappeared, the ocean roared to fill the space the tree left. Stella floated out of the sea, her dark velvet robe swaying along with her purple hair in the tumultuous breeze.

She looked up, waiting for Davis, causing him to jump out of the flying boat.

He dived down without a stop, and Stella reached out her hand. Catching her hand and firmly grasping it, they both dived down together, entering the bloodied ocean. However, an incredible force they summoned allowed them to sink into the ocean while separating the water from them.

They maintained a spatial barrier as they descended. It wasn't even a bubble. A bubble was a pocket of air but this was a pocket of space that didn't let water enter. As they went down, it even withstood the pressure of the sea easily and due to the undulations they gave off the magical sea beasts decided to stay away, looking cautious.

Davis could see many monstrously big beasts.

In the deep sea, some even gave off various types of light from their giant bodies. Such a thing was called bioluminescence, making the deep sea rather light up a bit than be completely dark.

One of the magical sea beasts was even twelve kilometers long. It was an eel, its body crackling with blue lightning, lighting up the better part of the deep sea visible in his vision. "Woah~ What's its name?"

Stella asked curiously.

It was the biggest lifeform present here. There were two other beasts that were nine kilometers long and seven kilometers long, but they didn't seem to hold a candle to this bright yet hazardous eel.

"I have no idea."

Davis shrugged, "This eel has spikes on its back instead of dorsal fins, which doesn't make this an Incursive Dread Lightning Eel, so it must be a variant from a similar species."

"Oh, it's a mutated beast?"

"You could say that, but magical sea beasts tend to have more mutations than the average beast from mating. Due to this, their mutations don't differ much from their original species."

Davis chuckled.

The mutated Incursive Dread Lightning Eel looked offended for some reason as it swam over their side. However, even that magical sea beast stayed clear of Stella as it went away after knowing it possibly couldn't defeat a Level Seven Immortal Emperor when it was only a Level Four Immortal Emperor Stage Beast.

There weren't any competitors around either that could possibly help it weaken Stella, so it decisively left.

It had no interest in Davis's body since he seemed so scrawny in its eyes, not knowing he was much more delicious and nutritious.

"Dumb eel! Beh~"

Stella made a stupid face and extended her tongue out, trying to provoke it, but it completely ignored her and disappeared into the darkness as it stopped radiating lightning.

It made Stella pout since she wanted to show her power to Davis.

Davis chuckled lightly over her antics.

There was not a single dull moment with her.

He then told her the story about the Aqua Flood Dragon in the Grand Beginnings Continent and how it made an ocean full of magical sea beasts have its blood by mating with them, causing so many mutations to appear that they couldn't be named all unless they became a widespread species by increasing their population.

"Ooh- but then my Void Dust Tree race doesn't have much numbers either. I heard that we could be counted on two hands or even three…"

"Well, you are special."

Davis said with a straight face, causing Stella to look elsewhere as her cheeks turned red although Davis could barely see, considering there was little light. He abruptly came to a stop while Stella also adjusted herself to gravity and looked in the direction he was looking.

She could tell that the pressure here was so high that even Early Stage Immortal Emperors here would be hard-pressed to enter.

Davis could sense remnant undulations that didn't seem like a part of the sea.

They could barely be sensed, but his sense of soul managed to pick them up under a reef. There was a wide hole near the reef leading somewhere. He wouldn't know unless he entered, but there was the discharge from a construct.

It was also in energy form and couldn't be seen, but it was considered toxic, although the heaven and earth energy would cleanse it. But under the sea, these toxic discharges would stick like oil for longer, discoloring a part of the water.

The fact that he could sense it meant that these remnant toxic fumes were left quite recently.

'Well, considering yesterday was when the Candidacy began, they had to come out and move around a few times…'

Davis heaved a sigh.

They conducted business in a nearby town beside the shore near east, perhaps to buy some supplies after a long time but harmed someone in a confrontation. Their techniques were so peculiar that it caught the attention of the town mayor, and from there, this information was noticed by someone in the Dragon Alliance's intelligence network, leading to him now appearing here.

He felt that intelligence networks were quite scary to notice, even something as minor as a strange technique, making him imagine that he should be careful after ascending to the true immortal world.

Nonetheless, his figure sank along with Stella to the ocean core reef cave.

They entered after minimizing the spatial barrier they were inside. Looking at the bioluminescence hanging on the walls of the coral reefs, Stella's eyes widened.

"So beautiful~"

She looked at the multicolored corals shining their bright or even dim lights to the surrounding, glowing with fervor as though trying to make their existence known. They even responded to her voice, changing the rhythm they gave off their lights in.

"Wah~"

"Oyaya~"

"Vivi~"

Stella had fun making voices and even faces at them as she saw them respond to her with her lights.

Davis shook his head. He didn't know if she was innocent or a killer who was pure without any sinful emotions whatsoever.

She was not even a few hours with him, yet she already killed thousands of people, making him wonder if she would be alright if she continued to stay with him. Besides, her innocence about these kinds of things also had much impact on him, making him want to know more about her.

These two opposite thoughts had him attracted.

He flew towards her, grabbing her hand from behind, causing Stella to turn to look at him with her big purple eyes.

"The sound you're making… try singing…"

"Eh?"

Stella blinked.

Even if she wanted to sing, she didn't know anyone tune but looking at him gesture as though she should just try, she pursed her lips before she nodded.

"Aa~"

"Aaa~"

"Aaaaaa~~~"

Her voice grew in octaves, and she saw the coral reefs shine brighter and brighter with each high-pitched voice she released. In the end, they began to shudder as though they were going to shrivel and die, causing her to lower her voice.

"Continue."

However, with Davis telling her to continue, she sang like a songstress.

"Aaaaaaaaaaa~~~"

The corals shined brightly than ever before. A tremble occurred deep within the cave as air bubbles popped out, causing Stella to finally stop. She looked at Davis because she sensed a reef rock deep in the cave had moved, revealing a new location.

"Well done."

Davis patted her head and moved towards the new location.

However, Stella grabbed his arm and pulled him close, placing a kiss on his cheek before she jumped and got away.

"That should be my reward. Not what one would give to a child like head pats~"

She cheekily giggled as she fled, causing Davis to blink. He rubbed his face, thinking that wouldn't be bad as well, before he followed her into the new location.
