Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3718 Reaching Their Destination?

"Wait, wait, wait…!"

Shirley raised her hands, her voice sounding alarmed, "We aren't any suspicious people. In fact, we're the wives of the Divine Emperor of Death."

"Then don't they fit the description…?" Raigen scratched his head, looking confused.

"Then-" Agnirei popped a vein on her forehead over the blatant mockery, "…die."

"Wait…! These three may come under him, but we are not subordinates of the Divine Emperor of Death!"

She was about to deliver the blow, but another female voice echoed from the distance. A black-robed woman emerged on the edge of the wooden hull, placing a foot on the grip and keeping two hands on her waist, looking sassy.

It was none other than Rea Tyriel. She revealed a smug expression with her unconcealed face.

"In fact, we're the outer region, cheerleading group of the Divine Emperor of Death. You know… like outer disciples who are not considered disciples of the sect most of the time due to-"

"Die!"

Agnirei no longer bothered and unleashed the tumultuous flaming inferno ball at them. The surface of the water underneath the moving inferno ball boiled, evaporating quickly. The water surface caved or distorted under the heat and created more fog.

"Earth Dragon's Overbearing Fist!"

But at that moment, a silhouette jumped out from the boat and punched out.

King-Tier undulations reverberate throughout the area, causing everyone to feel suppressed as a Level Three Immortal Emperor's kingly dragon might spread in waves along with that fist piercing through the inferno sphere.

*Booom~*

It made a hole on the inferno sphere, causing it to explode and surge with an intense amount of heat. It caused waves to spread out in all directions and separate the two sides, sending the wooden boats sailing far away from each other.

Fortunately, the boats didn't capsize.

However, they lost sight of each other.

"Sigh… young ones." Founder Rocksunder had already landed back on the boat. He turned to look at Shirley and Rea Tyriel, his expression languid, "Please keep your tongues in order. If you keep provoking everyone, then we will eventually meet our demise."

"We're very sorry~"

Shirley looked away, not at all feeling sorry. Rea nodded but pursed her lips, barely hiding a smile.

They weren't going to complain since they were being protected, but the ones they all saw attacked them because they were affiliated with the Divine Emperor of Death. That alone infuriated them.

Perhaps those fellows thought they had the upper hand due to have becoming Immortal Emperors and wanted to try their luck at defeating them and obtain glory. However, they didn't expect Founder Rocksunder to truly protect them, so they were at a loss and could only retreat or die.

'Fortunately, Founder Rocksunder reached Level Three Immortal Emperor Stage before we left, or it would truly be a disaster…'

Shirley inwardly nodded and patted Isabella for having such reliable backing.

On the other hand, Flamerose and Frostrose had only reached Level Three Immortal Emperor Beast Stage.

"Zenova Artoria looked like she had teamed up with them."

Isabella had her hands folded, tapping her finger on the back of her arm as she started, "Do you think she put them up to this?"

"If it's her, it could be possible, but no matter where we go, we're discriminated against, so it doesn't matter." Shirley shrugged, "On the other hand, that female spirit seems like a handful. She didn't want to engage with us, did she?"

"Yeah… she attacked even while knowing there's a similar level Immortal Emperor here and let the flaming sphere explode instead of controlling it, almost seeming like she wanted to stay away from us as she said in her initial warning."

Isabella derived.

Both of them turned to look at Evelynn, but her eyes were closed the entire time.

"Spirits tend to be more faithful towards the heavens than the average humans, especially the ones born as Spirit Attribute Sources and turned into a spirit later on after they undergo tribulation."

Founder Rocksunder replied, creating rocks within his palm and throwing them into the sea as he watched the ripples spread.

"They worship the heavens… sometimes adore it, sometimes even commit suicide to return wanting to reunite with it although such cases are extremely rare… so wanting a Divergent and his cronies dead is something most natural born spirits would do for little to no compensation or at least stay away from them until the heavens took care of them…"

Shirley watched her face ripple amidst the water's surface before she couldn't help but smile.

"I see."

She hoped Eldia, Wisteria, Starcy, Zephya and Darkshade, Yilla's spirit don't have such inclinations. As far as she knew, they were all born under the heavens and didn't have a father and mother unlike Iesha.

Nonetheless, Shirley's group of four wooden boats continued heading east.

The more the fog swallowed them, the more helpless they felt as the area seemed to expand limitlessly. At this point, the visibility dropped more than half, and we were able to view around twenty meters.

That was enough distance to be instakilled, so they remained vigilant.

Soon, the mist shifted sceneries and the started seeing a shore. They were only half-sure if it was even a shore or a creature's body but the more they closed the distance, the more they realized it was the former.

They drifted to the shore and landed on what seemed to be an island that was still covered by mist.

However, the visibility was starting to come back, causing them to look into the distance along the shore that Zenova Artoria's group also made landfall.

"Let's go."

They made their way inside the island, which was sparsely populated with vegetation. The herbs here were all Immortal Emperor Grade, so they couldn't help but have fun collecting them.

Unfortunately, they couldn't just place it in their inner world or risk various side effects, so Founder Rocksunder was also looking for a space-attributed ore in order to make a spatial ring out of compressing the spatial energy that it would emit.

However, they soon came to learn such a thing wouldn't be easily obtainable.

Fortunately, they had magical beasts like Flamerose and Frostrose, so Shirley shamelessly smiled at them and asked them to carry these treasures above their magical beast bodies.

"…"

Flamerose and Frostrose wondered if they had become magical beast mounts already. However, they also recognized these were rare extraordinary herbs one wouldn't find easily, so they agreed to pick it up as long as they get more share.

Shirley agreed, and they happily went on harvesting.

However, they all remained vigilant.

There were a few reasons why they headed east.

One, it didn't seem like many people would try their chances here for fear of the sea, and the other was one of the Hidden Pagodas should definitely be in this direction since if the First Hidden Pagoda was in the central area or theorized to be in the central area and Shirley's Ninth Hidden Pagoda was in the west, then all other Pagodas would most likely be located in the other seven directions.

They believed the eastern direction wasn't completed yet, so they kept heading further into the island, wanting to know if they could find a Hidden Pagoda here or in some other island on the way.

"Oh, what's this...?"

"That's a building, a mansion, right...?"

Isabella and Shirley looked into the distance. Even amidst the fog, they could vaguely tell something had appeared, and it was important even if it was not a Hidden Pagoda.
