Michael's voice was like the devil's temptation. Now, as long as Vivien agreed, they would receive 10 million in original gold!

"Steve, what should I do?" Vivien hid behind Steve, who seemed to bring her some sense of security.

"I never thought of suing them, and I didn't expect to be compensated either. I just wanted them to apologize and give me back the money that they cheated me out of." Vivien's voice was low and full of fear.

This was the first time that she had so much attention on her, and she found it very disconcerting. If she could, she just wanted that simple requirement to be fulfilled, so that she could get out of the limelight as soon as possible!

"But, what if they pay you, but just continue to go on cheating others?" Steve asked.

"I... I... I don't know..." Vivien suddenly felt confused, irritable, and uneasy.

She did not want to make a choice, nor did she know how to make the right choice. For so many years, she had always been very low-key, very simple, and striving to simply live her life. It never occurred to her that she would encounter such a thing, let alone have to make such a big decision!

"Ms. Vivien, this compensation is right in front of you! As long as you withdraw the lawsuit, I'll transfer it to you right now." As Michael opened the online transferring platform, Vivien was stunned to see the eight digit amount that was blinking on it.

She looked at the amount, then at Steve. After a while, Vivien lowered her head and said in a weak voice, "S... Sorry... I can't accept it. I... I can't let you deceive others."

Steve smiled with relief when he heard that. If Vivien couldn't resist the temptation of 10 million in original gold, he could only say that he had thought of her wrongly all this time. He was very proud of her, as many people would not have such a noble mentality!

"Mr. Michael, you have heard it, Vivien refuses to negotiate or be swayed by your hush money. You should accept the legal punishment." Steve said calmly.

He looked down at Vivien, who looked pale, almost as if she thought that she had done something wrong. He smiled, stroked her head, then said, "You did the right thing."

Michael and Jim looked pale, but after a while, Michael's eyes flashed with a hint or mercilessness. "Mr. Pharmacist, you're offending the Black Tiger Store and the Babbitt Group. That's not a smart move!"

"Are you threatening me?" Steve narrowed his eyes and said icily, "I hate being threatened..."

"Oh, you are a noble pharmacist. I dare not threaten you. It's just that..." Michael looked at Vivien with a sneer and said, "This lady should be careful when she goes out in the future..."

Steve's face turned stony instantly, as he was not afraid of being threatened, but Vivien was different! After all, she had no means of protecting herself and her level of cell activation was quite weak.

"Don't you dare do anything to her!" Steve said angrily.

"You have forced me to do this by making such a big deal out of everything. So, since you won't let me off, I won't let her off so easily either!" Michael looked at Vivien with murderous eyes.

Vivien hid behind Steve in fear. Steve was furious. He felt helpless, as he couldn't bring Vivien around with him every day to protect her.

"Sir, the Blood-Sucking Grass you wanted is here!" A woman's voice rang out, and Lina, the pretty sales clerk, came running out happily. It had taken her all that time to find the Blood-Sucking Grass!

However, when she arrived, she suddenly found that there seemed to be something wrong with the atmosphere at the scene. It was quite tense!

"So, you came here to shop..." Michael sneered. "Bring me the Blood-Sucking Grass!"

Lina looked at Michael, then at Steve. After a moment of hesitation, she handed Michael the Blood-Sucking Grass. "Manager, this is the Blood-Sucking Grass that this gentleman bought."

"Sorry, the Blood-Sucking Grass has already been spoken for," Michael's said icily.

"Manager, I've read the record. No one ordered this Blood-Sucking Grass…" Lina said, confused.

However, halfway through her sentence, she was interrupted by Michael, who scolded, "If I said that it has been spoken for, then it has been! Do you want to lose your job? No? Then shut your mouth!"

Steve frowned, as he didn't expect Micheal to do such a mean thing.

"Even if you don't sell it to me, I can still buy it somewhere else." Although Steve was desperate to cultivate his spiritual power serums, the Black Tiger Store was not the only place that he could purchase his ingredients.

"Only the Babbitt Group provides the Blood-Sucking Grass here in the Stanlos Base Camp." Michael sneered. "Even on the black market, you won't be able to find it. This plant in my hand is definitely the only one that hasn't been sold yet!"

He shook it in Steve's face, then added, "As long as you are willing to let Ms. Vivien withdraw her lawsuit, I will give you this Blood-Sucking Grass plant. I will also give you two million on top of the agreed upon compensation!"

"If you say it's the last one, it has to truly be the last one!" Steve said. "Don't you dare underestimate a pharmacist! Come on, I won't buy the Blood-Sucking Grass today!"

After he spoke, Steve pulled Vivien away and prepared to leave. Jim looked pale as he watched Steve leave. "What should we do now, Michael?"
